The service was exceptional. The food was great. Very accommodating to food allergies. We had the perfect area for a gathering and the fit our party of 8.
Sophisticated and imaginative combinations of herbs, spices and other ingredients -- all the entrees were interesting and delicious. I like to learn something new from what a chef presents and Acorn did not disappoint. Clearly everyone was having a good time; our servers were attentive but not intrusive. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Although it is on the expensive side, for high-quality local ingredients and competent artistry I don't mind paying a little more to really enjoy an evening out. Welcome back after the pandemic everyone!
We had a delicious brunch. Two of us had fish tacos which were wonderful. Two had short rib hash. Tasted good but too many potatoes. The Bloody Mary’s were very good.
Service was wonderful. We’ll be back.
Great place, a little loud to have a conversation amongst friends.
terrific place - great menu - fab service! Truly classy place!
Wonderful experience. Fantastic service with fresh delicious entrees
Great Service and very good food.
Definitely coming back and will recommend.
Great meal, with attentive service.
The cocktails were interesting variations on classics.
The dinner was fantastic-each dish was an interesting mix of flavors that worked great together.
I had eaten at this restaurant prior to COVID, and the chef used his time to refine earlier dishes and invente a few new ones, better than his earlier creations. Amazing!
Good food. Nice ambiance. Pricey.
Wonderful food and extremely nice experience even for our 18-month-old granddaughter who got special attention.
Birthday dinner! We were taken care of so nicely and it was a great evening! Been here a handful of times and will continue to go!
The food was excellent and so was the service. My partner and I shared the brussels sprouts and the mussels with a glass of wine each and that was more than enough for a meal. I'm sure all of the entrees would have been to the same quality had we had room for them. We couldn't not finish the meal off with the beignets though, which were also excellent.
Loved it! Ordered fish tacos, chilaquiles, pancakes and arugula salas.
beautiful neighborhood restaurant with great food and bar menu
Fantastic experience. Amazing service. Beautiful cocktails! Ashley is wonderful!
This place is incredible. Have already recommended to a slew of people. Amazing brunch! Get the pancakes!
Came for brunch and was impressed as always. The burger is amazing and my wife couldn’t stop raving about the turkey sandwich. We have never had a bad meal at Acorn. Chef Steve and his staff no what they are doing and they do it well.
Perfect for brunch. We had pancakes and quiche and enjoyed both! Our waitress was lovely and efficient.
Service was a little slow, but considering the bartender was doing his job, plus waiting on us and 6 other customers he did wonderful.
Food was delicious and fresh, and I would book a reservation back here again in a heartbeat.
This is the best restaurant in Pittsburgh. The service is wonderful, the food is spectacular and the cocktails are delicious! Ashley was amazing and is so sweet. Highly recommend!
We had a wonderful dinner. The food, atmosphere, service was excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
As always, Acorn delivered great great food, lovely service. The in house bagels are bomb - with anything on them. Terrific brunch! Would recommend to all.
The food was great but the restaurant is so loud you cannot hear anything. It was a mixed experience.
Food was amazing and our server was also wonderful!
first time since the no-mask time began. Great brussel sprout appetizer/small plate and pesto pizza. Didn't love the pappardelle I had but it was surely ok. Waiter was fun, but terrifically busy. our main reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the noise level. Way too loud for us to fully enjoy the experience. I know that's not something that bothers everyone, but in the future we'll look for a quieter day to return.
This is one of the most interesting restaurants in Pittsburgh. The menu is modern, with lots of variety in flavors.
The service is excellent, with cozy seating and a nice bar area.
The quiche was delicious. The only thing I didnt love is paying 4.50 for tea when it's a tea bag, but such a small thing that the food and service made up for!
Our server’s recommendations were perfect! She exaimed that the food is served family style and to try a few things to share. The brussel sprout appetizer was amazing with such complex flavors and a sweetness! The shrimp was delicious as well. We then had the risotto and salmon. Both had added flavors to taste in every bite. It was a excellent dinner experience!
Enjoyed the experience from start to finish. Hostess and our Server, Renee, were excellent - professional and very friendly. Our table located in the rear was nice and probably the quietest location as requested. All four of us enjoyed our dinners - trout, salmon, and pasta. We shared a few starters, cauliflower and shrimp masa. Highly recommend the flavors of the shrimp. We all commented that our wine glass pours were generous and that each of us really enjoyed the selected wines. The carrot cake was also delicious. Our server, Renee, really took care of us. She was personable, efficient, and made great recommendations. In a time when restaurants are having such a hard time finding good people, Acorn has done a great job. Hats off!
Absolutely delicious. God bless the baker; the bagels taste like New York.
The food was excellent. the menu was geared to strongly flavored foods from the appetizer Brussel sprouts and the cauliflower to the entrée salmon which was encrusted in an Egyptian spice mixture.
Acorn is just wonderful and one of our favorite restaurants. The food is creative and delicious, and the staff are helpful, friendly and attentive. Highly recommend!
Loved our first experience at Acorn! The food was fabulous and we enjoyed the atmosphere. We'll definitely return soon!
You must try the clam chowder. It is just the best. Our waiter was also the bartender which meant he was extremely busy, otherwise I’m sure service would have been great.
Limited menu. More a small plates restaurant. Entries so so .
Took my daughter and her friend for brunch and everything was amazing. We had such a great time.
My wife loved the risotto and I loved the pork dish. Very nice restaurant!
This was my second time dining at acorns. The maple Brussels are absolutely amazing. Although the meat was very dry. I ordered the pork and my partner ordered the ribeye, unfortunately both were extremely dry. We only ate a few bites. Taste was close to none as well. We decided not to stay for desert since the entree was terrible. As we were getting ready to pay our tab we found a spider crawling around on the dinner table. I advised our waiter and he seemed not to be phased by the arachnid. Definitely would not recommend. Place is cute and has a great vibe, to bad we didn’t have the best experience
outstanding again. The food was so lovely, perfectly sourced, prepared and presented. Also, the service as close to perfect as it could be, given how busy they are - Super-efficient.
There is not really very much the restaurant can do about this, but people are inconsiderately shouting, a lot. Either because they can't drink or because they are ignorant. Restaurant is awesome, so we will be going back and just hope people will calm their excitement and behave like adults.
This is an excellent restaurant. Locally owned and operated, it has wonderful food and great service. The roast pork is amazing!
