Our last night in Oaxaca, a friend suggested this Japanese Restaurant. We had eaten Mexican food all week and so it was a nice break. I’m Japanese American, so my expectations were hopeful. The menu was quite comprehensive, but I was in Mexico, I thought I should try their sashimi. The toro was amazing and the best I’ve probably ever had.  the sunomono was also very special with the fresh seafood. The ocha was also very good.  I tested quality of the restaurant by their misoshiru. Many restaurants skimp on the amount of miso, but this version is very flavorful. I wish we had discovered it earlier as I probably would’ve eaten here more than once this week. And let’s not forget about the ambience. The waiter explained the history of this building, which was particularly interesting as well as the murals on the walls. Check it out! You won’t be disappointed.
