Unbelievable! We seriously had such a great time for our date at this restaurant. We had been recommended it a few times, and we finally made it a priority to go. SOOOOO WORTH IT! Phenomenal food. Great service. Plenty of options. Seriously was the best date night. Thank you so much Baran Squad!

Definitely the best food and service in Hermosa! The chef is creative and accommodating to those with food allergies without sacrificing flavor. Excellent wines. The staff is beautiful, friendly and very efficient. They even make the effort to remember what you have had before and ask about the children when they don’t join us. Worth the drive if your not from the area.

Fairly good food and really excellent service. We had the steak tartare, shrimp, ceviche, and Brussel sprouts. All were good, and the shrimp and Brussel sprouts were excellent. Very reasonable pricing, convenient parking in a mini-mall.

It was the first time my friend and I went as a belated birthday dinner. The staff was pleasant and so helpful in their recommendations. The food is all made in house and not to mention PHENOMENAL!! We also really like the ambiance of the place. We cannot wait to go back.

great place! food is tasty yet not stuffy. a little nosy but not terrible. smaller place so be ready for your neighbor to be close but its manageable. a few seats at the bar and the communal table are great spots.

This was our second visit to Baran’s 2239. We heard about it from friends and though we are not near the South Bay (DTLA and Huntington Beach), it is worth the trip. The family that runs it is on top of everything, making you feel welcome from the minute you enter, and looking out for you throughout the meal. The beer and wine selections are diverse and great. But it is the food that really stars. We haven’t had a bad dish yet. This time we tried the signature Indian Egg, and it was as delicious and unique as we had heard. The ceviche and shrimp tostada also really stood out. We took friends there this time, and the dishes were great for sharing. Barans is now one of my favorite restaurants, and though it’s a bit of a trek for me, I’ll be back. That’s saying something!

there is nothing but good things to say about Baran’s, from the food to the service. Nestled in an unassuming strip mall between a smoke shop and a kebab restaurant, the menu items are cooked and presented like you would only find from top chefs in 5 star restaurants. The restaurant is owned and run by two brothers, and they will both come to your table and make sure all is good. Our first meal was so great, I was almost afraid the second wouldn’t compare. I was wrong. The shrimp avocado tostada is topped with the restaurants own version of a pico de gallo which I will keep trying to replicate. The crispy seabass over some sort of plantain is not like anything I’ve had before, but I will keep ordering it. The filet, was cooked perfectly and mouthwateringly good. The chicken, equally tasty and delicious. We will be coming back again and again to this neighborhood spot; for birthdays, special occasions or any excuse just to get the buttery bundt cake for dessert.

Went to Baran’s to celebrate a friends birthday on a Sunday evening at 7. Dinner was great but it was difficult to have a conversation as it was very noisy. We enjoyed all of the dishes we ordered to share and the waiter was helpful and attentive. Starting with the the house Foccacia and charcuterie board - we chose prosciutto and olives, we moved on to a delicious shaved Brussels Sprout salad and the mushroom tortellini, both are not to be missed. We also had the Shrimp Stuffed Tostada and the King Fish Ceviche. As other tables cleared, the noise level dropped and it was quite pleasant. Parking is difficult as it’s a small lot that services a few businesses so plan accordingly.

This was our first time to Baran’s 2239, and we were extremely impressed. The menu was very well put together, and we loved every single dish we ordered. The only disappointment we had was that it took us so long to finally try it! Best food in the South Bay!

Quite pricey, but you really do get what you pay for. The food was delicious and tasted fresh. Would highly recommend the gnocchi with crab meat and the Mexican chocolate dessert with mini churros.

From the moment you arrive, You can sense the customer service. We were a party of 4, with a food allergy. Barrans exceeded expectations. They created a menu with modifications, the food was scrumptious. Add the Impressive wine and beer offerings, and a staff that is excellent. This is a place to enjoy.

Delicious seasonal salad, Brussels sprouts, and “Indian egg”. Great service. Not a fan of the layout—one large room with no dividers. But the food was quite good.

We enjoyed the cuisine tremendously. The wines are a little bit overpriced for the selections. Corkage is pricey too. If we come for the food and drink somewhere else, that would be ok.
The food is really good and the service was impeccable! Overall I would recommend and come back!

Creatively wonderful menu. I loved all the spices in the food lwe ate. We were most wowed by the curry Brussels sprouts, steak poke and Unami butter that you get when you order their deliciously crusty and tasty focaccia bread. We went for my hubs birthday and brought our 9year old. She’s usually experimental and doesn’t eat typical chicken fingers etc from kids menus. She devoured the shrimp tostada by herself and loved it!

we went to have an evening out. We sampled several menu options and all of them were good. The pork chop was moist and flavorful, not dry like so many are. We had to rush home so no dessert. Be aware they only have beer and wine.
