Amazing food, service, and ambiance. It’s truly a hidden treasure amongst the chaos. The olive oil cake was so moist and all their food had a depth of flavor that made every bite so satisfying.

We have been loving Orso for many years. The staff is superior and the menu never disappoints. There is always a nice variety of protein as well as vegetarian options on the menu. The soups and salads and flatbreads are always delicious. The decor is a throwback but that’s what makes a charming.

It’s been years since we visited Orso. Our evening was perfect. Service was superb - from the greeting upon arrival to the table service. Our meal was excellent - cauliflower starter and shrimp risotto. Next time a pizza. Lovely evening.

Arrived early for a drink at the bar, whoops. There is not a bar, however, the maître D gave us a table for short term use before our table reservation was available. Our waiter was amazing and everything else was awesome. Food was fabulous my husband had the muscles linguine I had the striped bass would definitely order both again. Neighborhood was quite nice. Prices were in line with portion and presentation was fun.

This was my second visit this month. I took a couple for their wedding anniversary and Orso has gained another steady customer. The atmosphere is delightful, the noise level is quiet and having a conversation at the table is not a strain. The service is impeccable and the food was delicious. We will be back.

I met a friend and we were given a quiet table for four when there were just two of us. Had a marvelous waiter who brought water many times and was attentive but not intrusive. Food was terrific, and in perfect proportions.

Food was very good. Portions weren't big but they were big enough. Pumpkin cake was great but tiramisu was just so-so. Our server Tracy B was amazing. First thing she asked was if we had a show to get to and she'd make sure we'd be okay for time. She was uber friendly, personable and helpful. In fact all the staff were very hospitable. Would recommend.

Loved our time there. Wonderful waitress, lovely wine, by the glass, even , and the whole evening was light & fun. Only complaint ( minor), was the carpaccio was fatty. But still tasty.

Everything was amazing, starting with their mixed salad, the carpaccio, then the seared scallop risotto, to die for!! We also ordered the rigatoni bologese, also outstanding. For desert, there was no choice but to order the tiaramisu, rumored to be among the best in NY! I could easily see why, rich and creamy, soaked butterfingers, desert that you never forget! Thank you to our wonderful server for your amazing attention to our every request!!

The best pre-theater meal I've had in many years! A warm, welcoming host greeted us at the door; service was attentive, kind, and made sure we were done with more than enough time to get to our show. And the food was uniformly delicious: pappardelle with mushrooms, branzino, prosciutto and pear salad, and the best brussels sprouts I've ever eaten. We will definitely be back.

A great pre theatre choice. Menu has interesting / good Italian fare executed well and consistently. The cocktails are generous and promptly brought to the table. I had calf’s liver on this outing and it had an appealing pink blush on the inside just the way I like it. The almond tart was a great treat to share. Look forward to another visit.

I hadn't been to Orso since before the pandemic. I brought someone who had never been there. What a joy to find the same superb service, beautiful surroundings and absolutely fabulous cuisine. So nice to know there are some things were not impacted by the shutdown.

You won’t get out for less than $100/person, but it’s so worth it. Amazing service, perfect food (the roasted chicken! the fried artichokes!), great wine list, and often fun people watching and celebrity sightings.

We have been coming to ORSO since the late 80s and it never fails to impress. James took great care of us. We arrived 20 minutes early and were graciously seated. The Mussels in tomato broth with grilled bread cushioned our cocktails - a great dry martini (with rocks back from the shaker as requested) and Laphroaig 10. The fegato Veneziano - a large pile, perfectly pink and garnished with crispy balsamic onion wisps - as good as ever and reason to go to ORSO. My Scallops (4 large) on risotto was also terrific. Their place hasn’t skipped a beat in the years we’ve been coming here.
