LOVED IT!!! Looking forward to our next trip to the Pittsburgh area so we can dine here again. The owner took care of us throughout the evening and was a delight.
Great experience and exceptional food. Wine serving was somewhat small. Too many flies in the restaurant
Last time I dined at Paris 66 was 3 years ago. It was even better today than I remember.
Attentive staff fabulous food quaint atmosphere. Earl are waiter was so enthusiastic and fun made the dining experience even more special. We will be back for sure . Great brunch menu from appetizers to deserts everything was tasty .
Thank you so much foe your beautiful review. Merci!
Our server Earl was exceptional. We had a wonderful anniversary experience, and look forward to returning.
It was my first visit to Paris 66 and the entire experience was top notch. The staff was attentive, conversant on the food and wine and super friendly.
The food was prepared as described with simple executions and good portions. Try to get a table outside if you can to enjoy a great meal in a pleasant atmosphere.
It was my and my boyfriends anniversary. This is my favorite restaurant and as a French major in college it’s just perfect♥️
I love this restaurant. The food is so delicious and unique. Everything is great. We especially enjoyed the foie gras and filet, the sauce is out is this world good
I had a reservation, arrived on time. Staff made it clear that had to find a table for us. Once seated we were left unattended for at least 15 min, as other patrons around us were being served, seated and waited upon. We decided to leave. It’s unfortunate experience, I was genuinely excited to enjoy the atmosphere and food.
Hi Jamie,Thank you for your review. As we said to you when you arrived, we were short staffed like every restaurant and we said to you that it was going to be longer than usual.I looked at from the time you arrived and the time you left and it was exactly 13 minutes, so it is not "At least 15 min" like you said. Not only that but when you decided to leave, you both said to me "Oh, we have an emergency and need to leave". Why lying to me and then decide to write such a bad review? This is Covid!
Always a great experience! Great food, great service (Earl, our server, was lovely), and really a beautiful place to eat.
Thank you so very much for your beautiful review!
No particular reason… just restaurant week😂
Love the environment and the food! I really enjoy the french onion soup and the Crème Brûlée - the best Crème Brûlée in Pittsburgh! My friends enjoyed the chocolate mousse a lot. Great memory here.
Great service. Good food.
Thank you so much!
Lovely ambiance, and very friendly though harried staff. Chose the Restaurant week menu which was probably a mistake. We both had French onion soup which was passable. We both had the duck which appeared to be deep fried and cooked to a crisp. It was equivalent to getting fried chicken. A handful of limp fries on the side was their offering. Abysmal and spoiled what was an anticipated French culinary experience. We understand they were very busy and had two servers and limited kitchen staff per their staff. We also understand that these are very tough times and restaurants are attempting to survive but limit the customers and do it right, not the equivalent to a French fast food restaurant.
We are very sympathetic toward the industry and it’s employees, but don’t underestimate your customer base and lose them in the long term by serving substandard produce. Your potential customer base has many options!
Our French onion soup is made the same way we make it in ParisOur duck is crispy (absolutely not deep fried) on the outside and very moist on the inside, the exact same way we make it in Paris France where I was born and raised. Most restaurants reduce the size of each course during Restaurant Week but we do not do that.If you were " very sympathetic toward the industry" like you said, you would not write a 1 star review in the middle of Covid.Thank you again and I hope to see you soon in person.
Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. We sat outside on their back patio -- quite lovely. The foie gras was unbelievable!
Thank you very much for your review!
This place is a wonderful restaurant. The food and service are consistently excellent. Frederic, the owner, displays the finest hospitality.
Thank you so much for your review!
Take this with a grain of salt because of staffing issues and Restaurant Week. The food was just disappointing. Appetizers tasted like they should cost half what they did. Both entrees were a little over done. For an expensive dinner (>$100 with drinks) it was a disappointment.
Food was very mediocre.
Just a lovely evening. Wonderful experience! Food was great. Soup, escargot, duck and trout. Topped off with creme brûlée and chocolate mousse. Great service
We love coming back to Paris 66, it’s one of our favorite restaurants in Pittsburgh. My mother and I came for restaurant week because their specials are always great. I had the escargot, duck entree and crème brûlée, my mother had the French onion soup, trout and chocolate mousse. Even though the staff kept apologizing for the slow service due to lack of staff we didn’t see any issue with the time between courses, everything we ate was delicious and hot. Ben was our waiter and he was very friendly and an excellent server. I would recommend visiting the restaurant and requesting Ben, you won’t be disappointed.
Thank you very much for your review!
I feel like I've just landed in France at Paris 66. So accommodating and gracious. Wine list is superb!! Lucky to have this resto in Pittsburgh!!
The waiter was very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was charming, like a little Parisienne Cafe, and the menu choices were good. But, we all felt that the prices were excessive for what was (not) included in the meal. Everything was a la carte. No bread was served with the meals. An entree was strictly meat only, and ranged from about $28 to $43. Salads, potatoes, vegetables, were each an extra $5 ((small salad) to $8 (potatoes, green beans). Portions were small. Drinks were also quite pricey. We enjoyed what we had, but expect to spend about $125 + tip for 2 people and come away a bit hungry!
The ambience is great. Onion soup is superb. Food is overall very good as well as the service.
Sat on open patio, felt like a cafe’ in Paris. Service and food was excellent. Have been many times Highly recommend
Wonderful food and very friendly waiter !!
Exquisite as ever. We had enjoyed the menu at this Pittsburgh treasure fairly often ever since it first opened over a decade ago, but we generally frequented it for lunch. The ending of lunch service since its post-pandemic reopening has sadly reduced our opportunities to take advantage of Paris 66's wonderful offerings, but we do try to dine there when we can.
Thank you very much for your review!
I would have liked to feel that I was actually in Paris
I did not feel it
another return and another great meal - even though there was an attempt to serve the main course before we had finished our starters! this was a forgivable glitch in an other wise brilliant meal and experience. we will be back!
Great food and experience. Everyone was friendly and everything tasted great.
Great food and great service! A memorable evening and will certainly be back.
Everything was excellent about our evening! Our server was delightful. The food was delicious. Sitting outside on the patio was quaint and perfect! Will definitely be going back!
Can’t wait to go back!
Excellent food and atmosphere! We will definitely visit again!
We arrived a little early for our reservation but were warmly greeted by who I had to presume was the restaurateur, in french at first then English. We were almost immediately seated even being early. The ambiance was quite nice not overstated at all. We were seated on the patio, our server was attentive and very kind. All food was brought out quickly and was fantastic. everything was cooked as requested and tasted as good if not better than expected. The desserts were made in-house and very good. We will definitely be back.
The food is wonderful but I guess because of the lack of staff, the wait time to get our entrees was extremely long. Those who ordered soup as an appetizer got that quickly but it was almost an hour wait after that to get our entree courses. But it was lovely sitting on the porch and they did make an offer to not put on a gratuity (we were a party of 6) but it wasn't the wait staff's fault so we declined that offer. I certainly would go back because the food is so great...just hoping this staffing issue (everywhere) begins to change.
We have loved going to Paris 66 over the years. Last night was not up to par. The one thing disappointing was that the entries are served with virtually no sides—not even a couple of pieces of carrots or a little mashed or roasted potatoes. And the waitress—who otherwise did a brewer job—didn’t tell us that when ordering so we didn’t get a chance to order sides off the menu.
Also our main course came before we had finished our salad course and then had to wait quite a while cor dessert.
I’m guessing most restaurants are having some difficulty getting back into the groove and we will return to 66 in the future because we like the ambiance and food.
A very excellent restaurant to visit in the city.
Three of us went for Brunch. The food and service were great. Mel..., our server did a great job.
It was our Anniversary. I ordered a glass of wine and if there were 3 ozs in it I’d be surprised..for $12.00. My husband ordered filet and I ordered duck after the waitress recommended it to me over a filet salad. We also ordered a side of fries to share. The filet was dry good but no one offered to give my husband a steak knife. There were no sides at all except the fries. Not even a piece of garnish. The duck was fine, but nothing special for 39.00. I was sorry I didn’t get the salad because then at least I would have had salad and beef. We’ve eaten there before and always loved it. I realize places are adjusting to return after the pandemic, but it was very overpriced for what we got,or I should say didn’t get. We won’t be returning anytime soon if at all. The bill was 125 and 150 after tip as I did not want to take our disappointment out in the waitress. I am willing to pay for a good meal, but that was not t all worth the price.
I think our server was not real experienced. She was sweet, but our wine came when our meal was 3/4 eaten, and our food was only warm when served. We love this restaurant and will certainly return, but this was not their usual quality. We know restaurants are struggling, so we are being patient.
