Have been multiple times to this place for drinks but not for a sit down meal.

Atmosphere: We sat in the den and love the vibe there.
Drinks/ Food: The donuts are awesome and we’ve also had awesome cocktails here on previous occasions.
The hash specialties are so so and the coffee was not great.

Service: could have been better. Not very attentive, order was not completely right and they didn’t do anything even though I had mentioned in reservation notes it was for a bday.

We would come back but they should work on the service piece

We came here for a birthday party and again were served by an attentive staff who treated us friendly in every way. We dined with 2 toddlers and the staff treated us like it was normal to have kids there! Will continue to go back there for good food and great service!

Awesome meal and can't believe we had not tried this place until now. Really great flavors and not afraid to be spicy which is admirable. Started with the tuna tartar which had really unique flavor we had not had before in this dish in other places and we always order it wherever we go. Then had the shrimp sugo which was beyond delicious and super spicy which was surprising. We love spicy food and typically don't think anything is that spicy, but that dish had some heat and was amazing. I even took the rest of the sauce home in a little dressing container! Next was the lobster roll which my husband had. I took a tiny bite and it was way too rich for me, loaded with butter in the bread and then a heaping amount of something that looked like white butter on top - really excessive. Husband said it was good, but way to rich so won't get it again. Then we had the collar fish. Wow, awesome Asian flavors and tons of actual fish. We were so stuffed. The only downer was there were still lots of scales on the skin, so had to avoid that. That was the only negative keeping me from giving 5 stars as I had few bites of scales and had to spit out. Otherwise, will definitely be back.

Wonderful ambiance, not too dark or quiet. Was a great dining experience with a excellent management and wait staff. We ordered the Tuna Tartare, Blue Crab w egg noodles, and Mussels. The tuna was perfectly seasoned and served with delightfully seasoned crispy tuna skin. The mussels were delightful and served in a rich, succulent sauce with a side if toasty bread to mop it all up. Luckily the wait staff offered extra toast for broth, knowing that most people would ask! The blue crab pasta was packed with umami, the egg noodles were chewy and well coated in a decadent garlic sauce. The blue crab meat added a salty element remincent of the sea a balanced the overall richness of the dish. Located in Iman Park, Beetle Cat is a great destination for the start or end to your evening!

We went for brunch, loved our server! He was great about dropping by and making suggestions, also gave us a free donut! Their brunch menu was absolutely delicious, I'd suggest the hominy hash and ANY of their donuts. Amazing. Although I thought the mimosas were a bit pricey (I'm coming from DC where you can get bottomless for a good $)... paying $9 for one mimosa seemed too steep to me. Everything else was absolutely reasonable.

It was my birthday. The food was superb but the service was truly lack luster. My child was never offered a kids menu. I asked for it and there was a mixup with the order that once I asked about it they were willing to correct. We had to ask several people for a high chair and when they brought it they left the chair at the table. My husband actually moved it so that we could place the high chair. My cousin ordered and was denied her request because the waiter felt she would like it better HIS way, lol. The toast was oily. The donuts were delish! The lobster roll was delish! The grits were good! The hamburger was apparently not good. The overall experience was generally speaking good because it was my birthday and we celebrated!

The service was exceptional. It was fun reading the menu, asking questions about the types of seafood and then having delicious, fresh, and palate pleasing crudos. The shishito pepper sauce should be bottled. The fish checks (can’t remember the dish name) has a sauce that iOS paired well with the fishiness of the plate.

Overall thank you for a first great experience.

Food was really good. A little on the expensive side especially if you order oysters. Overall the food is really good, we had the Branzino. Peel and eat shrimp were big and yummy. The beers were small, service was mediocre, just didn't wow me.

Second time there. Food was fantastic as expected, but this time around the service was merely so-so, even bordering on bad (& when considering price point, it was definitely bad service.) Waiter (Hank?) seemed to forget about us for a period of time, drinks went empty w/out refilling - had to flag down different wait staff to get a refill, our waiter failed to mention that it was oyster "happy hour" <- specials on oysters, my wife loves her oysters and it was her birthday,so it would've been nice to hear from our waiter, rather than overhear from another waiting explaining it to a different table. Given the poor service, it was difficult to enjoy overall. But again, the food was superb.

Loved the ambiance and decor! Makes for a cute dinner where it feels intimate without being too under each other. Staff was very knowledgeable and attentive. The Collar grouper is AMAZING! Would definitely recommend. Also had the shrimp noodle dish which was ok. Also tried the mashed potatoes with spinach which was a good accompanying item. Wish the menu had a few more options but overall great place for a date or just to grab a drink.
