    We visited Babylon yesterday for dinner (group of 4) and sadly, we were all very disappointed. The food was grossly overpriced, quantity was stingy and flavour was absent! We ordered the "Jersey cows tilba haloumi, green tomato jam, wild herb flowers" and it turned out to be one small rectangular slice of haloumi about 10cm x 4cm x 1cm for which we paid $29! The "pumpkin kebabs" were just 3 chunks of roasted pumpkin on a smear across the plate of muhammara for $24! This restaurant is definitely not good value for money. The ambience at the rooftop bar is lovely and would recommend getting a drink there and steering clear of the restaurant.

    Delicious food in a lovely setting - great variety and good vegetarian options. Bar area looks amazing but walk in only. Good banquet value as well!

    We've eaten at Babylon numerous times, taking friends and clients. Everyone has really enjoyed the experience. The food is exceptional and reasonably priced considering the quality.

    Food was delicious. Beautifully presented. Service was good. The old school retro hits playing throughput the restaurant ruined the middle eastern vibe the restaurant is about. It really was unsuitable and threw me off.

    Food is ok, the chicken and the hummus were both very good, but the lamb was overcooked. Service was really poor and that let's everything else down. Inattentive and disinterested on what was seemingly a quiet night. Also be aware they don't split the bill apparently so not really suitable for groups. There are better places in the city for that price point.

    A great night out. Had the premium platter which was a great choice between 4 of us. Such amazing food and wine. Service was good if not a little quick in bringing the courses at the begin and settled down from mains.

    Perfect place to enjoy dinner prior to heading to the State Theatre. We were able to secure a table for Saturday night at very short notice. The venue is large and the decor appealing. Food and wine were exquisite and well presented. The service was an absolute stand out. Staff were knowledgeable, attentive and communicated confidently without being overbearing. Even when a small request was not met, the staff member was accountable, sincerely apologised and service recovered extremely well.

    The food was good. My husband and I went there for dinner. However, the raw fish dish (Bonito) was huge and the fish was cut in thick slices which wasn't very nice and hard to eat. Not very delicate. The pumpkin dish was really good but again, way too big. The serving sizes only seemed to cater for larger groups and not just couples. Great wine list though. Staff were really nice but a little under trained.

    The ladies that greeted us and showed us to our table were welcoming and friendly. The food menu and wine list had variety and sophistication, we wouldn't fault a thing. However, the service was quite low for the establishment. Our table was often forgotten, where others had multiple courses eaten and cleared before our entrees were taken. We had to ask to clear out table, ask for the dessert menu, ask for more wine and ask for the bill. Not to mention the lady put the credit card machine on the table and walked away. Unfortunately a negative note on what would have been a perfect evening.

    Amazing food, everything was fresh and authentic. Highly rate the food. Staff are great as well, very accomodating and friendly. Just a shame there is nothing ‘middle eastern’ about the ambience. No traditional music or vibe, Very quiet.

    The service and food was outstanding! The only thing that wasn’t good was the tables are so close together, it’s hard to have a conversation, without the people on either side listening in. It was uncomfortably to close.

    I have never been to a restaurant where I had to ask to be moved , sitting next to a table of 15 screaming men , couldn’t even hear my own conversation ‘ food was infusion and all I could taste was coriander ‘ very happy I went to this place to see all the rave Never would go again but was great I did for experience not to go again .

    The range of mezz plates was nice and broad so it catered for palettes, young and old. The wait staff assisted in picking starters and mains, especially the quantities as we had a large group of us. The dishes came out nice and fast with good gaps between each one which allowed some digestion to take place and not feel bloated. The desserts were ;arge enough to be able to be shared so everyone had a chance to taste each delicacy. Well done Babylon, great night of feasting.

    Beautiful restaurant however even though the heaters were on it was very cold so we had to wear our jackets, At the end we were uncomfortable couldn’t have desert from being so cold so we left.

    The most fantastic meal with extraordinary flavours. It is clear that the chef understands flavours and the preparation of a meal. And it’s clear that he cares….Chef Rob. Excellent proactive and attentive service. I love the atmosphere as well. Definitely my #1 venue in Sydney.
