Great place to taste high-end Mexican food
Excellent gourmet mexican food! I highly recommend this place although the tables are very small and cramped.
Great tasting food. Portions little small
La host nos atendió grave Muy mal La comida muy buena. Pero por la atención no se si regresaría
I book Atla to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. At the time of the booking only 11am was available but I wrote to the restaurant to enquire about a later table - received 2 messages and an email from opentable to confirm our attendance but the different timing was never mentioned. To my surprise, when we arrive on Sat morning the host confirmed that our table was not until 12pm! Annoying, as we could have done what we planed to do if the amendment would have been confirmed before hand. Anyway, no mention of the birthday whatsoever...
We are sat outside as per our request and look forward to trying the food! Service was poor, the waiter that took care of us seemed to be annoyed and the coffee we order first thing only arrived after the food was cleared. The food was good but did not blow our mind like expected.
Dessert was served, it was delicious. Sadly not even a little candle offered to celebrate the birthday! I guess we can't expect that from every restaurant but if they know you are there to celebrate a special occasion, does it take much to make it special? At Atla it clearly does!
Huevos rancheros, outstanding guacamole, incredible tacos pastor... fine food, first class cooking, amazing culinary experience
I have the great pleasure of being a frequent patron of ATLA since their early beginnings. I may have one bad service day, but I have never had a bad meal in the multiple times I go there for drinks or dinner. I especially enjoy sitting at the bar when my two favorite bartenders Felix and Javier are working. They are professional, courteous, and informative experts in Mezcals for me to taste and pair. This is truly one of my favorite restaurants in NYC.
This place was great! Authentic Mexican food. The guac is expensive but outstanding. The margaritas are terrific too. I got the pork belly taco, and it was delicious. Definitely recommend.
Great flavors, awesome ambience. Definitely will go in my next trip to NYC...
Amazing drinks - delicious food. Enchiladas were incredible.
Food was okay, not great. My mushroom dish had a fair amount of oil and the chicken I added was a super small amount. Service was great.
The service was very good but the food was disappointing. This was my second visit to Atla and I will not return.
My bean tamal was cold when delivered. The server had the dish redone, but really it was lacking in flavor and certainly not the quality that I and my dining companions expect from Olvera. The shrimp soup was awful . It was very “fishy”, I could smell it across the table.
The salad was ok.
I’ve eaten at Cosme and at Pujol. Atla is a poor relative to those restaurants- and not inexpensive.
Go for the scene or to sit outside snd people watch but... I was excited to try Alta based on reviews. And, yes, the food was good. I’m not a big meal person but portions, of what the waiter told us were the bigger meals, were tapas sized. Cocktails, chosen off the menu, truly weren’t worth drinking. There aren’t a ton of tables outside, it was not too busy, and we still had to flag the waiter multiple times to put in our order (after 45 minutes), then again to pay, and he never stopped by in between. This used to be my neighborhood and I love it but there are much better choices. Very disappointing
I took my girlfriends for lunch last Friday. It was their first time and I spoke so highly about you. Our server was curt, rude and really ruined the lunch. Our lunch reservation was at noon and we sat outside. I have been to your place so many times and have had not only excellent food but excellent service too. This woman should not be dealing with the public. Too bad for you.
Very nice atmosphere and the locale is perfect to commute to. The food was really good but for the portion size, a little pricey. I would and will visit again though.
Some dishes were excellent. Others were so so or incredibly salty. Very loud.
We love the appetizers and the guacamole was superb.
Fish option was very nice.
The frozen margarita ideal for a nice Saturday lunch.
Perfect place to enjoy upscale Mexican food in a casual and friendly atmosphere.
Very delicious guacamole, artichoke char with cheese innovative and a hit,sea bream perfectly cooked and seasoned, mushroom dish with added chicken very satisfying and flavorful,
Hostess and wait staff all very attentive. Our only complaint, music was too loud.
Love the food, their guacamole is outstanding! The skinny margarita is perfect, not too sweet as I like my cocktails. I've been to Atla many times and I've never been disappointed.
Overall, the food and service were great. I did feel somewhat rushed to leave though, and found the prices to be a little high for what was ordered.
Staff was knowledgable and kind. Food is amazing.
Unique dishes that are unlike anything else.
The food and the cocktails are great but portions are very small and it slays ends up being super pricey if you have two drinks for example.
Wonderful server, fantastic food.
El lugar no es muy espacioso pero muy agradable
El servicio es muy bueno y la comida riquisima!!
Voy siempre porque me encanta la comida mexicana y mejor si es de uno de los mejores chefs de Mexico Enrique Olvera!!!
Superior drinks and food. May be the best margarita I’ve ever had. Prices could be better, though. I don’t think you should have to pay $18 for really good guacamole.
Muy rico toda la comida, el servicio muy lento y sin duda overprice, una michelada o un carajillo 17usd ... como un capricho una vez pero no tiene sentido incluso si no lo pago de mi bolsillo.
Quality service :excellent, beautiful place . The only thing that could be improved is the menu adding more vegetarian options
Incredible service, terrific food, could not possibly have had a better experience!!!
Great Mexican food with an array of “aguas frescas”. Artíc Char Tostada was fantastic.
The staff was awesome. The food while a short menu was awesome. The drinks were off the hook
Really poor service - We has to flag down a waiter anytime we needed something, and to order. Even then the staff were short with us. Food was great, but won’t be going back.
Poor, inattentive service - We had to flag a server down every time we needed something.
Gustavo de bartender an de Sinaloa host were so so kind with us
I’ll happily return
Great food in casual setting. Food was excellent. Bartender made one of the best margaritas I have had in a long while.
Atla always a wonderful and delicious healthy Mexican cuisine choice.
The consistency of the dishes has changed since my handful of visits last year. The duck wings were mushy and drenched in sauce. On my last time they were so perfectly crispy we had to order a second. Typically you can order anything off that menu and it is always beyond delicious. This time, we had a lot of hit or misses - especially that corn pancake. The only thing that remains consistent are the beverages and the tortillas. Those are always absolute perfection.
Server was not hospitable. Did not make any eye contact while taking our orders, did not check up on us and asked if we were doing okay later as he was walking by. He was more attentive to the six top as oppose to his other tables. Food and beverages were very good !
The food was absolutely delicious and after reading about Daniela Soto-Innes, I had to try it. I enjoyed every bite and the highlights to me were the Cecina, Scallions & Nopal and the Cauliflower Taco Al Pastor. I also had the dessert tamle and highly recommend. My only reason for not giving this experience 5 stars, the price compared to the portion size. The Cali Taco Al Pastor, for example, was around $14 for a single, large taco. I would have preferred to see that prepared as 3 smaller tacos and think $12 would be sufficient...the tamle was amazing, but $14 and about 3 bites. Cocktails were wayyyy too expensive to try ($17, for a margarita, even!), which might be a side effect of the location, so I opted to try one of their juices.
Best red chilaquiles ever!
Cauliflower pastor taco is outstanding.
