Embark on a metamorphic culinary experience in an array of dishes specifically selected by the chefs according to the season and the freshest ingredients of the day.
My second visit to this restaurant, however the new Spring menu was a bit of a disappointment. Having said that the overall service standard is still good.
very confusing cuisine.
if this is a set what does the chef try to say?
duck soup with chicken oil?
cannot take a second spoon.
Definitely a Michelin star-to-be restaurant. Better than expected in all levels!
Wonderful environment and food, will definitely visit again.
Booking was a nightmare. Food was good but below par from expectations.
Dinner with a spectacular view - would recommend it for special occasions such as Valentine's Day etc. Overall food and service are also good.
We went for CNY fireworks and the views were amazing and a nice overall experience.
Nice harbour view and with detail explanation of the dining concept.
Service is good to care the customer's need, starting from the phone confirmation
Quiet environment is good for chit chat.
Unbeatable seaviews and creative food, best for people targeting Japanese and french fusion foods
Excellent service and wonderful food. With Hong Kong harbour view it's romantic place for dinner.
Great dinning experience with spectacular view of Hong Kong Island. All food are very fresh. Ankimo
balsamic vinegar surprisingly tasty even compare with foie gras. Wagyu Fillet is perfectly cooked. Good value selected wine. été is a must try dessert. And the restaurant delivers an excellent service standard!
Nice food, yummy and excellent service
Not to mention the nice harbour view, the restaurant provides super fresh food with creative cooking and professional service. Definitely will come again:)
I don't usually write reviews, and I definitely wouldn't do it just for some missing freebies; it was the unpleasant experience.
We were here to celebrate for my girlfriend's birthday.
Being out of town I made my reservation online at least a week ahead.
I have to say the food was awesome and the service was great.
We were having a good time, until we realised that the birthday occasion remark was completely ignored.
I did miss few calls from the restaurant due to time difference, but when I did call back during business hours there was no one to answer either.
Only until the day before the booking as I arrived HK, they contacted me to discuss nothing but food allergy.
I never had any problems elsewhere with online bookings for other special occassions, especially fine dining.
I would accept that you cannot provide the mango cake because I did not request for it explicitly, or simply of the short notice since both sides were unreachable until the day before.
How about a simple happy birthday wording by chocolate mousse on the dessert plate? A candle? Nothing like that at all.
The managers said it was a miscommunication, and suggested to offer us a complimentary cake on our next visit.
Tell me I am wrong, but it really does sound like "better luck next time" than a sincere solution.
Why should I return for a "complimentary" cake that would be available for anyone upon advanced request anyway?
In the end, we rushed our way out to avoid further awkward feelings watching other tables celebrating birthdays.
The service was good and the food taste excellent. If you expect sea view seating, you'd better mention it during making reservations.
In HK A nu, I got such a nice time with mom.
Actually I'm not prefer the seafood usually, but can be get a have happy time due to feel fresh cook way & each course's connection. It was very inpressive experiance to me. With Great view, the service also can't be except. Especially Serve was smooth & make feel compotable, so easily enjoy the view & food. I want to thanks again to staff's warm welcome.
If someone who want to relax time with Food & person & view, I recommand A Nu in HK. :)
Fresh food, pleasant dining atmosphere with great service.
Overall it's very good especially with those little surprises on the dishes and table setting. The ambiance and facilities are thoughtful. I expect the menu would be changing from time to time to give more surprises to the diners :)
The service is very good, waiter and waitress are really kind and professional.
They can introduce each dishes and told the customer where are the ingredients coming from .
The restaurant have a good day and night view,it's make me want to having a meal again
Very disappointed NYE dinner with this restaurant after hearing some good reviews of its original location in japan. 2 stars for overalll service and experience.
Evening started off badly when we arrived and I mentioned that I tried to reach the restaurant to reconfirm but couldn’t get through and sent a couple emails without response. The hostess rudely said she had tried to call a week ago but no answer and had replied to my email and suggested I check my junk box! (For the record she did reply and it was in fact in my junk box, but did it not occur to you to leave a voice message?) We then get told that there should be a minimum charge but as they could not reach us they would waiver it if we keep to ourselves. I mean come on your at soft opening, you have an empty table next to us all evening on NYE, are you serious? Maybe would of been better you kept that to yourself?
The food overall was ok, nothing really that special. The uni with egg and wagyu were good dishes and so was the fried fish with crispy scales.
Servers were polite but throughout the dinner nobody came over to ask how was the food or ask if we needed anything else. Considering this is a fine dining restaurant I was found pouring my own wine most of the night. Oh and don’t expect any freebies on the house, it’s NYE and they try to upsell you to buy a glass a champagne for the count down after spending over 5k already for your set menu. There are a lot better places to go for half this price.
Tucked in the far most extended end of the revived Ocean Terminal, this little gem offers an innovative cuisine worth exploring at a splurge, if one can get a hold of anyone on the phone. The young chef really tries tirelessly to assemble plates after plates to appease both the visual and taste buds. The presentations are first class and the food actually taste good, and ingredients well specified fashionably. The wine service is executed most professionally and the wine menu admirable and expansive. The decor is modern elegant with beautiful water view in the dining room when not blocked by a mammoth cruise ship. This young restaurant by Chef Shimono is a sure keeper.
