Very good pasta with interesting sauces. Wine list whilst extensive is quite expensive. Little choice below $100 per bottle.

What better way to spend Friday lunch than eating at Alta. Exceptional food: Piedmontese cuisine really well executed (having been to Piedmont enough times to know the food well enough to confidently comment!). The $55 lunch menu, with the option to BYO with reasonably priced corkage, meant this was also exceptional value for money. This is such a good restaurant I keep coming back. The only thing that leaves me scratching my head is why more people aren’t here for lunch.

Was an awesome experience from start to finish. We had the set menu and couldn’t fault any of the dishes, size of servings or cost. We definitely left full and happy. All staff were professional, friendly and knowledgeable. The wine choices they helped us with were spot on. Will definitely be back.

Alta was brilliant. There was 3 of us dining and we tried everything omn the lunch menu - every dish was amazing. Our second time at Alta but definitely not the last - oner of the best Itralian restaurants in Melbourne. Incredibly good value for such beautiful food.
