   Suited The Lalit second time!This time for my partners 50th birthday!It was nice,but super expensive so afternoon tea!our bill for three people was £171!It was a great experience and he enjoyed bit I am not sure if I will be back!

We asked for a window table and they did not allow this as this was ‘reserved for lunch’, however for the duration of our 2 hours, no one else came to sit at those tables. 2. We had to keep calling waiters over and felt like they were avoiding our table

   Food was delicious and would thoroughly recommend it. Delighted thst everything was Halal. My only criticism was that we were the only people in the restaurant. There was a lovely touch though, the small birthday brownie at the end as we were celebrating a birthday.

   Overall we had a good experience and the food was delicious. Staff were very attentive. The room was extremely quiet and bright which at time felt odd given the size of the room. The only downside I can say was the explanation provided for the how the afternoon tea works - and getting asked how many afternoon teas we were ordering. That confused matters unnecessarily which meant we ended up sharing the afternoon tea and weren't able to place any additional requests. So if you get asked this question - your answer should be 1 afternoon tea per person. :)

   We went for an afternoon tea as a birthday gift, and it was absolutely fabulous. Sujeetha (I hope I spelled that right!) - our server - was superb, and the food delicious. It's not cheap, but the spectacular surroundings, excellent service and top quality food are totally worth it.

   We had a very nice lunch. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was slightly magical because it was so very different and in a spectacular room The staff was all one could want, welcoming, pleasant and efficient.

   Food was good, we ordered more of what we liked …. Bhel, samosa, chicken roll. Mango lassi and masala chai were very tasty. We were celebrating my friend’s birthday so in the end we got a complementary cheese cake slice with birthday msg which was really a nice touch. We went at 12 pm and were alone in the huge dining hall for nearly an hour. The ambience is good. Overall very good experience.

    I must say I am not writing this review to slag anyone...But for people to be aware/make the corrections We booked an afternoon tea on opentable I am fully aware most afternoon teas close by the evening..As the website specifically mentioned this as Indian afternoon tea...we assumed the last service was at 6 PM..Only when we rang to confirm we were running 5 minutes late we were told that is an error.We ended up going for dinner instead.Food we had was lovely.The samosa chat was perfect .Chai authentic.Paneer tikka was melt in the mouth. Hara bhara kebabs delish...Malai broccoli was nice..Would have preferred crispy broccoli in the malai sauce.The rasamalai and ghajar halwa were good.We skipped the main course as we were running late...The ambience was lovely too as we almost had the place to ourselves.Definite place to try for a special occasion.

    It was a good afternoon indian tea. If I was to be honest, nothing exceptional. We were in the dining room on our own (3 of us) and so the area lacked atmosphere. It would have been good if they had considered moving us to the bar area. The cocktail was nice.

    The venue was empty when we got there at 1pm on Sunday for afternoon tea which we did not mind as we had a little one. It did get busier as we left around 2.30pm with half the venue filled. Food and service was faultless, we enjoyed several rounds of food top up and mango lassi. Definitely would go again.

    We came here for a Valentine's afternoon tea, and boy was it an afternoon tea that was worth the money. Excellent service by Haysten and Sujeetra, incredible Indian food in small portions, delicious high chai tea and free refills on everything! Cannot recommend highly enough.

    Chef Jomon and his team made it a very special day for us. Even with their limitations, Baluchi does an excellent job with the food. Such a lovely twist to the high tea concept. The tea is brilliant. Food from a few indian cities makes the experience complete.

    Food was lovely but more an Indian snack tasting menu than a High Chai. Would have liked the offer of tea (rather than just chai) included within the menu. Also felt that there was too much emphasis on fried foods and ghee rather than other choices.

    Such a beautiful hotel and restaurant! The chef even made us special tea trays to accommodate our party's dietary restrictions and everything was so delicious! Our waiter and the chef were both so nice and accommodating, hopefully we'll have a chance to go there again soon!

    At £47 + 12.5% service charge, this was well over priced. Whilst you could have several helpings the food was nothing special (you don't get everything on the menu - you have to choose between meat or vegetarian which wasn't clear when we ordered and we weren't allowed to try the vegetarian dishes once we'd ordered the meat option). The service was intermittently ok - when the staff were in the vicinity they were attentive (although the waitress kept calling me dear, which I hate), but mostly it was just me & my friend in the dining room with nobody else in sight. Having read the other reviews which were good, I was so disappointed. We spent £67 each for afternoon tea plus a cocktail - I could have had an amazing meal somewhere else for that. I do not recommend.

    Complete farce from start to finish and a ruined 40th birthday treat for my daughter. Sat down at the booked time of 4pm. Surprised it was so quiet and had to ask for service, Told that we start with a selection then order as much more as we wanted after that. Food arrived nearly 30 minutes later. We were asked what additional food we wanted and gave our requirements. 5 minutes later we were advised that the kitchen staff went hame at 4.30 so there was no more food. There was no way we had anything like £47’s worth per head so I asked what was proposed only to be told the duty manager had also gone home. A manager was eventually rustled up who seemed intent on convincing me it was my fault and I eventually had to produce the booking confirmation before he accepted it. After a lengthy wait the waitress came back to offer a 50% discount. I accepted this but baulked at the 12.5% service charge they had the nerve to ask for. Absolutely seething still!

    Afternoon hi-chai at the Baluchi Restaurant was a delightful experience. The masala chai and mango lassi was the best I have tasted in a while. The food was equally good-it wasn't fancy, just wholesome Indian tea time snacks with delicate and authentic flavours and perfect portion sizes. We could also order refills of anything we liked. The decor is a feast for the eyes- I am in love with the blue chandeliers.

    Such a stunning afternoon tea - I can’t believe I’ve just discovered it! For anyone that loves Indian food, I’d highly recommend this. In fact I can see myself coming back here more often than an English style afternoon tea - the menu lends itself so nicely to it especially in the colder months. The wait staff and Chef are lovely as is the food and a special mention to the cocktail menu. I don’t want to give away the menu in the review but all the greatest hits of a North Indian chai party are very much here and prepared beautifully. The hotel is very nice too, took me back instantly.
