Baja Fish Tacos
Pan-seared cod over a bed of Southwestern coleslaw, topped with pico de gallo and chipotle aioli. Served with charro beans topped with cheese
We are famous for our wings! Made to order and tossed with your choice of tequila-cilantro, medium spicy-cayenne or wicked hot habanero sauce. Served with large buttermilk ranch or blue cheese with fresh carrots
Spinach & Artichoke Dip
We make the best ever, hands down! Won't tell you what's in it outside of the two clues in the name. Served with tortilla chips
We ate here on the eve of my fiancé going wedding dress shopping. This was the site of our first date and I proposed to her under the gazebo here. We set up a 7:00 appointment and we’re seated promptly. Unfortunately it was almost 15 minutes before our server even came to greet us. We ordered drinks and appetizer right off the start. The server had no idea what size beers they offer. We waited a while before we saw her again. We ordered food. Almost 30 minutes after that we inquired about our appetizer after having to flag her down. Forgot to put appetizer in and then informed us that the food was almost out and she could put it in. We declined. Only saw her 2 more times after that. All we got was a giggle and “oops. Sorry.” Very disappointing. The beers here are SO good and food is great, but service is lacking greatly.
Dropping off at Phoenix Mesa Airport, looking to have a bite before drop off. It was exactly what we wanted. A leisurely lunch. We had pretzel bites with pub cheese for an appetizer. Entrees were Baja tacos, quesadillas and a panini. All were very tasty. Beer selection was nice. Sampled before ordering. All found either an IPA or lager that fit our palette. Will use this location instead of cell phone lot for future pick ups. Walk or drive to airport requires 5 min. Allows for reservations if wish.
Forgot the appetizers, slow service.
Good food and good beers. The rueben was great
I made a reservation, showed up at the time of my reservation and there was no one at the hostess stand. There was a guy with his kids waiting to be helped, and another larger family that was waiting to be seated. After standing at the hostess stand for about 10 minutes with no one so much as looking over there to see if anyone needed help, my wife walked over to an employee by the bar and said that there were people waiting to be helped at the hostess stand. She was told it would probably be an hour before anyone would come over to help us at the hostess stand. Mind you, I saw at least 4 tables available as we were waiting. Shortly after my wife came back over to the hostess stand to tell me what the employee had told her, another employee came to the hostess stand and took names of the people who were waiting. When I told her that we had a reservation for 15 minutes ago she told me that she might be able to get me and my family seated a little sooner, but still did not have a timeframe. After waiting another five or so minutes we decided to leave and go somewhere else.
Excellent food and beer. Nice location next to the Mesa-Gateway Airport.
The Pulled Pork sandwich and French Dip are my favorites here!
They didn’t have some of the appetizers on the menu available. Food portions were also small. Overall it was fine and enjoyable to look at the planes.
Our waitress was funny & on point the whole time. Hostess seemed a bit bored & could use a dose of personality, but maybe she was having an off day. We’ll be back.
First time here, it was a neat little place tucked away near the Mesa Gateway airport where you’re dining essentially just outside the tarmac. The service was good for the most part. Food was good, but nothing to rave about. The spinach dip came out cold - twice. We finally just asked for a to-go container and will enjoy it tomorrow for a snack. Wings, tacos and sliders were enjoyed by our group. We will go back again and would recommend it for a casual dinner.
Avoid seating that has a couch, your chin will be table height. Great for shoveling food down the gullet, but not so much with a date.
We liked it especially the wings and beer flight special
First Time and Loved It!! We will be back! Cant wait to sit Outside ! Great for Families! Love the Happy Hour!
Very cool to watch the planes takeoff & land at Gateway Airport!
Noisy but I like it there
Great appetizers, fantastic onion rings good drinks
Great Burgers, beer fries and Beer choices!
Food was Great! Kind of noisy but okay! Great place to take our 2 grandkids. Service was okay mainly due to our waitress being kept busy by a lot of customers. Would definitely do it again!!!
Made reservations at 6pm. Seated at 6:30 after the group that arrived before us without reservations. Hostess argued with me that I reserved for a party of 5 not 4 and that’s why it took so long. I told her 4 when I checked in and showed her 4 on my Opentable confirmation. Was really annoying. She then complained that they had a party of 50 come in. Never saw a large party. Service was extremely slow. Didn’t receive our food until an hour after we ordered. Seemed like
there were only 2 wait staff on a busy Saturday
night. Our waiter was very nice but overwhelmed. The food was extremely good. I had the California burger. I asked for no
onions on my burger and got a stack of them. The restaurant is very loud so be prepared if you want to have a conversation with anyone at the table.
May give them a second chance:
+Seated where we requested and promptly
-Spinach dip changed from awesome to mediocre
-Out of Barrio Rojo for the 3rd time in the last 3 visits. All on weekends
-Kind of loud for being 2/3rds full
Had a very good experience at the Barrio. The waitress was very helpful with suggestions and always there when we needed her.
This is a perfect restaurant before a flight from Mesa. Great food and fast service. A good selection of IPA
Food was great, service was friendly. Atmosphere was very casual and the noise level was loud.
Food and service were absolutely wonderful. Do yourself a favor and get the onion rings.
Food and beers was great but place is noisy and young kids crying and being load.
Its so hard. The food is amazing and the staff is nice but the service SUCKS! This place could be so busy but the service is seriously one of the worst. Do not go if you don’t have much time.
The food was good and the service has been great every time!
We regularly go to Barrio after our trail runs on Saturday morning and we hold a bi weekly group run. The service has always be top notch and the food is always delicious. But of course the beer always keeps us coming back. Plus you get s bonus of seeing some pretty awesome planes as well.
We use Arizona Restaurant Week to scout out new restaurants. Since BBC was new to us, we decided to check it out. Service was great, food was great, staff was great. The only thing that was annoying was the fact that they were out of several things: fish for the advertised fish tacos, the advertised cheesecake, and vanilla ice cream for Brownie a la Mode, which was the ONE remaining dessert. The cheesecake....I totally understand. Lots of ingredients and it needs to be baked, cooled, then chilled. But when you have ONE dessert left to offer, how do you run out of a key part like vanilla ice cream? 😳 And not having fish for fish tacos? In ARIZONA? 😳 seriously? Send someone to the local grocery store! Poor planning! Or waiter was great, and was very apologetic.......but it certainly wasn’t HIS fault.
We visited for Restaurant Week. OMG ... Spinach dip app was GREAT. Homemade tortilla chips were over the top! Hubby said his fish tacos were WONDERFUL ... and I say the same about my Cal Burger (perfectly med rare! YES!!) ... no room for dessert, so we took the cheesecake home with us along with our half-eaten entrees. The cheesecake was not only generous, but creamy and sooooo delicious with the raspberry ale sauce!
We'll be back! It was very busy as there was a graduation party going on ... so maybe a little bit short on staff, maybe.
Dieing to go for breakfast some nice Saturday morning when we might catch some flights going out! :-)
Restaurant week tastings! Burger was very good. Spinach and artichoke dip was solid. Buffalo wings had the right flavor but if they had been thrown on the grill to crisp up more they would have been over the top fantastic. Cheesecake was pretty good but the brownie was just sad! Never serve a brownie sundae with a cold brownie 👎🏼
While they have a large selection of interesting brews....the flavors of them are very lacking.
Good night with friends, but there’s too many other amazing options for me to give this place another try
The food was very good. we will definitely be going back here. Excellent quality for the value.
Delicious beer. Great hearty burger! Helpful server.
I marked the noise level as loud because we sat outside and watched the planes. Food and service was great. Enjoyed the AZ restaurant week special. Will definitely be back.
This was our first visit to Barrio Brewing Co. The menu has a nice selection and the prices are very reasonable. The food was good and our server, Ashley, was great. My main complaint was with the speed of service. It took us two long hours for this meal. The chips and salsa appetizer took forever to come out. The meals took forever to come out. Not sure what was going on in the kitchen, but the dining room was not busy at all on this Sunday night.
Service very slow to nonexistent from inept staff.
Amazing food and drinks . They have a fantastic atmosphere as well.
The food was okay, the wait time to be seated nonexistent, the waitress MIA (I still generously tipped 25%), the wait for our food to arrive was excessive, too... but, being able to watch the planes come and go and the beautiful mountains in the background coupled with the fact that we could eat peacefully knowing the airport was right there and we didn't have to worry about traffic made it all worthwhile. We arrived at 11:30 and didn't get out of there until 1:15. The tables were 75% empty. I'm not sure what the problem was.
Good food and view of all the planes is great for adults and kids
The food is good. However this service seems to be slow. If you’re not in a hurry it’s a good place to eat.
