The Carrollton neighborhood of New Orleans, located near Canal and Bienville, is a melting pot of various nationalities serving delicious food to the public. Diners have been coming to this neighborhood since before 1929 to find great food. More recently, a move to renovate the establishments in the area began with the opening of an Italian restaurant in 1979. Soon, chefs preparing other cuisine types, including Spanish and Latin American, joined the Italian restaurant in Carrollton. After Hurricane Katrina hit the area, many fast-food chains began businesses in this neighborhood because of the number of college students moving here.
