Pearl District - Westlake
Food, service and ambience was excellent. Highly recommend it.
Our waiter was amazing and very attentive. The food never disappoints.
We will definitely return.
Superb as always!
The food was eclipsed only by the service.
Eric, Chick and the entire staff on Valentine’s day
were wonderful and welcoming. The food was especially
delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
Great to see a second location opened in Sherman Oaks!
Congratulations to Peyman and Richie !!!!
Pearl District never disappoints! We had dinner fir Valentine’s Day. The food was delicious and the waitress was delightful.
Appetizers are EXCELLENT! Braised Ribs! Octopus! Lobster!
We love this restaurant and we feel lucky to have such a gem in our area. The restaurant offers creative food but in a consistent manner, which is hard to achieve.
Pearl District is a local gem, always great food and service. We are never disappointed here and particularly love the daily specials. We only wish Chef would prepare his stellar steak tartare and liver pate appetizers more frequently as they are so D-Lish! All the appetizers are excellent and plentiful to share. Every entree is flavorful, prepared properly. We always have attentive servers, always. The folks in Encino area are going to love PD's newest location and appreciate the experience of this restauranteur. They know food and customer service which is definitely going to stand out in the area.
Food was excellent, waiter knew the menu very well including the wine choices, person at check-in was very communicative, atmosphere was good for 1x1 conversations
I dined at this restaurant for 2nd time and it delivered the same high standards - great food, great service, elegant ambience, and good value for the money. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Staff at this restaurant were superb. Very friendly and accommodating. Food was quite delicious.
Very good food. Would go again. High quality, good portions. Great service. Very comfortable and cozy. Great drinks!
The food was pretty good. My fillet mignon was tasty and cooked properly, my husband’s skirt steak, although cooked properly (medium) was very chewy/tough. We were seated next to a table of four who were so loud (at times using f bombs) that we couldn’t even have a conversation. Not at all the restaurants fault. Our waiter was attentive and helpful.
We love Pearl District —it may be pricey, but it’s the best restaurant in town!
Our second time here and it was just as good as our first visit! Everything was delicious! My husband I are vegan/vegetarian, so we stuck to those options. Fantastic brussel sprouts, a heavenly mushroom polenta (we had the cheese omitted) and it was still amazing! And our finale was the fried rice, which was out of this world! The place is not huge, so I do recommend reservations. A+++
Pearl District used to be a pearl. Maybe it has changed because they are opening a new restaurant in Sherman Oaks and they think they are a “bigger” fish now. I think not!
We were regulars but had a very bad dining experience. The food preparations just seemed not as tasty. The attention to detail seemed to be lost and caring service is definitely gone.. Their fried chicken used to be special...something I would never order anywhere. It was just fried chicken on a bed of puréed yams. The sauce was not good. The branzino was just overwhelmed with too much covering the plate. My friend’s salmon was very good though. Also, the Caesar salad was just mediocre .... that was for all of us. Our friends asked to “share “a Caesar salad. When our bill arrived, there was split charge , although they had their own entrees. Our server, when asked about this, was beyond rude and condescending. Unfortunately, instead of being gracious, he barked back that “this policy is stated on the menu!”
He returned with the check and barked back, “I will remove the charge THIS time!”
The test of a good restaurant is how an issue like this is handled. Unfortunately, Pearl District needs to train their regular servers as well as the newcomers who will open their new restaurant. Rudeness is unacceptable. We will not be regulars anymore!
Always wonderful dishes- special preparations. Relaxing- easy and natural staff. A pleasure.
Terrific place in TO/WLV area. A bit pricey. Will return.
Dined at Pearl District with some friends celebrating two birthdays. We ordered the mushrooms and Brussel sprouts as appetizers. Both were wonderful. My friend and I had the branzino as our entree. It was probably the best branzino I’ve ever had! So delicious. She and I both devoured ours. My husband had the scallops, which were huge and delicious. My friends husband had the special, which was a veal ragu served over pasta. All our portions were fairly large and we all enjoyed very much! Service was attentive. We will be returning to Pearl District again soon.
Great flavors in unique combinations. We were trying each others entrees to sample them all and they all were fantastic. Everyone at the table went home happy!
Food is consistently good here! Lovely ambience, great wine! Nice staff!
Pearl District is the best restaurant in Westlake/Thousand Oaks. The menu features a terrific set of appetizers, with some reliable choices, including a 6 minute egg, salt & pepper shrimp, and 4-6 additional choices that usually include something with pork belly. This time we went with ahi crudo, wild mushrooms, spanish octopus, a duck special, and the gravlax. All were terrific, although the wife didn't love the presentation of the crudo. I gave the ambiance a 4 because the back room (where we sat) doesn't have much going for it. If it's a special occasion, request the front room.
It was excellent we celebrated our anniversary there every was so great 😄
Did not care for their Chardonnay at all. Food is outstanding. Hope they can carry something like J Lohr or Hess.
Great food. Definitely a crowd-pleasing menu. Super presentation. Very nice staff all around.
Good food, good service, a little pricey for what it offers.
Love the Branzino. Great place, good service. Terrific service
My husband and I have been to Pearl District numerous times and generally been happy, but we had an outstanding dinner last week celebrating a milestone anniversary (kinda low key after all of the festivities of Christmas and New Years, but we wanted to do something for the actual date). The chef outdid himself with a delicious duck confit bastilla (pastille?) appetizer--not sure how to spell it, but it was scrumptious. We really should have just ordered two more and called it a day. However, the venison main course was its usual delightful self, and the apple pie dessert was a satisfying ending to the meal. My only complaint is that we wanted a glass of champagne to toast our relationship longevity and the bubbly offerings by the glass were limited (all 2 of them), not actually champagne, and weak. I dutifully finished my glass over the course of dinner (hard to shake a "waste not want not" mentality), but my husband quickly switched to a much more palatable cabernet. This was a minor blip on a wonderful evening. Thank you, Pearl District!
Great dining experience. Everything from the ambiance to food and service were fantastic.
Food was excellent, both in presentation and in flavor. First time going there and we found a new favorite spot. A little underwhelmed by the ambiance but the food and the waiter made up for that.
Great food and great service.
one of our favorite restaurants. Why drive to LA when we have such quality here. Never disappointed with the friendliest service
I eat at all the best 5 star restaurants in LA & Beverly Hills, and this restaurant ranks up there with all of them. The food is just outstanding, and the staff is polite and attentive. Menu is reasonably priced, and full of little surprises. I try and make it a point to dine there at least once a month. Enjoy!
Great food and service
Our server, Stephanie was terrific. She was attentive, knowledgeable, funny. All our food was brought to the table in a timely manner, hot, and Stephanie came over to check a few times to make sure our dinner was perfect. Thank you.
One of my favorite restaurants in Westlake village! always good!
One of our very favorite local restaurants. Service is always attentive with the right amount of friendliness. While the regular menu has some incredible favorites, we love to try the specials as they are always amazing. Our favorite specials are chicken liver crostini, spicy beef tartare, and everything duck! On the menu, the 6-minute egg salad is fantastic, also braised short rib, shisito peppers. The filet mignon entree is excellent, pasta lovers will enjoy the 6 hour braised beef entree. How I wish the Chef would give cooking lessons...because I really love his fusions. Chef is THE BEST in town for imaginative, flavorful food. Laila and Sam are really wonderful servers, but honestly, all staff here are great.
Excellent cuisine. Appealing variety of entrees. Comfortable and classy atmosphere. Service was prompt, friendly, and on point. Highly recommended.
The food was superb as always, and so was the service. They weren't serving our favorite appetizer, but the new one we tried was just as good - which was not really a surprise, as the food at Pearl District is always nearly perfect at minimum.
We connected with some old friends here for dinner and it was perfect. Great wine list and food options to suit everyone. I was really impressed with our server Stephanie, who was able to accommodate our friend’s food allergies. Looking forward to our next visit.
Great flavors, delish meal! Shishitto peppers - yum!
