Barton G. The Restaurant - Miami Beach
Everything we ordered was amazing except the salmon entree it was just ok.
Production is over the top which makes it fun!
Service was great and really enjoyed my experience
Exceptional service. Wait staff is knowledgeable and extremely friendly.
As always a fun and interactive experience worth spending extra for!
This was absolutely one of the best experiences of a restaurant on South Beach we have experienced. The food was extremely good, service was impeccable and the total experience is something everyone should experience for a special occasion.
Enjoyed the novel presentation of the food and drink. The deserts were outrageous!
Very creative presentation. Food was good but the prices were over the top! A plain old Dirty Martini for $27, $40 for dessert! That’s just ridiculous. It’s a one shot restaurant for me. $144 for one person and I only had one drink and no dessert! It was unique but I would not go back with those prices
It’s all about presentation but the food quality was average and very very expensive for what you get. They also did not bring out one of the side dishes I had ordered.
Amazing service and food!!!
Went here out of town for my daughters 12th birthday and she enjoyed every second of it especially the birthday cotton candy head I would recommend this restaurant to any whom it was nice
Barton G. provides unique experience in dining with absolutely delicious food and exceptional meal presentation.
My family loves this place and we come here every time we visit Miami.
Great place that is definitely worth a drive. The food is displayed very creatively and you'll want to take some pictures to show your friends. Even though most people go to Barton G's for the presentation I was really impressed by the food. Everything was delicious. Also, our waitress was excellent and very attentive. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a group because it is so fun to see how each dish is presented. There was a group sitting near us and I think they had a special menu prepared for them. We saw several kids in the restaurant too so that's no problem.
Overpriced and overrated. The presentations are great and entertaining, but my $48 sea bass dinner was disappointing. The description sounded like it came in parchment. It came out in a brown paper bag, which the server cut off the top with a flourish. Eating the fish out of the bag with soggy vegetables underneath in the bag not fun. The carrots, asparagus, and potatoes came in a small pail and were undercooked. Most desserts start at $25, big enough to share, but still pricey. On top of that, valet parking was $17.
Barton G is definitely an experience not to be missed. Seriously, if you want to impress someone or have a special occasion to celebrate this is the place to go. Everything from the staff to the food was outstanding. We will definitely return!
Barton G's never disappoints. The food always amazing, the service top notch. The food presentation is to die for. Highly recommend.
A great place for my birthday dinner
It was my Birthday and me and my family had an amazing time
Too expensive really! Nice presentations but not for so much money.
Awesome and fim experience
Fun experience and great food presentation, but it is pricey! Definitely a special occasion type of restaurant. Better with 6-8+ People. Desserts are meant to be shared :)
Excellent food and a great place to have a dinner!
Barton G is a super fun restaurant to celebrate a special occasion! The food is larger than life and it’s fun to see what other tables are ordering as well. The outside dining area is really beautiful and romantic. The food and drinks are very overpriced, but you are paying for the experience of it. Was disappointed that they no longer give you your bill in an envelope that says “the damage” but have you pay on an iPad. Also disappointing that 18% tip is automatically included, even though our service was not great.
Not what I was expecting.. food isn’t that great
Fun as a novelty place but the prices are not justified. $40 for an overly heavy desert. They also took the displays which were the best part off the table right away. The waiter was nice and environment pleasant but prices ridiculous
Fun food presentation! Very expensive. Did not like the chocolate desert but the rest of the food was good ,
Grear place to come when in Miami
We enjoyed a very entertaining evening with some amazing dishes presented in a very creative way. There was a great variety of options which we all shared. The portions were significant and each dish was a different experience. We only had a few drinks which were also provided in an unusual way. I would return but likely would order a few less items. The price tag was a little high although we did order a few pricey dishes including the Tomahawk Surf and Turf for two which was the normal price for a typical total meal for 5. The service was absolutely excellent and definitely enhanced the experience which is critical at such a restaurant.
Where to begin? Michael G, our server, was awesome. Knowledgeable, friendly, kind, witty. However, he and others helping him, actually stacked plates in front of us and on the table. They all meant well, but certainly in a restaurant of this caliber, they need different training. On that note, our awesome server was forced to bring us a credit card tablet to the table for payment after our meal. How tacky is that?! We were a small party of 4, and two of them were children, so with a bill of over $600.00, you’d think they could at least take the credit card away, and handle it all away from us, then allow us to tip and sign and go at our leisure. In stead, the waiter had to walk us through a 5 minute exercise on how to use the tablet, add additional tips for the assistants or not, etc. rough way to end what was to be a nice expensive meal!!! That leads me to the food. Fun, creative presentations. Loved it! The flavor, the steaks...simply heavenly! The $30 cocktails? Not so much! Tasted like a $6 cocktail to me, and less hoopla would have been appreciated too. Speaking of which, there should be table cloths covering the beat up wooden tables in s restaurant if such quality AND turn down the horrible music, please. It only makes the other large parties yell louder to hear themselves over it. Again. There should be a finer ambiance in such an establishment.
Food quality is not as good as before. I bring guest to this restaurant about 3 or 4 times a year and over time the quality is definitely declining. But our server was fantastic
Service wasn’t great. Presentation was nice however it was over priced and the food wasn’t great.
Very overpriced, food was nothing special. Extremely loud and almost every table had children.
The write-up on Open Table could not be more misleading. Emphasizes Business Casual & makes it sound like fine dining.. in reality more like a Disney Cruise. The food so so. My dining partner ordered the veal chop& gave me a bite. It’s so dark we didn’t see it was a junk of fat. The place is all gimmicks. The tuna tartar served on a slab with a huge sword and you can’t get at the food. Something is served on an old fashioned push lawnmower put down in the middle of the table . The sea bass was okay but the vegetables were served in a tin pail and there was no way to get them to cut them. The grits were watery. We had two drinks, two glasses of rose’, shared appetizer, veal chop & sea bass.. over $300. Oh yeah 18% automatically added. !!! We arrived at 7:00.. all our food out by 7:20. We should have waited to order. Then we sat for at least a half hour after we finished before a dessert menu or anyone we could ask for a check showed up.
Food was amazing. The presentation of the food was a unique and memorable experience. Carlos was a stellar server
Nice location. Very pricey for quality/taste of food. Fun playful oversized plate decorations which makes it fun for celebrations. Otherwise way too expensive.
Aside from being sat 40 minutes after our appointment it was as we had expected/anticipated.
It’s a lot of Snapchat and instagram moments. The food is outrageously presented and tastes fair. We had several different items and shared.
The price is what you’d expect I just think the seating/valet/front of the house could be drastically improved.
For me it’s a special occasion place although if it were a little more streamlined I could see myself going more often.
Although the pricing is extreme - the experience is worth it for one night - the food preparation and presentation were exceptional!!!
Unique experience, due to the food and drink presentations! Cocktails served with dry ice that bubbles and smokes, lobster "pop tart" appetizers came in a 50's toaster, etc. Beautiful outdoor seating. Food was delicious, not just plated interestingly. Petite filet was cooked perfectly. Wait staff friendly and attentive. A bit pricey, but for a unique special occasion, well worth it.
Really good food and great presentation! Fun photo taking opportunity!
