What Insiders Are Saying
For Italian in Los Angeles, it doesn't get any better than the Arts District's Bestia, This isn't dinner, it's an experience.
Father’s Day dinner, great food and drinks
This place never fails to amaze you with their food, service, and ambiance. Each dish is consistent and made with fresh quality ingredients that you can taste in every bite. The space offers a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere that caters to all types of crowd and sets the mood for quite the dining experience. It doesn’t matter what occasion you choose to go here for, it will always be fit!
Hands down my favorite restaurant ever. Every dish you order will wow your taste buds. Personally my two favorite dishes that I cannot live without is the Cavatelli & the Bone Marrow. Those two are life changing dishes! I was a bit sad to see they no longer have the veal tartar crostini but it will always remain my favorite dining experience in LA.
Not a place to go if you have any food allergies and need modifications or substitutions. The kitchen will not omit ingredients and there is also no modifications or options for gluten free pasta/pizza. The food is very quick to come out so if you are in a rush it's great, not so great if you want to enjoy a cocktail and have a relaxed coursed out meal.
Cocktail was great. Food was decent. Unavailable was goose neck and pork chop.
Food was excellent for the most part - lobster crostino, cherries and tomatoes, the double tomahawk pork chop was incredible! We’re still talking about it. We had two desserts - the apricot and frangipane crostata was fantastic. The maple ricotta fritters were a let down. Soggy and doughy and I wasn’t a fan of the maple ganache - too fatty. But the huckle berry jam ice cream that comes with it was amazing.
The music was a little loud and the bass was distorting. The chairs look great but hard as hell. But we’d come back for the food and the service! :)
The date with my fiancée was great. It was our second time there and just as the first time the service was on point. The food was delicious as expected. We will be returning soon!
We enjoyed a great family night out. All dishes were beautiful and tasty. The Maple Ricotta Fritters was a fabulous choice of dessert. We had reservations, and we were seated immediately. Our server (and all other staff just passing by) was on point the entire time. Next time, we will request a seat at the chef's table. Counter-style seating with a front row view of the kitchen.
Amazing place! Super staff!
The quality of the food has drastically declined.
The food and service were AMAZING. Loved the vibe and atmosphere—a little loud but that’s seemingly on purpose, doesn’t necessarily detract just part of the experience. The staff are very professional yet put you completely at ease to enjoy your experience—not stuffy. The Into The Mist cocktail was delightfully refreshing and pretty to look at, the pork belly with strawberries was amaze, and the bone marrow spinach pasta was different and delicious. Great for a date or a group of friends.
The best dishes of the night was the roasted brocolli and the apricot mango dessert.
The pizza was excellent - lightly charred, floppy and chewy. Great almost sourdough flavor.
The pasta dish with the sausage and truffles had great truffle flavor!
Everything was AMAZING
Loved Bestia, food, service, atmosphere...however, its WAY too noisy. Need to learn
American sign language...
It was extremely expensive! Not worth the cost. Food average. Lityle choice for vegetarians. In a nutshell: never again!
Amazing. It was my 5th time.
We’ve been regulars here for years now, this was the place my fiancé brought us on our first date and we got engaged at Bestia. We always come back for the food and atmosphere but after a drastic change in management, the quality of service has unfortunately declined. We come from OC to eat here late at night and always have reservations. We waited over 30 minutes after our reservation time and a girl who seemed like she was in charge, had a very condescending attitude. Service from there got better, I’m glad the bus boys stayed. A lot of new faces, management changes, and it was clear there was a serious fall out from employees for whatever reason.
Incredible service and incredible food. It's hard to get a reservation but it is worth the wait!
the food was outstanding but the level of pretension by our waiter heavily outweighed the food
Superb food, great staff very enjoyable look forward to my next visit!
One of the best around overall. All dishes we had were well thought off and put together. Service was great and efficient.
It was loud but expected
Food was ok this time around. Been there when the food was much better. Service, as always, was top notch.
Everything about this place was great!!!
Food as always, delicious. Service as always, fantastic. Another wonderful evening celebrating the one you love most.
The food is always very good and the service is attentive and consistent. The only thing to be mindful of is the noise level and temperature; certain areas are warmer and quieter than others.
We absolutely loved our meal and the ambience and vibe. Cocktails are amaaaazing! Some of the best I’ve ever had. Since we’re vegetarian we’d love to see more on the pasta menu other than the gnocchi. But overall absolutely loved the meal
Amazing place with great food and service.
Hands down my favorite restaurant in LA, so much so that I check the availability every week. :P My favorite dish is the gnocchi - like elevated Spaghetti Os but WAY better. I find you can get last minute tables for Mon and Wed. The calamari, radicchio salad and charred broccoli are delicious. The drinks are good too, as is the wine. Really can't go wrong with anything here. I want to eat my way through the entire menu.
Food was wonder as always.
Always a great atmosphere. Service is great sometimes a little slow when it becomes crazily busy, but they are always on top of their game, energetic and knowledgable. Always satisfied and not ever a disappointment.
Been there a few times, always enjoy the place the drinks the vibe. the food is no more than ok. some dishes are really nice when other are really disappointing.
Great atmosphere! Food was delicious, food service was quick, and everyone was super nice.
Recently went for our 2nd time. Had a late night reservation booked over a month in advance. We ended up waiting 45 minutes to be seated, which put us into a late late dinner. The manager kept apologizing, but didn't do more than that. After about 30 minutes into our wait, someone brought us a small pour of proseco which definitely was a great idea. A full pour and 10 minutes sooner would have been even better. Then there would be no complaint. Those thoughtful touches make all the difference. They also gave us an extra appetizer on the house once at our table. Other than that, the food was wonderful, the service delightful, the environment perfectly hip.
Amazing dining experience you will not regret! Chicken gizzards are a must.
Great food, a bit too noisy. Service was ok, over all good but not destination worthy. Worth an after the fact thought but don’t go out of your way...
Every dish was well prepared, seasoned perfectly. Roasted Bone Marrow with pasts was still our favorite. The manager came over to apologize for the delay in getting our Spaghetti Rustichella entree, explaining the chef was not happy with the initial plate so he had it redone. The dish brought to our table was excellent, pasta was perfectly cooked al dente. We truly appreciated the chef’s attention to the quality of preparation of each dish. The service staff were very attentive and friendly. We truly enjoyed the entire dining experience.
Birthday! Fantastic experience!
I only have one negative feedback the chair I was seating was really uncomfortable and I had no room to move my legs or chair. Next time will wear tennis shoes . But the food and service was amazing
Lovely place with mouthwatering Italian food!
Food was delicious ! Service was great !
