Ocean Prime - Dallas
The menu is classic and yet there is a modern sensibility to the preparations which include lighter fare, like our signature shellfish “cobb” salad and sushi, as well as more indulgent items like our smoking shellfish tower, juicy steaks and decadent desserts. A destination on its own, the OCEAN PRIME lounge offers expertly prepared cocktails like our signature cucumber gimlet or smoking berries & bubbles.
Stunning settings, a vibrant energy and truly genuine hospitality make OCEAN PRIME Dallas an ideal place to socialize, talk business, celebrate and indulge.
My wife and I celebrated our anniversary and the restaurant prepared a wonderful booth for us and all of the staff wished us a happy anniversary. The food and service were fantastic, thank you!
The experience was exceptional! My wife and I will definitely return!
It’s was a amazing night food was excellent
Our evening was perfect. The service and good were outstanding!
Too expensive for what you get. I would tell someone to go to Ruth Chris for a better value. Ambience and service was great !
Me and my boyfriend went to have dinner here on Valentine’s Day was probably one of the best high end restaurants I have ever been to. The food was very good and not as busy as I thought it would be. I requested bar seating because table seating was full and ended up getting a nice booth instead.
Couldn’t have asked for a better dining experience.
First time for us....IT WAS WONDERFUL ! Food, Service, varied menu, everything.
We enjoyed our first time there, on Valentine's day. The staff was attentive and the food was amazing. Will be going back, soon
First tine there- Valentines Day dinner-could only get a reservation at the bar but the ambiance was still excellent, great service and great food. The live music was another bonus. Our bill, on the other hand, was approx $200 before tip...so a bit pricey. I would still go back for a special occasion.
Took the best Pics outside at the fire pit and blue lit tree, great patio and service!
The atmosphere was great and it has an awesome patio area that made the evening. The drinks were amazing but the steak was a little more than medium rare.
Very nice restaurant. The food is great and my husband and I enjoyed the atmosphere. I definitely will visit again.
I’m visiting from out of town so went here based on reviews. Had lunch on Valentines Day. It was not busy when we arrived for 1pm booking.
Waited 10 mins for wine menu.
Waiter attempted to serve others food before we had been given our food menu.
My fish of the day was over seasoned, spicy and salty to the point I could not eat it.
The dining area is a little congested and was a little loud but overall was a good experience.
Food was sub par , calamari was superior some of the I have ever had. Entrees were very poor. Desserts were prepackaged and tasteless
Early Valentine’s Day dinner and special occasion. They were able to add roses to the table to add some flare.
Superb service and fabulous food. Highly recommended.
This was an incredible way to celebrate our anniversary. The ambiance was grand and luxurious without being stuff and the food exquisite. The service was impeccable.
This is a great place to take a loved one on a special occasion or really any time. We had a great experience even thought the lighting was out when we arrived . We decided to stay until the lights came back on and we had a great experience. Our waiter Whitney was great she was very energic and made sur we felt welcomed. She knew the menu and she made it sound exciting when she talked about the food on the menu. Thanks again for a great experience. We will return in the near future for sure.
10 year anniversary dinner:
Amazing service, LACKLUSTER food. Hear me out.
SERVICE IS AMAZING.
NOT TO THE FAULT OF OCEAN PRIME, the power was out in a great portion of the area downtown. We arrived and were greeted by a wonderful woman at the host stand. She sat us at our table, beautifully set, rose pedals etc. There were candles as there was no power in the building. All good so far.
We were offered drinks and were informed that they didn't have the ability to serve food until the power came back. This was fine. The bourbon list is impressive. It's our anniversary, drinks for a bit are fine.
To speak to their high interest in us being satisfied, the gal from the host stand asked if she could help us get a reservation at another place close by as they found out power would be out for a couple hours still.
She came back and told us that the other place was ready when we were. So we were finishing our drinks. Right as I signed the ticket, the power came on. We decided to stay.
This is where my frustration comes from. I ordered the sea bass and my husband the scallops and risotto. My expectation with a place that has Ocean in their name was unfounded.
The sea bass was not warm when it arrived. There was only a dozen people as patrons and we were the first to order dinner that I could see in the part of the restaurant we were in.
Sea bass is mild in flavor so I wasn't expecting some punch of flavor from the fish itself but the champagne truffle sauce was also lacking in temperature, flavor, and dare I say; consistency. It looked as though it had separated. The potatoes were just above room temp. At $48, to eat something that tastes like almost nothing, I was very disappointed. My husband had the scallops which were also not to temperature and the risotto was certainly paste by the time it arrived.
It was our anniversary so I didn't make a fuss after I talked the place up to my husband before. Don't know that I can risk another $200 tab to be unimpressed.
My wife and I recently made the two hour trip to celebrate our anniversary at Ocean Prime Dallas. We were both absolutely blown away with not only the food but the service and the attention to detail. Every aspect of our experience at Ocean Prime was amazing. Will definitely return as often as possible.
The birthday dinner experienced at this restaurant was one to remember. The staff is extremely courteous and ensured the night was exceptional. The food was phenomenal as well as the Ocean Prime margarita. I am going to definitely visit again.
Outstanding service,outstanding meals!
Service was okay. My friend ordered her fish “Oscar style” and they didn’t bring it to her that way. They never asked if I would like another cocktail when my was empty.
My fish (Chilean Seabass) was very salty, and I felt like the asparagus that we ordered as a side was overcooked.
The dessert was okay (carrot cake and a chocolate cake). Overall there are much better places to eat for the price. Try Water Grill for seafood or Pappas Bros for steaks.
I have ready submitted a review on Trip Advisor. Please review the information that was submitted on February 7th 2019
We had a large group and they had us in a separate room off the main dining area as requested. Thanks. Everyone was attentive and made sure we had what we wanted. Texas redfish was good as were the jalapeño au gratin potatoes.
Great place to have dinner for a special occassion
Our meal was spectacular.
Great food. We both ordered the surf and turf and it was so good. The staff were also all great. They really made our anniversary dinner an amazing and memorable experience!
Service was great, ambiance was just as nice. Food was amazing
Ocean Prime never disappoints, and this evening was no exception. Arriving early for our reservation, we were welcomed and seated promptly. Our waiter, Brian, quickly started us off with cocktails (Bubbles and Berries for me and the perfectly mixed Grey Goose martini for the hubs). My favorite thing about this restaurant is how accommodating the kitchen is to its guests. We opted for a cup of the Lobster Bisque, not on the menu but Brian didn't bat an eye. I went for the Filet Oscar special and my husband stuck with his favorite, the Sea Bass. The bisque was rich and held large chunks of lobster meat. Enhancing this wonderful soup is the fresh bread they bring to the table. Both the crusty loaf and the pretzel bites are warm and wonderful. The Sea Bass was perfect as always served with potatoes and a light sauce. The filet was perfectly medium rare with a nice crispy grilled layer on the outside topped with huge pieces of crab. The dish was served on asparagus spears.
What really makes this an outstanding dining experience is the service. Brian was friendly, attentive and worked hard to accommodate my husband's garlic allergy. His menu suggestions were helpful and he gave us plenty of time to try our dishes before checking on us again. He was there when we needed him and offered us time to enjoy our dinner in no rush. We always love seeing the floor manager as he mingles with the tables and were delighted to say hello. This place is a special occasion treat of a way to make a date night an evening to remember. We will return!
Great service. Good food. It was our anniversary and we were treated wonderfully.
First time here and loved it. Originally sat in standard seating, but moved to bar area for better ambiance. Our server, Taylor, was extremely knowledgeable and detailed in the explaination of options. She recommended drinks, appetizers, main courses - all of which we took her suggestions. She was fabulous. The food was delicious and the price was very fair. We will definitely be back.
Good food - excellent wait staff. They did a lovely champagne toast for the guest of honor.
Wonderful lunch experience. Sea bass was very fresh, well prepared, and just melted in my mouth. Our waiter, Fransisco, had just the right touch.
Excellent experience !! The teriyaki salmon was wonderful and service was very good !
