This is the best view I have seen overlooking the Victoria Harbour from a restaurant. The ambience is nice, and it has great food and services. The price is high, but for the view and experiences it is worth going for your special events or celebration
The view is spectacular and the reason we went back to enjoy with the family. I think it is very expensive for what it is and to charge so much, the expectation of food and service should all be in sync.
Last night was a special night to be with the family and the view was breathtaking!
I would recommend for the view.
It sits at a wonderful view of HK harbor. Quality food and service, good place to go for a special occasion.
Service was good..waiters were attentive. View was spectacular!
The menu could be expanded to add more different types of cuisines..especially for vegeterians.
online reservations is easy to make. food taste good. staffs are friendly.
Bit disappointing. Food wasn’t special, my dish wasn’t even really warm. They didn’t have several wines that were on the menu. No eye for detail regarding drinks (no pieces of fruit where you expect them). The view is spectacular though.
Outstanding services with top harbor view in Hong Kong. Wonderful experience for event night, window seat is highly recommended!
Nice view, service, food thanks for the wonderful night
The food was delicious and the service was very good. The food was served very quickly, and it was overall a very good experience.
The brunch was very good - food was brilliant, the DJ completely knocked it out of the park and they offered Oysters on the house which was very lovely.
The main issue was the service. The staff weren't attentive enough and some of the orders we placed were delayed. The risotto came after we had our desserts, the drinks were mostly delayed, the kitchen closed at 2.40pm even though the brunch was until 3pm (we were not told of this prior to the time).
Overall we had a good time - just needed better service
Spectacular view and stylish interior design. However food quality has much to do to please customers taste bud.
Unfortunately I didn’t get a window table but that would be the only disappointment ; the rest of the experience was great; great food, ambience and service ; a bit pricey but as expected ;
After dinner I found out about the lounge which is also a good experience for a drink after dinner
It was a great dinner
Nice view when looking out from the restaurant. A wide variety of food and wine offered by the restaurant. Enjoyable when dining there as staff did provided a good service to customers.
Unique dining with a great view of the Victoria Harbour.
Food was just ok for the price we paid. First dish was served without the wine that they took too long to find…it arrived half way through our first course.
Staff did not deliver à fond farewell…the host was focusing on her phone while waiting for the elevator….
We had a wonderful time. The food was delicious. The meat on the course seemed a little disappointing. I will go again.
Very poor service. Forgot an appetiser. The other one was cold. Tried to make up for it with a free tea and limoncello at the end which was good of them but the damage had been done by then.
Food quality has gone done since 3 years ago. Some are not even restaurants standard! Let alone when you pay HKD3000 for 2 pax!
Good service and a pleasant night enjoying the benign view at Aqua.
Great food great service awesome view! This was my third time and will definitely go again!
The overall experience was really good. We enjoyed the sashimi platter and the rolls. The service was mixed. Took a while for anyone to take notice of us. Service from a lady who was the first to attend to us was lacking (she took our order and finding herself without any paper to write our orders on, takes the set menu and uses that for her order taking, general interaction was very bland and uninterested to be of help). Alex on the other hand was excellent. His service language and manner could not have been faulted. Polite and very professional, and yet warm in his interaction with us. And of course, the views are amazing. Would recommend for special occasions.
So worth it, amazing quality food with amazing views:)
If you want an impressive view then this is the place. If you are after something else, this is not the place. Service was mixed, generally not attentive especially the head waiter. I asked for attention 2x and each time was waved dismissively and was passed to another staff. Two staff were more helpful. Food portions are tiny, they don’t tell you what’s part of brunch to share or as individual portions. Was served one slice of pizza, if we had not waved to ask, no one will offer. Pasta was a small portion to share between 2 adults in one plate. Nothing outstanding here.
We had the Father’s Day brunch with my friends. What a great food experience and amazing service!
Great dining experience.
A must go in Hong Kong!
Excellent view and environment, staffs helpful and friendly, great experience and we having a good time overall. My Last experience at Aqua which is 15 + years ago, you guys improved and surprise me. Keep your standard and improvement. I will definitely suggested Aqua to my friends and colleagues.
My third time at Aqua, the setting and view remain the strongest draw and no complaints here. Got a warm reception coming out of the elevators. Seating was prompt and we felt settled right away. Some issues after seating as no one came to check on us - at all. My friend and I were just chatting and didn't really mind but after about 10 minutes I realized no one had come to check on us and so I flagged down a server. They were courteous and friendly but seemed oblivious to fact we hadn't been helped yet and just asked if we were ready to order. It would have been much better if someone had come to explain the menu. We ordered the beef tartare which was excellent and came with a nice mix of seasoning and add ons which you mix in yourself. Also a fatty tuna roll which was good. For main course we ordered Wagyu which is grilled at the table and a pasta which was lovely. We were guided that the 4 dishes (2 starters and 2 mains) were about right for 2 people and this was exactly right. We did still leave room for the tiramisu which was good though not excellent in my view. Overall experience was positive although I felt we did not receive service on par with the overall standards of the restaurant.
the service, food and view were great.
however the background music can be lower for easier to chat.
Wines compared to other restaurants of the same stature are over priced. A better balance of wine pricing would be desirable.
Aircon is too cold,
Music is too loud and it got even louder after 9pm.
Definitely not enough manpower, staff are not attentive at all. Tried a few times to ask a waiter to take our order but failed. Some staff, i guess they are just part-time. They keep avoiding coming to us but they didnt try to ask someone else to take order for us. Of course we kept trying otherwise I don’t think we would have food to eat! I dont know if it’s because of covid or what, but covid has been going on for over a year already. Come on, a restaurant charging this price should be way better than this.
Im pretty sure that I have written “birthday celebration, would appreciate if there is a little cake.” However, the requested was being ignored. Extremely disappointing. Will never go back for a special occasion.
This is my first time having brunch at your restaurant as mostly I choose Hu Tong instead. As a fushion cuisine, thr courses are too small size for me but ok for my wife. I like the wine very much when having free flow. The environment is great. We like the harbour view so much. Thx a lot
Great view! 6:30 Reservation was perfect timing to see sunset skyline.
The venue is excellent and we could not fault the food. Free flow option provided good value for money. Will visit again.
Food is fabulous!
One of the servers was being difficult as I had ordered of the menu in advance and kept tellin me it's unavailable or they aren't able to do it. Returning back and saying it's possible.
It is quite pricy but worth it
We were excited to visit Aqua for our 1st anniversary as we'd heard good things. Maybe we shouldn't have had such high expectations. First the good: the restaurant is beautiful, as is the view. The ambiance is quite nice and the team reached out via whatsapp beforehand to ask if we needed anything. This was great because when I made the reservation (weeks in advance) I mentioned it was a special celebration and that we'd like a table by the windows. When they reached out I mentioned this again and they offered to give us a later reservation to accommodate this, which we appreciated.
The food was fine, not bad just not the best. We ordered a glass of wine with the intention to get a bottle, but wanted to taste it first. We did not get what we ordered. We didn't complain, but instead asked for a glass of what we ordered when we finished our first and mentioned it was not what we ordered. The waiter came back and started arguing with us. Now, we are WSET wine certified, we know the difference between a pinot grigio and sauvignon - it is pretty standard. I reckon maybe they ran out and figured we wouldn't know the difference, and when we did probably didn't want to admit their mistake. But as someone who has worked in hospitality, I would never argue with the customer and double down. All they had to do was apologize and it would've been that. Maybe even just bring out the bottle if they wanted to stick to their guns, instead of repeatedly coming back to assert their position. Made the meal very awkward, especially since we weren't really complaining. We just wanted a darn pinot grigio.
So either their pinot grigio is really crappy or their service is subpar. Also, I personally don't like to order the most expensive steak and have to cook it myself, but I know that's personal opinion.
I think for the hype and money, there are way better restaurants in Hong Kong that would be a better experience and value. But for the view and ambiance, give it a try.
food is good, but the service is really bad. Requested to reserve the window seats as that date is the anniversary with my wife, but they didn't do so and we saw there were several window seats available. We requested again to switch our seats, but the waitress just simply ignored us. Really not a good experience.
For the price of the sakura brunch, I felt I overpaid for what quality of food I received. The rice of the sushi was mush and taste was subpar. The risotto was inedible, no flavor and undercooked. The beef tonkatsu was was terrible, the quality of the meat was disappointing. It had no texture or flavor. The pan seared scallops were overcooked.
The dessert platter was underwhelming and truly did not help finish this meal on a high note. The guava cake was all mousse with no cake, the "signature ice cream" tasted far from cherry blossom, the tiramisu was mediocre. Honestly the best part was just the lemon sorbet and fruit tart.
I felt the overall experience was disappointing and also saw more bussers on the floor then servers. There were two gentlemen in suits walking around but no touching tables until we requested for the dessert to be served.
Overall this is my third time dining at aqua and I enjoyed returning due to the view, food and service. But this time returning, it was terrible and my friend is also an elite guest that dined frequently at Aqua. We both agreed we will not be returning and taking our brunch location elsewhere.
Amazing view. Food is good, but the view is iconic. If the location was different it would score lower
Breathtaking views but everything else was subpar. The food was decent but nothing amazing, especially when considering the price. Service was the worst- our server was unprofessional and lacked basic etiquette: we were constantly being rushed whilst eating, with our server giving us the dessert menu while we were beginning to eat our main course. Go if you want nice pictures but don't expect anything more than that.
Overall the lunch meal was great. But our seat constantly had water dripping on us. We changed seats once but it kept happening. Not sure if the staff noticed or not but it was quite annoying. Hope they can fix it soon. Overall still a great meal for our one year anniversary.
