Our server was incredible. He quickly served a party of 18 that he didn’t know was coming. He was very friendly and communicated well with the group. This was the first time i ever wanted to willingly tip more than 20%.

Fabulous place mainly due to the amazing madiger from Georgia - Tega? He was incredible to customers and had a great relationship with staff. We will definitely go back often.

This is a hard review to write. We were grateful for the restaurant for accomodating the size of our party, but wish that the experience had been better. This was the only location we could find in the area that would accomodate our large party in a fluid manner. We knew that some people needed to eat early because they had a sitter, but others were coming after work, etc. so it was not possible to get everyone there at the same time. All other restaurants required everyone to be there at one time in order to seat us with just a 10 minute grace period. That said, it felt like they were out of EVERYTHING! They didn't have sangria (it is on the menu), iced tea, soda, or ceviche. Essentially, your choice of drink was water or a margarita. I'll rate the food as decent. Our party of 15 had mixed reviews of the food commenting between good and greasy. The waiter and busboy were good, but there was an older man who acted as though we were an inconvenience. He was quite loud and seemed to be in charge. He got angry with us toward the end as people were leaving because some wanted to pay for their meals and leave. He wanted it all on one card. My guidance to the restaurant would be to make that clear when a large party makes a reservation. At the end of the day, the restaurant lost out on a lot of revenue from our table. Imagine how much larger that bill would have been had we all been able to enjoy some sangria? Again, grateful for the space to be able to gather with friends, but wish the experience had been better.

Excellent service, ambiance. Right in the heart of Georgetown. The owner was very friendly and accommodating with our group of 4 adults and 4 teens. The food was delicious! Restaurant was clean and cheerfully decorated. Would return when in DC again.

This was a solid Mexican restaurant. Nothing out of the ordinary but the food was good, the server was nice, and it wasn't so loud that we had to about to hear each other. I'd go back.

We were 10 minutes late for the reservation but this was not an issue for the restaurant and we were seated promptly. The food is needs to be more flavorful. The chicken chimichanga which I ordered needed to be deep fried for a longer time so that it is more crispy. The veggie burrito which was ordered by my wife had a lot of rice inside rather than only veggies. On the other hand, The hot salsa was amazing. The margarita was made well. The ambience is great, the service is great. The owner is very friendly. We are only 2 of us, but the check already had more than 25% gratuity put on it. I know that the restaurants are hurting due to Covid, but this was highly unfair in my opinion. I don't remember seeing this either on the menu or on their website.

Cute little Mexican restaurant with a pretty basic menu but all the food was great! Get the Amigo Mio marg if you like a little spice! The owner was great and he made sure we were taken care of! Would definitely go back. Casual atmosphere and overall good food!

Where to begin? Out of the only decent beer. Out of CHIPS. Served us clearly the bottom of the chip barrel as our overpriced Nacho order. $14 margaritas were lackluster. Servers ignored us. Only good thing was the table by the window where we could watch others who had chosen better restaurants as they passed by…

Great meal - we tried a variety from the menu and it was all delicious. Every staff member was warm and welcoming. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend for casual fair that allows you to have a conversation at your table without a lot kf noise.

I don't know why this place isn't packed. The food is extremely good, both fresh and very well prepared. Service is good. Owner is there and friendly. It's not cheap, but the food is more than worth it.

Amigo Mio is a great small restaurant in Georgetown. The service was great and the staff were very friendly. The food was great. My steak tacos were delicious and the steak was well seasoned and perfectly cooked. It was our friend's birthday and they gave him a slice of tres leches cake. It was SO good. Definitely check this place out if you're around.

The prices are perfect to what the portions are, don’t let “Mr and Mss. always unhappy” and desperate people’s reviews fool you. Very good addition to Georgetown area. We will be back for sure

$12 “table side guac” was a mixture they cut out of a pre-made package paired with six tortilla chips on a plate. Queso was basically ball park nacho cheese. Value and pricing are extremely misaligned at Amigo Mio.

It's a new restaurant and decor looks very nice. The food comes in really small portions but it tastes good. There is no French fries at all even though they sell wings at the location. They ran out of the specific beer that it was on the menu. It states that is Mexican authentic but it is not. Overall not a bad place to visit but you will not get full with the food.
