I ordered Shrimp and Grits. The shrimps were good , but the grits were not well cooked. The eggplant pieces were hard, as well as the chorizo pieces. The Eggs Benedict my husband ordered were regular. But the potatoes were not. We expect a much better food in a place like that. Only the gingerbread pancakes and the coffee were good. We felt very disappointed.

Service was extremely slow even with very few other customers. It took 15-20 min to get a glass of wine. Never saw wine list because “another table was looking at”. We were told wine we had just drank in bar wasn’t available in restaurant and of course was more expensive. Water was $14/bottle (again not told price). Since just getting drinks took so long, we only ordered 2 overpriced mediocre salads. Do not go to restaurant. Go to the bar which has wonderful service and great ambience.

We had a nice booth, it wasnt too busy or noisy. The appetizers we had were good but the batata hara was better than the octopus in terms of flavor explosion but both wete enjoyable. The swordfish and lamb confit were equally delicious. The basque cheesecake was very good. Cocktails and alcohol were ridiculously priced and they charge you a grip for the voss water at your table. Id ask for tap and save a few bucks, though this is a place you come to splurge i guess, but still. Im not trying to splurge on water.

I had a poor experience with Open Table as I was charged twice for the same reservation. I am trying to sort it out with American Express but with little success. The restaurant itself was fine and the lamb we ordered very good, but how do I get Open Table to remove the extra $ 287.50 (on top of the $ 250.00 plus) that we paid for the meal? The manager at Alhambra tried to straighten it out, but I will never make a reservation on Open Table again, as my AmEx account is frozen because of this debacle. I am unable to access my account to see my current balance.

First time dining at Alhambra was awesome! Impeccable service from seating to service. We enjoyed incredible food and wine offerings in a beautiful dining room and posh circular booth. Don’t miss the short ribs bourguignon entree, so delicious! We also enjoyed breakfast and the focaccia French toast was a game-changer! Highly recommend Alhambra for anyone seeking a high-end and delicious dining experience! Perfect for any celebration!

Waiter poured tap water into my $14 sparkling water. Had to seek revised bill because I was mistakenly charged for a fruit bowel we never ordered (or received). I ordered a glass of Chardonnay, and they served me the most expensive one on the menu at $40/glass. Great atmosphere.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our brunch at the Alhambra. It was the perfect ending to a lovely stay in DC at the St Regis Hotel. The eggs Benedict with smoked salmon was delicious. Wish we could have taken advantage of the bottomless mimosas but we had to drive back home afterwards. The staff were very friendly and gave us top notch service.

Ask for Sofian - a fantastic waiter! Excellent selection of appetizers, main courses, sides, and desserts. They also had a good wine list for pairing. The restaurant features charming ambiance in a cozy dining room or individual alcoves. Though near the hotel lobby, we didn't hear anything from outside.

I made a reservation and upon arrival nobody came to greet me. I went ahead and asked someone they said the hostess should be back soon (she wasn’t). The place was rather empty, with just a few customers. Finally someone got us a table. They had just changed the menu and didn’t have any waffles I then ordered a focaccia French toast which was OK. The mimosa was good. The waiter was nice. The experience was not at all what I expected.
