As always, Alexi's never fails. The atmosphere was calm, the food was magnificent and the service exemplary.
excellent food, very good service, and a friendly atmosphere. One guest said the halibut special was the best halibut he had ever had in his life.
Food and wine were delicious, staff was very friendly and service was outstanding!
Everything and everyone was great. We really enjoyed the wine and food.
Please pass our thanks to the Matradee Christine (we believe that is her first name).
My friend at the table told Christine the fish tasted old. Christine gave her a new fish entree at no charge and she did not charge my friend for the meal.
We were impressed with her response and friendly customer service.
We are looking forward to our next visit to Alexi's Grill.
Thank you Christine!!
Food was delicious, as always. Service excellent. Great value for Restaurant Week.
Great choice for a great dinner before the Eagles concert. Waiter was outstanding and kept things on track without rushing us. Great ambiance and food.
We tried Alexi's for the first time during AZ Restaurant Week. So glad we did! The choices were extensive on the special menu. My husband and I both had the Calamari to start. Breading was light and crispy and the marinara was tasty. The house salad was served on a cold plate so the greens were crispy. The dressing was very good, too. I had the Shrimp Scampi which was delicious and something I would definitely order again. The shrimp were meaty and not overdone. The angel hair pasta was cooked just right which is hard to do with such a fine pasta. My husband had the Lobster Ravioli which he loved. A really fine Tiramisu ended our meal. The bonus was a glass of house wine. My Chardonnay was the only less than great part of the meal. We will be back!
good value....excellent food....reminded me of restaurants as they use to be
Came here for restaurant week. Stopped in early to get a drink and the hostess was very rude to us. Bar service was awful. They made it very clear they did not care to serve us. Once we got to the table, our waitress was pretty attentive and the food was mediocre. Ambiance was non-existent; it felt like a Denny’s. While it wasn’t the worst dining experience, I would not recommend to my friends, nor would I return to eat here.
It was Friday night and also restaurant week, so lots of people. Food was very good, and service was outstanding.
Just a great place. Food, service and value can;t be beat.
Very good food and very accommodating service. It was restaurant week, so that was an added bonus. I chose the trout dinner, very well done!
I love this place, but they really struggled last evening with slow service. Our waiter was great, but clearly trying to cover too many tables. I think like many restaurants these days they were short on staff. I hope the next time we go, (and there will be a next time), this can be fixed.
It was a fine night out. But very busy, and took quite a while to get our food.
Went out with a friend we hadn’t seen in some time for Arizona Restaurant Week. Hadn’t been to Alexi’s before, but we’ll surely be back. Great food & service at a very reasonable price!
Excellent food and expert service. Ate during AZ Restaurant Week and menu had several options and included wine.
We went on a date for Restaurant Week. I had the calamari, the salad, the shrimp scampi, and the limoncello cake. All of the food was delicious! My partner had the capers, salad, salmon, and limoncello cake. He was also very pleased. The place was crowded and a bit noisy but I think that's because everyone was enjoying the RW deal. Our server Ryan was friendly and attentive. Overall we had a great time. The only thing I would dock points for is that the restaurant decor is super outdated and took away from the experience. We recommend eating here!
Arizona Restaurant Week - this was a good choice.
Great place for an enjoyable evening with friends.
First time at this restaurant. Will definitely come back?
First visit during restaurant week to check out Alexy's. Wow, what a disappointment! Appetizer was the calamari which was greasy and grizzly. Yuck!!! House salad was fine...no choice of dressing. Entree was lobster ravioli which had a heavy cream sauce, but no morsels of lobster and the ravioli was undercooked...no al dente that's for sure. Ate one ravioli and left the rest. Husband had the pork chop which had a reasonable flavor, but WAY overcooked. But at least the entire dinner wasn't a loss as we each enjoyed the limoncello cake. Best part of the entire experience was our waiter...outstanding service on a busy night. All in all, we made this reservation thinking it looked like a great deal at $33 per person for a 4 course meal. But when the only part of the meal that was enjoyable was the salads and dessert, it really wasn't that great of a deal. We will not be returning to Alexy's based on this experience.
Great as always.. delicious food great service 👍
This restaurant I’d give it a 5 star review, the food and service was top notch. Our server Ana was the best, we all walked away saying we’ll be back.
My trout with almonds was outstanding be as usual.
My husband, myself and our two adult children always go to Alexi's during Arizona Restaurant Week as it always has spectacular offerings. Their four course specials including a glass of wine were great. The appetizer included Fried Calamari
with a touch of garlic & Marinara, Caprese, and Home Made Meatballs over Penne Marinara. Between us we had all three (note the Meatball offering was so large, we took some home for lunch today). The second course included either a salad or soup. The Main Course offered: Lobster Ravioli With lobster cream sauce and fresh spinach, Shrimp Scampi Served over angel hair, Poached Salmon Lemon-dill sauce, served with potatoes and vegetables, Pork Chop - Thick cut, bone in broiled pork chop in a brandy shallot demi-glace served with potatoes and vegetables, or
Chicken Milano - Grilled chicken breast sauteed in white wine cream sauce, sun dried tomatoes, mushrooms and fresh basil served with potatoes and vegetables. As usual for Alexi's all the choices looked delicious making it hard to choose. We loved the Salmon and the Lobster Ravioli. Lastly, their desserts are fabulous - Lemoncello Mascarpone Cake, Spumoni Ice Cream or Tiramisu. Had never tried their Spumoni Ice Cream before but chose it last night as a lighter dessert. It was fantastic. Restaurant Week continues to Sept. 26th. Highly recommend you get to Alexi's during the next week.
The restaurant had a welcoming, warm vibe and it was very busy with diners who were having a great time so I could overlook the lack of ambience. Our waiter did an excellent job and was very professional. I had the chicken which had a sauce that was amazing and my husband loved his lobster stuffed ravioli!
My suggestions would be to upgrade the the silverware and touch up on walls etc. that are showing wear. Will absolutely go there again and bring family and friends.
We enjoyed our food but it was very noisy.!
Alexi's is at the base of a high rise building with a large parking lot. We went for Restaurant Week on a Friday night & we were impressed enough to go again in the future. Food was very good to excellent & service was great. My only concern was that there was little to no distancing between groups and masks appeared to be optional for employees. They do have a large patio which will be a great choice when the weather is a bit cooler.
Great restaurant for a business lunch. Nice menu variety too. Plenty of free parking.
Friendly and attentive service. Food portions very generous and tasty.
The chicken marsala was excellent and the lobster macaroni and cheese was outstanding. Staff is friendly and make you feel at home
i don't think they put any alcohol in their happy hour drinks. You can heed my warning, or not.
Although Alexi’s has been around for a long time, we had never been there and wanted to try it. The decor was dated, but we didn’t mind it. Our server was attentive and friendly. He gave us both soup and salad. He also provided our tiramisu free of charge since we were first time guests. The food was very good and prices were reasonable. We learned that Alexi’s shares ownership with Christo’s which we also enjoy. Overall, great experience and we would definitely return.
We had an enjoyable evening
My first time trying Alexi’s. From the moment we walked in the door the staff was friendly and welcoming. The waiter was very helpful and guided our choices making sure we had just what we wanted. The food was amazing!!! Dessert was sublime. We will be back.
The halibut special and cannelloni were expertly prepared and delicious! The service was excellent - courteous and attentive. We will definitely be back when we're in town!
I don't know where to begin. We've always driven by but the 5-star review on OpenTable convinced us to try it.
It's a nice relaxing ambiance inside. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive. My husband got the Portofino (a special for the day) and it was PACKED with seafood and an amazingly delicious cream sauce. I got the vegetable pasta with pesto. Large portions and extremely flavorful. Prices were very reasonable. Everything about this place was impressive. Can't wait to come back when the weather cold so we can in their outdoor area.
Excellent neighborhood spot. Food is always on the mark.
Alexi's has that buzz that lets you know you are in a place where friends gather for dinner and a cocktail or two. As you suspect they have been doing for years. Our waiter was colorful and comfortable, capably describing a series of the evening's specials and making sure we were having a good time, even involving us in celebrating the birthday of a diner at an adjoining table. The drinks were tasty and reasonably priced. The menu offered a number of choices, again reasonably priced. Our dinners were nicely prepared and included a choice of navy bean soup or dinner salad. We even chose to split a strawberry covered cheesecake slice. A nice night out.
