   Pigeon hole is a Calgary staple. The braised cabbage dish is my absolute favorite. Tried and true restaurant that needs to be cherished!

   A tasty meal, service was quick and attentive, and the atmosphere was great (music was a little loud at times but that may have been the song being played). Attended as part of YYC food and drink expo but will be coming back to partake of the regular menu.

   It was our daughter’s birthday and we decided to meet them at Pigeonhole. Fabulous food, exceptional service and a really fun time. We tried a mixture of the tasting menus and added dishes to share. Gabriel was an excellent host and server. We were treated to a sample of bubbly for the birthday celebration! Thanks for making it a special evening

    Overall, the food and the service was good, but it was loud. The menu is varied, interesting and well executed. The location is great, the building is architecturally interesting, and they give plenty of space between the tables, so customers don’t feel like they’re jammed in. But, Pigeonhole, like so many other restaurants, let it’s good food, service and other charms down by playing music so loud that the only time one can talk is between songs. A good meal is rendered only okay if, when leaving, everyone at the table notes how quiet 17th Ave is in comparison to inside the restaurant.

    Had brunch with friends. I had reserved table for 4. One of us has very strict gluten & dairy free diet. I had put this on reservation, so the server asked who had dietary restrictions and helped with her order. My over hard eggs came out as poached eggs, the server quickly figured out the issue and quickly whisked away my plate. A whole new plate with the correct eggs was brought out about 5mins later. I was very appreciative that everything on the plate was hot (except the bibb salad). We all had a version of the Full breakfast, which was amazing! Nice seating and atmosphere. The music was a little loud at times, but bearable. We all enjoyed ourselves and we will probably go again.

    First time trying brunch at pigeonhole and it was fantastic! We had the cabbage, crab melt, croque madame, mushroom croquettes and the soufflé pancakes. Everything was delicious except the pancakes weren’t our favourite. They did seem a little undercooked in the middle but everything else was just so good we didn’t even mind!

    Pigeonhole is always a go to spot form me. Although, this time around there was a piece of plastic within my hot dog, which wasn't the greatest experience. Overall still a wonderful place!

    The entire experience was saved by our server, who was very professional, approachable and helpful. Our charred cabbage dish must have had an off night because all my wife and I could taste was salt. Our server noticed our reaction and offered to take the dish away, as well as the item off our bill without having to ask. The other dishes were okay, but certainly nothing special. For the price point and reputation, we expected more. Needless to say we won’t be back anytime soon…

    We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner date at Pigeonhole! We went for our anniversary and were pleasantly surprised with everything from the attentive service to the outstanding food and incredible ambience. We left with full bellies raving about the entire experience from appetizers to dessert. We will absolutely be coming back and sharing great reviews with our friends and family too.

    Everything was just great enjoyed the food and the place itself. Sat at the bar had a very nice and helpful bartender serving us. No complaints. We were in a bit of a time crunch trying to get to the Philharmonic so perhaps a bit rushed. Will certainly return.
