You no longer have to go Venice to experience an authentic wine bar, as Barrique Venice is ready to serve you. The wine cellar at this place is worthy of the admiration of the most avid of collectors, and the finger foods pair well with your favorite red or white bottle.
Barrique Venice is a great place to go out with the girlfriends, enjoy some nice music and great conversation, all with impeccable service. The soft meat, vegetable and cheese platters are always a hit as well, and are expertly prepared at Barrique Venice. The next time you're out in Venice, head on over for a fantastic time.
Food was good, not excellent. Although meat and pasta dishes were delicious. Wine was nice. Octopus appetizer was eh. Dessert was not good, but we didn’t take servers suggestion on dessert. Service was great, cute cozy restaurant but on a busy street. Wouldn’t go back bc it’s pretty pricey, loud and the food didn’t wow us.
Amazing food and service in an LA unique romantic atmosphere. Perfect!
We enjoyed a great dinner at Barrique. The restaurant is small so tight seating should be anticipated but the great food and service more than make up for this. We’ll be going back.
Finding an authentic Italian restaurant outside of Italy is a challenge. SF has just 2 great ones and this one is a big deal. The primi were exceptional, my only quibble being it would have been great to have one more pasta on the menu. The fillet was maybe the best I’ve had in years, made fiorentino style. Ditto for the grilled octopus and the panna cotta. Having an all Italian serving staff makes it all the more authentic
Always a great time here! The food never disappoints. I just need to remember to make a reservation, so I am guaranteed a spot!
Everyone that works here is outstanding. From the hosts to the somolier to the serving staff - everyone was warm and attentive, but no too attentive. The food was fresh, and and very single meal ordered was delicious. Highly recommend the beet pasta with the quail ragú.
Love this place!
Barrique was a great food experience. Autentic and yet original italian restaurant at the time.
Hands down one of the best Italians in the city
Food was surprising only so so compared to the great reviews it gets.
Made my entire week special.
Wonderful food and atmosphere. The service was excellent. We sat outside on the balcony which was very nice.
Amazing birthday dinner for my husband here. They offer awesome wines by the glass, the setting is romantic and relaxing, and the food is truly incredible. We’ve raved about it ever since. I can’t wait to go back.
Best pasta I have had in United States in a long time.
Always delicious! Never fails.
Outstanding from start to finish. Impeccable service, great relaxed atmosphere, delicious cuisine. Total win win!
Went here for my brother's birthday dinner with our parents and some friends. Between everyone in our group we probably tried one of everything on the menu. Everything was exquisite! The octopus melted in your mouth, the burrata was extremely fresh, all of the pastas were delicious, and the meat was cooked perfectly. The alcohol is beer and wine only but we were very pleased with the wine that our waiter recommended. Would absolutely recommend this restaurant.
NEVER HAD A BAD MEAL THERE. WE EAT OUTSIDE FOR THE QUITE. ONE OF OUR BEST PLACES WE GO TO. NOT CHEAP BUT WORTH EVERY PENNY.
Excellent food and service. Wine recommendations were spot on with the food that was selected.
Pasta was amazing. Great date night!
Best pasta I’ve ever had in my life. Owner is exceptional and very welcoming
Not enough superlatives to describe how fantastic this place is. Great atmosphere, great food, great wine list. Definitely going back.
Food and service exceptional.
Just outstanding. I took my husband here for his birthday, and the service was just impeccable. We came in early for a six o'clock reservation, and the place felt like it was just ours for most of the meal. Two men who I seemed like they were clearly the owners helped us pick our appetizers from the specials and a nice bottle of wine. We started with the carpaccio and the freshest scallops with shaved black truffles, and then a filet that was cooked to such utter perfection that I think it is truly the best fillet I have ever had.
Such a cozy atmosphere as well. A small place, with a warmth and genuineness to it, with owners who clearly and deeply care about the quality of the entire experience - from the food to the service. And what is also nice, is that the entrees are not all $40, $50 or more, which they would be justified charging. Not that it is not expensive to eat here, but to two foodies who eat out often - there's a big difference between the mid-$20 prices to mid-$30 prices for a really gorgeous entree, versus the uncharging that so many fine restaurants do because they so easily can. Especially in this area.
Each dish we had was original and delicious. The service was helpful, unpretentious and attentive. The ambience was romantic and warm. One of our favorite meals in LA.
Food was very good -- choices were varied and just the right amount. Both apps and entrés were ample and perfectly cooked. Wine was a bit pricey by the glass, but good selection. Service was very pleasant, knowledgable, attentive (without being crying or annoying) and overall a strong read to enjoy Barrique.
Delicious food, great wine list, cozy atmosphere
Food and ambiance reminds me of Italy. Excellent wine list. Everything we ordered was cooked perfectly. Service was awesome.
Barrique is a pleasant surprise. I was looking for a last minute place for an intimate dinner with friends who were visiting from upstate NY. The two-story, yellow building nestled in the trees had a certain charm that drew me to it. My love for good Italian food and wine also piqued my interests. So I decided to take a chance. I am so happy I did.
Our table had two bottles of the George Ceremonial Pinot Noir 2014, suggested by our waiter, and it was one of the best I've experienced in recent memory. We ordered the tuna tartar and the burrata/prosciutto for starters and both were excellent tasting. One of my friends and I both had the signature Tagliolini Rossi, and I have to say I was incredibly surprised by its flavor. My partner had the wild boar ragu(which he loved) and our other friend had the special veal ravioli(also good, but the Tagliolini sort of stole the show). The food and wine are the top reasons to visit Barrique.
The interior is dark and candle lit, with a small outside patio on the upper level with a few tables. It is an intimate venue that reminds me of my best experiences while traveling abroad in Tuscany. The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and added to the overall joy of the evening. Ending with a chocolate mousse, we all recognized we had just had a special meal.
excellent Italian food and cozy ambiance. Homemade pasta and interesting sauce combinations .Customer service friendly, Italian and genuine. very good wine! Locals favorite.
The food was amazing but our waiter, Michael made the experience great. He was personable, made a great food and wine recommendations and his friendly yet professional banter was much appreciated. We’ll definitely go again!
Excellent service and incredible food.
What a lovely night at Barrique. Definitely a bit fancy for an everyday option, but well worth it for a special occasion or to bring someone from out of town. Would definitely go back if I’m town again.
The BEST! It's our favorite local spot. Always a great vibe, service and food is off the charts. And, the wine selection is confusing- too many great ones to choose from! So great!
Good food and great service. Had a great time.
Very romantic and lovely atmosphere - service was attentive and food was great! Highly recommended!!
Amazing meal and service. Looking forward to the next visit!
Wonderful place wonderful people
Great service and food. Loved their fresh bread and 3 layer dessert.
