Hong Kong never fails to surprise those willing to travel out from the central north-west axis of Hong Kong island and Kowloon, and for those venturing out into the pretty eastern districts of the New Territories there’s a wealth of sightseeing and good food to be found. Up in Sai Kung, a still-active fishing harbour, the streets are crowded with restaurants plying their trade, but it’s to Big Fish Seafood & Grill that lovers of maritime delights turn. It makes sense, given the proximity of the restaurant to the water, with fresh seafood delivered daily and a big terrace for alfresco dining. You can find this neighbourhood restaurant along Wan King Path, joining Yi Chun Street to Nin Chun Street and just off Man Nin Street in the southern part of town.

We really like this place but we’ve had poor experiences the last two visits. On both occasions the AC was so cold we had to have the manager change the thermostat.
The last visit the steak was over cooked.
This most recent visit our appetizer was brought out and it was the wrong appetizer. Service was EXTREMELY slow. We asked the manager why it took over an hour for our entrees to arrive. She offered no apologies whatsoever and started to tell us it was due to how I ordered my steak which was medium rare. There’s nothing worse than a lame excuse and no apologies.
We’re on the brink of not going back. There are plenty of other restaurants that will be happy to give good customer service.
And they stopped taking reservations.
