The restaurant is beautiful, the staff very friendly and professional regardless of whether you are buying their most expensive foods or not. They make you feel special each time we’ve been there which is probably about 6 times over several years. The food is always interesting and incredibly delicious.

Absolutely great service and great food. The Tropics dessert was to die for! I would absolutely recommend the Orchids and would come back next time I’m in Waikiki.

Pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. There were some reasonably priced red and white wines too. Service excellent. Would definitely eat there again when next in Honolulu.

From start to finish, from the gazpacho amuse bouche to the coconut cake dessert, this dinner was absolutely amazing. The food choices, preparation and presentation were all fabulous. Our server, Scott, was incredibly friendly, helpful and attentive. The atmosphere was beautiful with a view of Diamond Head and the hula dancer and musical ensemble adjacent to Orchids. Highly recommend the fish mixture cooked in the Carta Fata - yummy. Definitely worth a splurge for a special occasion!

Whenever we stay in Honolulu, we always enjoy breakfast at Orchid's Oceanside Terrace. We've been there for so many years, but we feel the floor service level is a little unstable (depending on person, the service is not always as much attentive and friendly as before) after the re-opening after covid. We hope it gets back to the original Halekulani quality. That said, I felt that the staff who offered to take a family photo was very kind and sincere, and I felt that there were good staff members as well. Looking forward to come back soon.

Hands down the best dining experience for special occasions. I especially appreciate the long-time employees who remember names over many years (such as Darilyn at the front who is always so welcoming). My sister and I enjoyed a lovely birthday breakfast while she was in town. Everything was superb!

We chose to dine at Orchids for a special occasion. We checked the box of having a nice dinner somewhere nice in Waikiki, however I have to say I was very disappointed that Orchids makes absolutely no effort at all of offering a decent healthy plant based option on their menu. There’s a little “well-being selection” symbol next to some of their items which in reality is totally meaningless. The food tasted good, which is to be expected of such an expensive meal but I think Orchids really needs to figure things out and get with the times. The head chef needs to be replaced with someone who understands that food can actually be delicious and healthy, wow imagine that! To top it off, drinks were served with plastic straws, isn’t that illegal now in Hawaii? The valet also offered us single use plastic water bottles. Is it just Orchids or does Halekulani also not care about the health of the people and land of Hawaii?

4年振りのハワイ、ハレクラニのサンデーブランチは以前に比べて値上がりしているし、円高もあって、行こうかどうかすごく迷いましたが、結果行ってよかったです！キラキラと光る海を眺めながら、ローストビーフやオイスター、ココナッツケーキなどの美味しいお料理を楽しみました。テーブルを担当してくれたショーンのサービスも最高で、これぞハレクラニ、という上品な時間を過ごすことができました。ハワイに行く時は必ずまた予約したいと思います。

Halekulani is one of the best if not the best place for an elegant experience. I say experience because it is always more than just a meal. The service is excellent with details that make you feel cared for in the span of time during your sitting. The food is expertly prepared and plated. The staff moves in synchronicity to ensure the water glasses are filled and the tables are cleared of no longer needed utensils and dishes. Just superb. We decided on the prize fixe menu selection and both chose the steak as the main entree. From palette cleanser to the tomato soup starter and the finish with their famous coconut cake, it was delicious.

Everything was superb. The only issue I would have is, I wish the check would come sooner. I was there from 11:30 till about 1:00, and the restaurant gets busy. All the waiters are good and friendly, but someone should come and check on diners 15-20 minutes after the dessert/coffee are served.

We picked this place on a whim to celebrate my husband's military promotion and his Mom's birthday. We wanted a nicer place that was on the water to watch the sunset. It far exceeded our expectations! Every dish we tried was phenomenal and beautifully presented. We especially liked the hamache, mushroom risotto, and grilled octopus. The portions were surprisingly large and the desserts were delicious. Our waiter, I wish I could remember his name, went above and beyond to make our dinner celebration as memorial as possible. Orchids, thank you for making our evening so special!

We loved everything about our dining experience with Orchids . The staff were amazing the food amazing . Benn our waiter was so knowledgeable and informative , Grace she was so knowledgeable too just so charming it truly was awesome to celebrate our wedding anniversary with you all.
