Bacco Italian and Wine Bar
Serving authentic Italian dishes with an extensive wine list in addition to a self-serve wine system allowing guests to sample a variety of wines.
Our story goes way back to the streets just outside of Naples, Italy. It is there that partners Gennaro and Ivano were infused with the skills for creative-yet-classic preparation and craftsmanship of a great Italian meal; and an overall experience that leaves you happy and content.
Join us for an exceptional dining experience reminiscent of the stylish eateries and wine bars of Italy.
Becca was our server and was spectacular. The Crab Bruschetta was very good - not a traditional bruschetta, more like crab dip on French bread, but I'll take it. We also had the Pollo al Funghi and Pollo al Limone which I wouldn't put in the "wow" category but it was good. With a bottle of wine the night was $120 with tip. Menu states can sub out for gluten free penne on a few meals, but would not categorize this as a celiac friendly restaurant. Great wine selection.
Try the Cacciucco or the Pollo al Limone. I have had both and really enjoyed them. Also the flatbreads and salads are very good. The service is always great.
Went for my birthday and got a really tasty free dessert! The crab bruschetta was out of this world and I order a ravioli dish (Santa Luna? I can’t remember exactly). Everything was so good. I’ll be back!
First time visiting Bacco’s. Pleasantly surprised. Our waitress Ali was the bees knees; informative and fun to chat with! Ambience was nice, a bit noisy on Wednesdays for 1/2 off bottles. Food was tasty. Portions were a good size. We will be back!
Mediocre food, Fancy atmosphere, Affordable. Food does not hold up its end of the bargain for the reputation bacco has.
Food is always excellent at Bacco. Waitress did a great job even though they were slammed with customers, with a wait line.
Food was amazing… the whole experience and vibe of this restaurant was great!! Will definitely be back
Really not a great time to be eating at Bacco's. Due to staff shortage (per the manager) service is very slow. Even with a reservation, server was 10 minutes to arrive at our table after being seated. Waited almost 30 minutes for bread to arrive (in the oven supposedly) and had to go get our own drinks at the bar after waiting 10-15 minutes for server to come take a drink order.
Usually BACCO is great, however, this experience was poor. W think the waiter forgot to submit our order to the kitchen. We didn't get our food until an hour after ordering. The food was served cold. The only reason I rated it a 3 instead of a 1 is because our previous experiences was much better.
Wednesday’s nights are bargain nights! We celebrated a birthday and the sparkler was the best thing ever! We had wine, a couple bottles, lots of appetizers. The food is delicious and Zach was very attentive
The food was served hot and tasty. Also they did accommodate us since I did change the reservation on line from 2 to 3 diners quite early and we did get a good table in the enclosed seating area outside. We did get seated for the happy hour appetizers and drink prices. When the first round of drinks came one of the wines was a very noticeable “ short “ pour compared to the 2 other wines! That was corrected when we noticed not our server! Our server Aaliyah H. was attentive in the beginning and then disappeared. Never came by asking if we wanted coffee or desserts. We received our bills on a piece of paper not in a black jacketed folder and 2 out of 3 bills were wrong. When she returned my bill was wrong again. I was not charged my happy hour drink price for my 2nd glass of wine, even though I did ask for it before the happy hour time was completed. She proceeded to tell me it was after the happy hour time frame. It wasn’t I checked my phone when I ordered and remembered so did the server. Lastly Instead of “ Thank you” written on the bottom of the bill, out of the 3 bills only I got “ Be Blessed 🙂”. Totally not appropriate, in my opinion and she repeatedly said it a few times after. Not an appropriate comment at an upscale restaurant. She then proceeds to brings the manager to the table which was unnecessary. I was not there to cause a scene, I just wanted to pay my bill and leave. It’s not the food it is the service.
Always a great time at Bacco’s never a good meal or service. The atmosphere is lively but you can have a conversation at your table. Highly recommend
Great service, food, and wine! This is one of my go to restaurants!
Menu had so many delicious sounding choices and food did not disappoint! Nice wine selection and excellent cocktails and the generous happy hour specials were a definite plus! Wait staff at prime dinner time was, like so many restaurants, very pressed but with a little patience on our part, Susan managed our orders and expectations quite well.
Was honestly disappointed for the first time. Selected standard seating was placed outside - it was very hot. It was busy and I expected a delay but even with that we weren’t able to get but one happy hour special - it took 30 min just to order a drink. The crispy Brussels sprouts were very little and lacked their normal flare, chicken parm was below average. I wish I had a raving review but you missed the mark today.
Our server was top notch even if I did forget his name. Kept checking on us, brought drinks promptly and was a overall pleasure to be served.
Food was good and portions were large. We've eaten here several times and never had a bad meal. Problem this evening was that their secure internet channel to their credit card processor went down. Waitress told us that the manager either wanted our credit card number and associated information or cash. Well, since the bill was over $200, who carries that much cash these days? I was reluctant to write down my credit card information plus name, address and phone number given all the identity theft going on today. So, I left my wife at the table and walked to the nearest ATM to withdraw the necessary cash. All in all, this took almost an extra 30 minutes to pay the bill plus the inconvenience of having to find and walk to a bank. No consideration from the restaurant - no complimentary drink , dessert, discount on the next visit, nothing! So, despite the fact that this is a good restaurant that we have frequented in the past, I have a negative feeling about the management and thus would be reluctant to visit again.
6 of us went to dinner & everyone was very happy with their food plus the apps we shared. There was a band playing (who were great!) so that’s why it was loud but between sets was a good noise level to be able to talk.
Our server Ally was exceptional… I especially liked that she brought my friend two samples of similar taste of a Muscato wine for her to sample. That was very thoughtful. Our food came out exceptionally well we had the Baratta and tomatoes , brussels sprouts, shrimp Gorgonzola, meatballs and polenta, and calamari. I enjoyed a delicious Sauvignon Blanc wine. It was crisp and clean and deliciously cold. Our server Ally was thoughtful friendly and experienced at her position. What a delightful evening it was tonight. A definite go to for their fabulous happy hour ! thank you
As always, Bacco's never disappoints. My favorite restaurant, the food is always delicious and the service is top notch. Last night (Wednesdays) was 1/2 price bottles of wine which is a great deal. We split the bruschetta and my friend got lobster ravioli and I got the fettucine zafferini - both have saffron cream sauce which is so delicious. Very light but still rich and the zafferini is loaded with seafood (scallops, shrimp and crab). We both loved our meals. Great place to go with friends or on a date night. Love this restaurant!
Had a lovely Sunday afternoon at Bacco. Receptionist was very pleasant as she seated us. Our waitress, wish I knew her name, Blonde and cute dimples with at very good personality was outstanding. Young man delivery food was so polite, friendly and very attentive to our needs. Our food was outstanding. Can't wait to come back again and try another wonderful dish. I will recommend Bacco to all my family and friends if they want really great food and great service. Thanks for a very Good Day!!
Great food, beautiful atmosphere, terrific service. Just an overall great experience. Glad we finally got there.
location and overall intro to restaurant good. Bartender did not know how to make the menu listed specialty cocktails; food was very average. Will visit again to verify this visit was an anomaly.
Bacco is one of our favorite spots. Perfect for a date night — reasonable prices and positively delicious
First time at Bacco's and we loved it. All the food was amazing and the service was great. We will definitely be back again.
My husband and I just moved to the area. We heard that Bacco was the top rated Italian around. Being an Italian from New York, I definitely am a harsh judge of Italian food anywhere I go. My husband, my mother in law and I were all so impressed by the food, the presentation, the ambiance and the service. James was fantastic! We will absolutely be back soon! Thank you so much!
It is strange, I never heard of this place until a friend recommended we try them. It might be the best Italian food in the area by far.
We tried the mushroom flatbread, crispy brussel sprouts, and arancini. All three were excellent, delicious, and reasonably priced.
For our entrees, we had the raviolone sofia loren, chicken parm, and risotto mignon. All three of these were fantastic. We came at the lunch period on a Sunday (until 4p), and even though these were half portions, they were not small by any means. And again, so reasonably priced ($10-18 for most lunch dishes).
The pitcher of sangria was of course great. The only bad mark of the meal was my lemoncello spritz didn't have as heavy lemon kick that I expected.
We ended by sharing dessert. We tried their sabayon, which my friends have never heard of before. They loved this as well.
We will be coming back for sure. Highly recommend.
Lovely alfresco dining experience. The pasta and crab cakes were amazing. So was the gimlet. Great job to all the staff who gave top notch service despite the stress restaurants are still experiencing right now. See you again soon!
Really nice place. Tasty food and attentive stuff. Will definitely be back.
Great food! We were lucky to sit outside and listen to the local music being played. We had close to a perfect dining experience!
We dined on a beautiful day and the place was packed. Our table in the outdoor terrace put us in the slow-service zone but once our waiter Zach showed up-after a helper brought water and menus, things sped up. The food and wine were outstanding and at a reasonable price. Two entrees, and appetizer, plus four glasses of very good wine came in at $88. Our dog loved the pup-friendly terrace. We'll be back.
Bacco’s is One of favorite restaurants. Consistently great food and great service.
Food was excellent and our server Lindsey was even better! One of our favorite places in Bel Air.
Mediocre food and lazy service
The first time we dined we lived it. This time, however, was subpar. Our waitress did not tell us there were specials. After we ordered, we heard another waitress tell the table next to us. Plus, there was no drink follow up. My dish was barely warm, but my husband’s was just right. $70 meal that was subpar is not worth it.
The food was amazing and the service was amazing also!
Food was outstanding.
Mussels were awesome !!
Fine good waiter
Food was great but bar -area was extremely noisy.
Ali was the best server I have had in a long time. Food was a bit pricey, but delicious. I will be back next time I am in the area.
