Biggest Little Steakhouse in Truckee presents a mixed dining experience. While some guests praise the "good price point" and "friendly staff," others note "mediocre food" and "limited service." The QR code ordering system receives mixed reactions. It's a spot with potential, but consistency is key for future success.

We arrived a little early for our 6:45 PM reservation to a pretty empty restaurant. There were 3 other groups besides us. We were seated and someone brought us bread, and then we waited. We waited for 20 minutes with no one coming over to welcome us, take drink orders, acknowledge us, anything. There were 2 servers who were taking orders at other tables so we were waiting patiently for our turn. However, we overheard that they were essentially out of many of the very limited menu items. We finally decided to just get up and leave with no one ever speaking to us. We went to Wild Pines and had a nice dinner and great service from Margo! I’d say go to Wild Pines for dinner in the village!

Big disappointment! Menu sounded good but food was mostly flavorless. Au jus sauce was salty, Brussel sprouts had no taste, nacho chips were soggy, waitress seemed tipsy. Paid too much for poor quality food. Go elsewhere for a burger or pizza at Northstar.

Food disappointed. For a steakhouse, the cuts were cooked not that well- flavors disappointed. Sides were tasty, but no dessert menu was surprising. At least the free cookies were tasty.

Limited menu, bland food, poor drink quality and order through an app.

Service is terrible. They make you order with a QR code then forget you. The food is mediocre at best. If there were more options in Northstar this place would be closed.

Food was great! Good price point, tasty, and fast. Only downside is that you order by QR code (which is fine) but would have liked to at least talked to a server or had someone check on us, especially if we were spending over $100 on dinner. However all in all, good price point for the food on the mountain.

The worst food we’ve ever had, steak looked and tasted like it was boiled A few days ago and then stuck under the grill. Rubbish

Lower end steakhouse at higher steakhouse prices. There was barely wait service. And they still added on a huge gratuity. The atmosphere was like pizza shop, and our bill was over $100 per person.

QR code????? Ambience zero, loud, don’t bring wine (no help), order off of a QR code?!?! Beyond surprised, missed this in the open table description. We cancelled our previous reservations for a “steak house”, brought an expensive bottle of wine to order off QR code and hunt someone down to open our bottle, which should have been decanted.
