What Insiders Are Saying
Angelini Osteria is one of the great Italian restaurants of Los Angeles.
Always the best!
Greatest hosting with delicious food. Love!!!
Great food, a little noisy but added to the atmosphere.
This was my second visit to Angelini. It was a dear friend's birthday and we had both loved our lunch (and the overall experience) last year at this time when we were there for the same reason! This is an A++ experience. A tad pricey, but worth every penny. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
Best Italian restaurant in Los Angeles. Italian owner, chef, waiters.
Would not go back. Had to ask for cheese. No one filled our water glasses. Noise level was high. But not as high as the wine prices. $17 for two ounces of white wine.
Fantastic food and experience! We went for an early dinner to avoid the crowd. We ordered the calamari, truffle pasta and panna cota. They were amazing! Will be back to try more items!
wonderful restaurant. Great staff. Lasagna eccellente! Lamb chops favoloso!
Great pasta Good wine
Over rated and over priced. Outstanding service, but deafening acoustics. Lunch of two mediocre pasts, two very good deserts, two bottles of beer, and one glass of wine for $136, plus tip. Not a good value.
This place has been around for a Los Angeles eon. Always consistent, and delightful. Great wine. Great food. Great Italian in LA.
Angelini Osteria is the number 1 restaurant in Los Angeles!
Food and service was amazing! The tagliolini al limone is one of the best pasta dishes I’ve ever had.
Always a wonderful and delicious experience! One of my favorite restaurants in LA!!!!
We loved the branzino fish. The food is always great.
Best Italian food i had in LA
Most of us thoroughly enjoyed our dinner, while one pasta dish was just okay. The staff were extremely courteous, friendly, and attentive. The server bringing the entrees, however, kept giving the dishes to the wrong people and the dessert for the birthday boy was the wrong one. But overall, the food was delicious and we would definitely go back again!
Let me start by saying if you have never been here do yourself a favor and make a reservation...QUICK! They have valet, which was super convenient and from the moment we stepped out of the car everyone was amazing! Our waiter was the best and the food was unbelievable!! I was in Burbank for a business trip and ventured here...and it did not disappoint. The mussels and clams were to die for and the pasta dishes we had were cooked to absolute perfection. It is a tiny space so be prepared to get to know your neighbor lol, but the food and service blew me away! Will definitely be going back when I am here for my next business trip.
Best lemon pasta!!!!
Annual girlfriend; birthday
Authentic Italian Authentic Server’s Authentic Chef and food
Always delicious. The little appetizers set your mood. I had delicious red ITALIAN wine. My partner had white sparkling wine.
Angelina Osteria's food is quite simply outstanding in every respect. This is one of the five best Italian restaurants I have ever eaten at in NYC, Los Angeles, Boston, Florence and Rome. The service is excellent, constant and consistent - you never have to wait at this restaurant. The level of commitment by the chefs and the waiters is exceptional.
Dinner was underwhelming, a better spot for lunch. Insalata tricolore was tasteless and looked like it had been prepared hours before. Same with the spinach that came with my salmon, which was over cooked. Too expensive for the experience.
Always the best pasta in town coupled with great service. I take only special guests to Angelini and it never fails to impress them.
We were visiting LA and wanted a great Italian casual but fun California vibe. We went to GOOP LA for ideas and this was it. Had the best time, was crowded attentive service & food was great!
Fantastic service. Fantastic food. Just a little noisy and the room got quite hot but the air did kick on right as we were eating desert. We love this place.
This restaurant was a big disappointment. The pasta dishes were outstanding, but the appetizers and desserts were average at best.
Here are the specifics:
Braised baby artichoke hearts were bland and flavorless. One star out of five.
Clams and mussels did not taste fresh. The broth had almost a metallic taste. Two stars out of five.
Anchovies with beets were good but that was because the beets were flavorful. Nothing special. Three stars out of five.
Desserts were average. Three stars out of five.
Pasta dishes were wonderful. Five stars
Overall, this restaurant does not meet its lofty reputation. They should put the same thought into appetizers as they do their pasta dishes.
It’s a shame when a restaurant has some wonderful dishes and some that are truly awful.
The finest restaurants in Los Angeles do not turn out any dishes that are average at best. This restaurant does not meet that standard.
Nice place. Just not a fan of their pizza.
There is no wonder why Angelini O. has been at or near the top of everyone’s list of best restaurant in LOS Angeles. The food, EVERYTHING, is outstanding. And there’s plenty for vegetarians too. Pastas made in-house squeal with flavor and texture. Salads were inspirational. Entrees run the gamut of any delight you want.
Wine selection wide and delcious
Excellent!!!! Every single time we go!!!
The owner went above and beyond to make us feel welcome!
Food is incredible. The ambiance and overall experience is a delight.
Scallops were completely overcooked and actually charred. We sent them back with only one eaten and they didn't even offer to remove it from the bill. The chicken skin was amazing but the actual chicken meat was bland. The lemon pasta was definitely not worth the price. There were people in there taking video of the place and everyone eating which I can not stand. It was loud, bright and has lost its elegance. They have become too busy since being seen on food network and open table emailing everyone NPH and his husbands top picks and it seems the quality of the food suffered severely. When you blow something up that big it is a shame. They totally get a fail in my opinion. Why do you at opentable have to medal that way?
Very expensive and not especially good. It is also very crowded.
This is undoubtedly the best Italian restaurant in Los Angeles. As soon as I step through the door, I feel like I have arrived in Italy. A lot of people working there are from Italy, and this is noticeable in the food and service you receive. They really pride themselves on the food they serve, and this reminds me a lot of my holidays in Italy.
This is an impeccable restaurant. I hadn’t been here in a few years and was so happy when a friend invited me to join her. The service and food are as great as I remember. The highlights are the warm ambience, the lack of pretension, and food that I’m going to dream about for days to come.
Always a wonderful meal at Angelini Osteria. Waiters are attentive and polite and Gino is always, always there to make sure his clientele are pleased. Love that you are seated even if your party is not complete but will be there any moment - I really appreciate that! Food is always so delicious and you are never rushed.
All the home-made pasta dishes are consistently delicious and never disappoint. We met a man from New York who never misses a chance to come to Angelinis when he is in town--that says something. My pumpkin ravioli was very fresh tasting and my friend's spaghetti Mancini was mouth watering. Our dessert was an apple tart with raisins, also very good. Can't wait to return.
