We went for Sunday brunch and were the first seated. However, we were the last to be served. There was a long wait for our drink order to be taken and even longer for our entree order to be taken. The beverages we ordered were -Rose latte, which was really good -Butterfly pea latte, which tasted like milk -Coconut thai tea, which tasted like it was made with coconut water instead of milk as menu described - a purple drink we sent back because it didn't taste right. The entrees we ordered were - Thai tea french toast - Thai roti banana, which was made with uncooked plaintains NOT bananas, and did not have the foster sauce as menu described - Eggs Royale, which the hollandaise sauce tasted like a stick of butter - scallops and cloud eggs Besides the long wait to place the entree order, there were at least 15-20 minutes between the first entree served, which was the scallops &cloud eggs, and the last entree served, which was the Thai Roti Banana. The decor and ambiance are stunning

Food definitely was not the best tasting or close to authentic for Thai food. The portions were small and the price was extremely high for both the quality and the portions. Perhaps it’s the location that leads to the high prices? That still would not explain the taster quality. The only aspect of this that approaches authenticity is the spice level.

The service wasn't great. Ordered Fried rice without egg but was given with egg. The place was too noisy. The bill was given when we had barely finished eating making us feel like we needed to leave

We had a very nice lunch, our first time back since Osha Thai‘s refurbishment. The tables are spaced more generously than before; a bonus for those of us who worry about too- close contact with strangers. The food was tasty; we liked both appetizers very much. My friend also enjoyed her thom ka soup. While my chicken noodle soup looked stunning, the taste fell short. The broth was bland, and there were no condiments on the table to brighten/season/spice it up. The service was absolutely top notch. We couldn‘t have asked for a friendlier, more attentive server - an absolute plus.

I went for the first time with my family and it’s my new favorite Thai restaurant in the Bay Area!!! I LOVED the Tom kha soup, the drunken noodles, and pumpkin curry. My family loved the eggplant. It was mild but flavorful, exactly how I like my meal. Ambience is beautiful, relative to most Thai places. Gorgeous chandeliers and pink flowers on walls add a very pretty touch. The purple orchids with every dish was such a lovely touch!!

The was our first time here and we were blown away. From the moment we parked conveniently in a parking garage right below to enjoying a perfectly prepared dessert. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant. Everything was so tasty, we barely had anything left over. The wine and drink selection are on point. The service was some of the best service I have ever experienced. Thank you for making our first and most definitely not our last experience at Osha Thai unforgettable.🫶🏻

A beautiful space with an incredible menu. The pad Thai and the coconut soon is divine! Love their cocktails and appetizers. Perfect for a midday lunch and in a wonderful location. The staff was attentive and efficient.

Being from Vancouver Canada where Asian food is really excellent, we were actually disappointed by the unimpressive quality of the food. Our seat was in the corridor near the entry door so drafty and uninspiring. Service was basic. We had had better experience at the Geary and Leavenworth location a few years ago. But I have to say we were quite disappointed at our experience at this location, this time.

I had not been to this location in years and it was better than I remember. Every dish was flavorful and memorable. I was inspired to try new dishes and the service was excellent. Great lounge area, not loud and an overall great experience and value.

That's not a $$ restaurant anymore. I was a big Osha fan in past years and after a long break, I visited the restaurant twice in the past two months. The first time they had a power outage, the menu was limited and food was served cold. I saved the review. Last night I came in with business guests and was negatively surprised (again). The food was served cold again, the dishes were much smaller than I remember and not as tasty. The server was just ok but the price was way up. Any rice dish now cost $24 + $7 for protein (chicken, beef, shrimp) , Pad Thai is charged the same. Main dishes could go up to $45.

This is NOT a $$ restaurant! Misrepresented on Open Table—it is actually a $$$$ restaurant. The prices were $30 and above—only soup and appetizers were less than $30. We were going for my sons birthday, but I did not have the budget to afford this place, so we did not stay. Embarrassing and frustrating that the description was misleading.

Always great service in a bustling environment . Comfortable but almost distractingly loud restaurant. Pricing continues to seem to creep up and portions may be smaller, haven’t tried everything to say, but have noticed some items are smaller. Overall, cost has gotten very high if you order a beverage and appetizer before your main.

Wow, so disappointed. Osha restaurants have been a favorite of ours for years, but since so many have closed, we found ourselves booking a dinner at the Embarcadero location, which seems to be the last one. We immediately knew it would be a problematic night - the entire front house was booked for a big, big wedding dinner. So the two of us were sat in the back room at a large table for four. It took about 15 mins for anyone to come take our order, and I specified a drink first thing. We ordered two appetizers and the fried chicken entre. Both appetizers arrived at once, followed about 5 mins later by our entre...no drink. I was dismayed, because while cold fried chicken is good at a picnic, it's not at a fancy restaurant. Their timing was all completely off, dumping all three dishes practically at once, and it left a very bad impression, and it made for a rushed meal, as with three dishes in front of us, elegant dining was off. Drink still not arrived. I asked for it three times, finally got it as we were finished. Plus was that they comped it. The food was....not great. Their prices seem to have more than doubled, which, yeah, pandemic, etc. I get it, but $40 for some fleshless chicken wings that were fried to a literal crisp? No thank you. The main dish we love, the Tuna Tower, was thankfully as delicious as always, even though they never give you enough chips. But even that dish, which over time has gone from $9.95 at the beginning of their restaurants, to almost $20, has shrunk in size. Alas, I feel we are completely done with this restaurant. So many, many good, and reasonably priced Vietnamese restaurants in SF to go to, we'll pick someplace else next time.
