Seafood | Queen Village, Philadelphia

Little Fish is the best restaurant in Philadelphia. My wife and I dine out every night and we go to good restaurants, but this is our favorite (we dine here at least once a week). Obviously we like fish, but this place is truly unique. It feels like we are able to eat all those special dishes seen on TV prepared by famous chefs. The palette behind the dishes is outstanding and the sauces or the cooking liquids on the plates raise the dishes to a higher level. We order several or all of the small plates and usually share an entrée so as to be able to try the maximum number of offerings. The menu looks similar week-to-week but it actually changes dramatically as the preparations change (the scallop appetizer may be raw one week and pan seared with a spectacular cooking liquid the next). I actually hope you don't read this or don't believe me because it can be challenging to get reservations some weeks. More

This place was awesome. Sat at the bar and Wes, the bartender, was super friendly, plus he made AWESOME drinks. Highly recommend doing the "dealers choice" where you just let the bartender make you something. As far as food goes, we only ordered the ravioli and gnocchi, but they were perfect. Gnocchi were the fluffiest I've ever had, and the Ravioli were perfectly seasoned. Will definitely be back. More

Just dined at Ambra and once again the food and service were spectacular. I agree with many of the other reviewers that the food is on par with the best restaurants in the city (Laurel, Vernick, Volver). The squid ink spaghetti with crab was spectacular as was the peking duck with a fresh corn polenta. But it is getting a bit pricey at $92.00. And the wine list while remaining interesting has very few selections that are less than $100.00. Quite a few over $200. This is a departure from past visits and may explain why the restaurant was less than half full. I will continue to go, although a bit less frequently, and I am seriously considering going down to my wine cellar, bringing my own and paying the $50 corkage. More

Great afternoon lunch on a sleepy summer Saturday. While most of the city was down the Shore or on some exotic vacation, we pretended we were at a Parisian bistro -- and the food certainly transported us there, as always! More

Discover Queen Village

When it comes to eating, there are very few communities in Philadelphia like Queen Village. Fresh seafood restaurants are everywhere, many of which are upper-scale establishments that provide an excellent fine dining atmosphere. Of course, there are also many unique gastropubs that follow a similar fresh seafood theme. The culinary gems of Queen Village are the countless number of bistros and pubs. These establishments offer a combination of entrees ranging from house specialty items to authentic Italian food. There are several steakhouses that cater to those who love a truly good cut of meat when dining out. It is an excellent place for a night out or a day trip that includes a delightful meal or two.
