Food Options were too basic and not enough healthy options
Right on the water which was nice. Made reservations online and choose "birthday" for the occasion- not sure why they ask because there was nothing extra and no mention of a birthday from staff. Menu online looked great. Menu we got was one page with about a quater of what was on the website. Food came out very fast :) but neither my burger nor fries were hot :( drinks were good.
Small portions. Good food and good service
Awesome overall.. wine pour was tiny though ...
Great food and casual atmosphere, service was low key and friendly.
Fantastic food and wonderful service 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a scenic place to enjoy good food and drinks. Andy is a fantastic waiter, extremely attentive and courteous.
The views here are awesome. Service was very friendly and the food was really good. Most importantly, they were dog friendly and so accommodating to our pup.
$44 for an ordinary piece of tuna...a lttle fishy...and waitstaff were all 20 something females half of whom had masks pulled down onto their necks.
Our waiter Andy was great. It was not his fault my fish sandwich was gray and greasy. My wife's burger was gritty.. Mc Donalds has them beat hands down. Their online menu is completely different from what they offer. Might be a good place to get a drink, but pass on the food.
Didn't actually order any food but the drinks were GREAT and the service was excellent !
Andy is a superstar!
Beautiful venue on the water. Friendly staff and great food.
Absolutely going back. I would say a hidden gem of Newport. Great view. Heated lamps. For a slow night the food did not disappoint. Server tonight was very personable and a delight to talk to about the menus and drink choices.
Watered down drinks. Waitress with bad attitude
Bacon is a piece of pig fat.........................
We were shocked by the prices and the food was average if that. It was not prepared well and came al la carte. My steak was $54 and was undercooked and my friends was $58 and was overcooked.
It’s crazy becomes the restaurant is not even very nice. We sat at a plastic table. The view was the only nice part. I could have had a fabulous dinner in Providence for a lot less and better quality.
Our server was great, food was a average at best. Location is perfect
The food is underwhelming at best. Everything needed salt. My carrots were barely cooked. And its ridiculously expensive for what you get. We had a reservation it’s tent dining.
You can't beat the views! @The Deck is right on a wharf and we were sat with a gorgeous ocean view. The food options were on the lighter/smaller side (sandwiches, soups, and just a few entree options) but my lobster roll was delicious. Our server, Jessica, was super attentive, friendly, and great to chat with. It was the perfect treat to get out of the house after quarantining with two young children for 4 months.
Was disappointed with the dinner. Not as good as it was in the past. My beef was tough, fries were bland, seafood over cooked. Won’t be going back.
The Deck is a wonderful place to eat on the water. Great view. The food and service are just ok. In my opinion, I feel like they could do a little better on both. But overall great place.
The scenery and ambiance were great but the food was not.
We took my husband for an early dinner for Father’s Day. It was a great experience with friendly/attentive staff, great food and a great view of the harbor. I would highly recommend dining here.
Very disappointed in our meals specifically penne ala vodka and mushroom ravioli. Tasteless. We used to always eat here and the food was amazing but not this time. Our server was not very attentive. Had to seek her out for service or ask someone else for help
We are a great server, however my chicken was raw and the food for all the other guests I was with was not good...at all. It was out first time at The Deck, we will NOT return.
They sat us under a permanent tent that was covered in mold with stuff spilled on it. They served us an appetizer that we shared but didn’t bring plates and the waitress never came back. We asked someone else to get our waitress and she still didn’t come. I had to go up to the bar (with my mask on) to ask for more water since the waitress disappeared. The food came out cold and not as described...etc. We will never go back.
Cute outdoor spot with a view of the marina. Exceptional service and good food!
Beware: open table menu IS NOT the actual menu. Do yourself a favor and look up the menu on their actual website. If you are looking for a casual hang out with a good atmosphere, this is a great spot. If you’re looking for more of an upscale restaurant as the posted menu would have you believe, then this is not the restaurant for you and you will be in for a surprise when you show up for your reservation, as we were. Overall great experience, just not the experience we had planned on for the evening.
Try out the buffalo sauce. However, avoid sa
We ordered scallops from the menu, it said there was cauliflower mash with it. When it arrived at the table, it was not. Waitress said they don’t sell it anymore. Then manager came out and said there was a tiny bit of mash on the plate - no there was not LOL!! Was just kinda weird lol. Manager gave us 25% off the meal! Service very very slow. Better options on the water in Newport.
Hello, we visited at the deck on Sunday night. We put down that it was for our anniversary and we were super excited because it seemed like you wanted to celebrate with us. We walked in and things seemed a bit disorganized but we were seated before our reservation at 6:30 which was nice. A man with blonde hair, came and we ordered water to start, and then literally no one came to us for 30 MINUTES I made eye contact with the dude multiple times, he had blonde hair classic surfer look and demeanor. He served all the tables around us that ordered alcohol off the bat, and seemed to be treating the other people great. 3 people who sat down after us got their food before we could even order. I then walked up to one of the bars where I aw a waitress hustling and asked for a manager. I believe her name was Catherine, se asked why, I explained it, and i saw her try to go grab one, instead she came back and said it was her fault, no one told her that was her table, and she is right, i watched her the entire night, because I was impressed with how she was hustling, and no waiter told her she had an extra table. So she completely owned it though surprisingly. It was super unneeded because it was not her fault. She offered to buy us drinks dessert and dinner and we said no to all of that.
Here's the reason why, this is why we were the mot upset. We saw a girl who was hustling, doing a great job, get wrongfully blamed, and she had to pay out of her own pocket, after.a manager refused to come over? That is insane, how the hell would we be able to say yes to that. That was honestly insulting. I believe her name is Catherine and she was an angel. She is the only thing that made our anniversary dinner sort of nice, and that's pretty sad.
HERE'S THE WORST PART!! After she completely took care of us, the dude came back and LAUGHED and said he completely forgot about us. So it was never Catherine's fault, this guy was just being rude it seemed like. We are not ones to leave bad yelp r
The good: outside, on the deck with great view of the harbor. The bad: limited menu, made even more limited because they were out of the first three (3!) choices we asked for. And what arrived was average at best. Service: okay, friendly, just inexperienced. Summary: Don't think of it as a restaurant with beverage services; think of it as a bar with a slightly better than bar fare menu.
Will not return there for dinner. Maybe just for cocktails.
The service was horrible, was told we had to order drinks apps and entrees all together and have everything “come out when it comes out” because they were to busy, waiter never checked on us and my entree came out 15 minutes before my friends, you Will never be back and will never recommend
Excellent service food and overall experience will definitely come back!
Ugh! Location was great! The server was sweet but very inexperienced, sold us on the surf and turf special without telling us it was $48 and the meat was way over cooked. Way over priced for the quality for sure!!!
Highly recommend this spot, food was excellent with portions that were just right (not too much but not too little) and staff was very attentive and the view is perfect. Never got cold since it’s set back in the harbor by the yacht club so wind is not an issue like at some beachfront restaurants. 5 stars across the board from us!
Great experience. Nice waitress
Outdoor dining was nice
This restaurant is a little bit away from the main dining and shopping area but still in the water giving it a more relaxed feel. The food was excellent and our waiter was professional and wore a mask making us feel comfortable with dining out. The drinks were delicious too. We would definitely return to @ The Deck when back in Newport.
Decent. College waitstaff
The entire staff at the deck was amazing! Everyone was so accommodating and friendly.
