Wanted to dine here for a long time. Situation never presented itself until 8/3/19.
WELL WORTH THE WAIT!!!
We sat at our table for 20 minutes before I told the hostess we had not been waited on yet. Our water glasses had been filled twice. Also the tables are so close together it’s uncomfortable trying to have a conversation.
Very tasty food and drinks. We sat in a booth so we could look out onto the street which was nice. Would definitely return
The lobster risotto with scallops was perfect. The Caesar salad could have used a little more taste. The dressing was missing a little zing I think
The staff and food were absolutely incredible! Can't wait to revisit!
The food was very good; all the entrees were nicely prepared. The staff treated us well.
Excellent food, excellent service, great atmosphere and servers were able to recommend new meals to me that were delicious!
Ive been referred to Piccola by a few people who said its the best Italian restaurant in Manchester. Prices are what you would expect from a nicer restaurant (think Anniversary, special occasion or you prefer higher end food). Im completely fine when i see a pricier menu so long as Im impressed by the experience. Piccola does NOT let you down.
Ambience: absolutely beautiful restaurant reminiscent of Italy. We sat right in the front window and you’d easily forget you’re in downtown Manchester.
Friendliness of staff: we made a reservation on open table as it was recommended but being a very warm summer night it was unnecessary (better safe than sorry!) we were greeted immediately and cheerfully by a very sweet hostess who gave us our choice of areas to sit. Our waitress was a SUPER sweet and funny little older Italian woman that TOTALLY reminded me of my Italian grandmother, and treated us like we were family over for dinner. She also said shed been there for 18 years, and we could see/feel/taste why.... EXCELLENT service. Fwiw i swear the ‘water boy’? was watching us around the corner because i couldn’t get my glass empty...
Attire: we ride Harleys and dressed as such the night we went in. Absolutely zero issue with that. We may as well have been business formal as far as they were concerned.
Food:...... *wow*...... my wife and I are EXCELLENT cooks. And while I had my sights set high due to a ‘not cheap’ (not expensive but not cheap) menu, Piccola blew us away. I had the Sea scallops and Lobster Risotto. Ive had very good risotto and this was off the chart. Im pretty sure there was an entire lobster in it. I couldn’t take a bite without chunks of lobster meat. My wife had crab stuffed shrimp and mixed vegetables (a favorite of hers) and she pit it on par with the best shed ever had, and said it may actually have been the best.
All in all Piccola is so good we wont bother even trying another Italian restaurant in Manchester... why waste our time.
Everything was Perfect as always!!!
Met a friend for lunch and we enjoyed a wonderful meal without feeling rushed.
The table side Caesar Salad is hands down, the best around!!
Piccola’s Italia Ristorante offers excellent Italian cuisine and great customer service.
Service was Extremely poor. We did 30 minutes to be seated with the reservation. One seated service took a long time to come to the table wait in a long time just for bread. While the food was very good. It was overpriced and the service was chaotic and disorganized. Return visit unlikely.
Yes I would recommend for food. But, when you have a reservation for 6 pm and get there at 5:50 and are told it will be at least a 20 minute wait because a large party came earlier without reservations and were still eating. We along with many other customers who also had 6:00 reservations were being inconvenienced because the restaurant was greedy for extra revenue. Most of us had tickets to shows at 7:30 which resulted in a non relaxing meal.
Soo Good, a bit of the North End in Manchester, NH. Food awesome staff shows pride in their work and makes you feel great. Worth the drive. Warning on nights that there is a show at SNH be sure to get reservations and it will be crowded.
They were very overwhelmed and it took 90 min to get our food. Tables who were seated after us received their food first. But worst of all, the manager grabbed our server by her chin to turn her face toward him. We spoke up and he turned out to be her step father. It was an awful situation. I would not return for this reason alone.
Total failure. We had a 5:30 reservation so we could make a 7:30 play. At six pm they told us it would be at least thirty more minutes to be seated. We left never even being seated. They seem to horrible at living up to their commitments. Terrible experience.
Great food and personable service. Great veal Parmesan!
We had never been to Piccola before so we were taking a risk with having a large group for our son's graduation. We couldn't have been more impressed. The service and food were impeccable. Everyone was super pleased.
Father’s Day dinner!!! As always fantastic dinner!!! Owner Johnny will do anything for his customers.
We were very lucky, we were seated in the window on a great day to people watch. Service was excellent, people very pleasant. Wine selection was great, we tried a recommendation and were very pleased. I also went with the wait staff recommendation for my meal and she NAILED IT! I do like to try different places and it has been a while since I was last here but I will not wait as long for the return trip.
Food is always great. Service is exceptional and love the seating outside.
Food was delicious... very filling and savory. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back!
Great service and delicious food every time we dine here......one of our favorites !!!!
This was a wonderful experience! We brought my parents and all got different dishes and they were all fantastic!! The bread is also so delish!
Food was good as it always is. They had chocolate covered Spumoni for dessert, yum, yum, yum!!! Everyone is always so friendly and nice. We come here for special occasions a lot and just love it!
Food was great ! Staff was even better ! Our waitress Emily was outstanding !
My friends and I love Piccola. We have been many times and always have amazing food, but we went for a girls night Friday the 17th and we displeased with all of our food. I always order the Scallops with lobster risotto. The Scallops we're a bit chewy and the risotto was like cement. My friend ordered the special which, was chicken some type of broccoli pasta and gorgonzola cheese. I took a bite to obviously see why she was being so dramatic and found out. It tasted like sour, old milk. That plate was returned and she was served another meal of her choice. The other plate that was returned I believe was due to not really knowing what an anti Pasto salad is, but she did not like it. We will come again and hope that it was just an off night.
Excellent food, drink and service. We had the Chicken Toscano, Chicken Parmesan , Tiramisu and a few Espresso Martinis. Top notch food and service; Would recommend Piccola Italia to all and will certainly return to explore the menu even more.
The food is unbeatable and the flexibility to customize your order to exactly what you want is fantastic. The wait staff is superb.
I went in expecting this place to be better. Food was not on par with many Italian restaurants that are priced similar. Service was fine and accommodating. The salad we had before our dinner was better than the entree.
Great food and great service. Had a nice Mother’s Day dinner.
Was there for Mother’s Day/Graduation. We made a reservation and we were seated promptly. The service was outstanding, our waitress outstanding and the food was perfect.
One of the best places in Manchester. No kids menu, but our kids love everything they've had there.
The service was excellent. Our server was attentive, helpful and we were not rushed. We were able to enjoy our meal in a relaxed atmosphere. Food was delicious!
Always love this place and the service. Table side Caesar is SO a good!!!
I'm Italian and I cook Italian food. Piccola Italia Ristorante is the real deal. Nothing was left over. We ate everything. We enjoyed the meal and the restaurant itself. The service was personal but not overwhelming. If I ever go back to NH in the Manchester area, I will eat here again.
This was my husband’s birthday choice and we loved everything about it. I recommend totally. You get more than your money’s worth. The servers were outstanding.
Best Chicken Parm with House made Spaghetti in the city!
Excellant all around and our server Eric was fantastic will be back soon
Once one of the better Italian restaurants in Manchester, my last two experiences have been subpar.
My Veal Cutlet Parmigiana was exceptionally oily and soggy. The Calamari had as an appetizer was mostly legs, and was rubbery. The batter was oily and soggy as well. It felt like it was made hours prior and left under the heat lamps.
I am not ready to give up on this spot though as I think it can still return to greatness.
