The roots of Mario Bazán Cellars go back to 1973 when Mario immigrated to the Napa Valley from his native Oaxaca, Mexico. When Mario arrived in the Napa Valley, he was immediately charmed by its beauty and energized by the vigorous wine-growing atmosphere he observed. He continued to hone his skills over the next four decades as he advanced step-by-step from a general laborer to grape grower. Today, Mario has his own estate vineyard and highly regarded vineyard management company farming several hundred acres throughout Napa and Sonoma Valleys.

Had an amazing tasting at Bazan! We loved the back story of winery owners. Wines were amazing, service was fantastic. This is the second time I visit tasting room and I will continue to recommend and visit when I visit Napa. Just to add to amazing service, the presentation was in Spanish!

Amazing staff, super friendly and attentive. Wines were awesome. I was skeptical as few had heard of this winery, but our group was not disappointed. Got a few bottles to go! Recommend you check it out.

The host at Bazan was amazing. He was engaging, fun, helpful and knowledgeable. We enjoyed the story of the winery and the owner/family. I would definitely recommend a stop at Bazan while you are in the area.

We had a great time at Bazan Cellars! I had never been there and never heard of the place…. I was planning a casual day date for my husband and I’s anniversary. Walking down Main Street I was thinking “oh man, this is a way down the street…” and as we got closer the streets became less populated. I was a bit worried, but that worry was very short lived! We sat outside for our traditional tasting that was paired perfectly with little treats. All the wines we tasted were very good and we enjoyed a glass of the Rama Cab after. We had the pleasure of meeting Gloria, the owners wife, and got the whole history and story behind the wine. It was an intimate and fun experience! Would suggest for anyone!

Food was just small tasting bites for the the stars of the show, the wines. Spectacular Cabs and Pinots. Always a great experience. Tasting room manager was great but missed Gloria and Mario’s Company this time.

Everything was amazing. We had a few first time wine tasters and we were taught how to taste the wine. Not to mention the knowledge of the server! She was amazing! It was overall an amazing time.

Wine was amazing. The pinot noir is probably the best I've ever had which doesn't say much as I'm not a huge wine drinker. My wife on the other hand loves pinot's and after tasting it, immediately said she had to purchase a bottle. The story of how Mario Bazan came to prominence was both intriguing and eye opening.

Absolutely loved Bazan Cellars! The host was so hospitable and informative of Mario’s story and the region overall. Mario’s wife, Gloria, stopped by and was so kind and down to earth. We just had to join their wine club! Salud!

We just cannot say enough positive things about this awesome place. We dined and tasted on a beautiful Saturday night outside. The hostess is a fun energetic and so helpful and friendly. We got to meet the owners and even the chocolatier who has her very pretty and tasty served to experience a change in the taste of one of the wines and have available to purchase here. The single guy guitarist/singer was fantastic. Their story and the wine is exceptional. The food served by the restaurant across the street was outstanding. We really enjoyed our entire evening to the fullest and would highly recommend your spending a good time there too. When we are back in Napa, this will be at the top of our list to revisit, as well as continuing to have their Pinot Noir shipped to us in Nebraska.

Bazan Cellars was amazing. The owner was our host and we enjoyed learning about the journey they went on to create the vineyard. The wine is amazing as well. Definitely one of the top vineyards that we visited while in Napa!

Gloria (owner& wine maker) is very knowledgeable and a marvelous host. She made us feel comfortable even for our amateurish outlook. Will definitely visit here again. Excellent cabs and generous pours unlike other tastings. Good for couples and group of friends. Family and pet friendly as well. Excellent outdoor seating option during COVID pandemic restrictions.

The woman who greeted us sat us down at a table right away and gave us a nice little snack plate, which was a cute unexpected surprise. The only downside is that not every table can feel the space heaters and ours happened to be on the colder side. However, as soon as one opened up the by the heaters she moved us over there and offered me a blanket. The wine flight I tried was lovely and not too pricey.

Incredible service from LeAnne. She was very friendly, personable, and knowledgeable about Bazan's wine and winemaker's history. She was lovely to speak to and provided our best tasting of the weekend in downtown Napa. If you're looking for a place that isn't a 'scene' and knows about good wine, try Bazan. We were disappointed by other tasting rooms who had servers who weren't as knowledgeable about the wine they were pouring. Would 100% recommend.
