Service was excellent, lamp was impeccable
We took my daughter here for a birthday celebration dinner. Everything was excellent from the food to the service, as always!!
Normally everything is outstanding but this particular visit the kitchen was “off”. The sommelier had a great personality and wonderful suggestions. The waiter was professional and timely. The food fell very short and the manager was kind to do their best to make it right. We will be back, but it was not the experience we had hoped to have.
Outstanding steak and service. The sommelier was spot on with his wine recommendation. Couldn’t have been better.
My colleague (who has been sober for 18 years) was served an alcoholic beer when he ordered an non alcoholic one.
This is a must try venue. The steak and sides are wonderful. A bit pricey for the average Joe, but wonderful for a special event or celebration. The staff is wonderful and the steaks are fantastic.
Excellent Experience. Would highly recommend to anyone for that special occasion. Steak melted in your mouth. Service was top notch.Rick was Awesome
There was a large group next to us with the ‘ring leader’ being ridiculously loud - like where the entire room could here their conversation. I now know where they live, their kid’s names and ages, what school they attend, what random things her kids said and did, where they work (Cisco), where their mother grew up (Golden, CO), how they got drunk on the job at their Golden business trip at the Coor’s Beer factory, where their last business trip took them, described their Los Angeles trip to a T, how they drank throughout that trip, how tired they are with their home life, who at work is now single, how they can outbeat the competition at work, what logistical changes need to be made, how they’re possibly going to hit up the pool at the hotel afterward, and much.. much.. more. I even saw a map via GPS on where they were born and raised. We couldn’t hear each other talk! I am so sorry but when you haven’t been on a date in over one year, have 4 kids and 2 huge dogs which look like miniature horses running around you like you’re a central magnet for noise and personal entertainment to annoy, and recently completed grad school in critical care nursing, want to pull your weave out due to kids and mini horses driving you up every single wall at home, you’re gonna want to enjoy your dinner that doesn’t include watching Stranger Things on Netflix over ramen noodles or ordering pizza or chinese for matter of convenience and putting the kids to bed (which should be an Olympic sport if you ask me). I have never been around such a rowdy rowdy “professional” group (mainly just one main woman spilling her life story) in an expensive restaurant, but I was so glad to enjoy my $$ Japanese steak after they (she) left. Thanks to both Nathan (Mgr) and John T. (best waiter in the universe), we will come back in another year for our next date night.
We always have to eat here when in Dallas on business. The BEST steaks anywhere.
Food was prepared to our liking. Service was professional, friendly and timely
Server was arrogant, stated he “needed to go say hi to his other table” seemed put out by questions. Was there for a birthday which was noted in my reservation but no mention on his part. Would not go back for a special occasion again.
Absolutely exceptional steak, drinks and service Will definitely be back on my next trip to Dallas!
We enjoyed the great food as usual. The steak was amazingly flavorful. We had Luis serve us this time and he was exceptional! We would definitely request his service again at our next dining.
great ambiance, customer service and the food was amazing!
The food is great, and the service is beyond what we expected. More then 4 people checked in with us on the meal
Pricey but well worth it!
It was great! Service and food was amazing
Service was TERRIBLE! After being incredibly slow for the first 45 minutes, the waiter apologized and was even less present for the next hour+. And the people next to us took 20 pictures with flashes of their food blinding everyone - lovely ambiance.
This place needs rules about flash photos in the dining area and better service. Would not recommend.
Always a wonderful evening at Pappas! Love the Sommelier! Use her every time for great wine recommendations!
Everything was great as usual with one exception I had a bone in filet and it was disappointing. I ordered medium rare and got extremely rare, I can live with that but it was not a great cut a fat is a necessity for this cut but this one was at least 1/2 fat and there is no place for gristle in this cut.
Don't get me wrong I won't let 1 bad steak away me after years of great ones.
The octopus appetizer was devoured by our party - delicious and so tender! Steaks were cooked to perfection and some of the best we’ve ever had. The ladies had filet and the gentlemen had bone-in strips that were the nightly special. Superb!! A little on the pricey side, but not unexpected for the quality of food. We will definitely be back.
Excellent food and great service
Celebrating friends, Birthdays and accomplishments. We had a great time. Our waiter had a great personality. The food was perfect.
Great place. You want the best and you get the best. They are top tier no doubt. Server was awesome and understood that we were not eating much but celebrating anniversary. He didn’t care and treated us like we were a party of 10. Told us and recommended us all kids of things. Great steak (ribeye) and perfectly cooked. The cauliflower with black truffle was amazing along with the crab mac and cheese was to die for. Pecan pie and chocolate cake to end it was truly heaven.
Service and food were spectacular as always.
Great food, great choices, great atmosphere, excellent service.
We tend to go to Pappas Bros. Steakhouse for special occasions. The service is superb and the food is delicious. The sommelier recommended a delightful cabernet. We each started with a salad which were quite large and one of the best I have had. I had the filet and my husband had the rib eye. Mine was tender and flavorful and he said he enjoyed his as well. We shared the lobster mac and cheese and brussel sprouts. We had enough to bring home for another full meal. It is pricey but definitely a must for a special night out.
Ordered the Prime NY Strip steak. It had too much fat for my liking. Our waiter was not the most attentive. I have been to quite a few of the top steakhouses over the last 6 months and would rate this steak as the worst.
An amazing meal at one of our favorite restaurants. Steaks were prepared perfectly and scallop appetizer was fantastic as always.
We we well taken care of by our waiter and were checked on by a floor manager a couple of times. Thanks for a great time
The filet was delicious and the lobster mac and cheese was amazing! This was my first time at Papa's Brothers but not the last.
Our server was awesome. Very knowledgeable and friendly. The food was amazing
Usual excellent standards
Everything was absolutely perfect. If I had to come up with something that could be changed to make the visit even better it would be finding a way to have more light to read the menu by. We started out with an octopus appetizer which was out of this world. First time I had any that was tender and no "rubber" texture. I had the bison and my companion had a porterhouse steak. Both were perfectly cooked and were juicy, tender and flavorfull. The side we liked the most was the creamed spinich. Desserts were large and great. Next time we will probably split one. Our server was nice and attentive. This was our second visit and we will be back. We are saving this for special as we tend to spend a little too much.
Love the new appetizers! Get the lobster & brioche - you will not be disappointed!
Most amazing Steak I have ever had. The service was beyond fantastic never had to ask for a thing.
We went because our friends recommended it. it was okay more expensive and the food was not worth it we didn't think.
Whenever we have a monumental event, birthdays, anniversaries, out of town guests, we always bring them to Pappas. They NEVER disappoint. The service is ALWAYS excellent and so is the food. Not sure which one is the star! They actually outshine each other! We wanted to celebrate our niece, who was home on leave from the Navy. They made her feel very special! I could not have asked for a better experience for her. Our waiter Jerry provided exceptional service and also offered Jailah some wonderful words of wisdom, especially since he was a veteran himself. Derrick, one of the managers, came by our table and welcomed us and thanked her for her service. It was phenomenal evening! Most unexpectedly, the restaurant covered her meal, which left us without words and very appreciative. Thank you Pappas Bros Steakhouse for another memorable evening with the ones we love!
Simply the best
Server Jeff was amazing and the porterhouse was seasoned and cooked to perfection. Jeff suggested the skillet potatoes instead of the mashed potatoes and that was a great suggestion. I can see why Pappa Bros is rated #1 steakhouse in DFW
