   Coq au vin had some uncooked noodles dropped in it. We ordered bread and it was brought out with the meal instead of before like an appetizer. Your bathroom was also gross. And the line is an issue. Waitress was very nice and no issues with service otherwise.

    It’s a problem when a French restaurant makes you pay for bread. No reputable French restaurant charges for bread. Food ok, service very good. Bottle of red wine came out of the refrigerator. Wrong, red wine should be cellar temperature, not refrigerator temperature.

    We had breakfast there. Our waitress was attentive and very friendly. My omelet was delicious. The portions were good. My husband and I split a cinnamon roll that was amazing! We would definitely go back!

    I would recommend this restaurant, but there were patrons at the establishment who were being purposefully intrusive. It was a spat between a couple on Valentine's day that was boiling over in strange ways. There wasn't much the management could do, but taking ownership of the situation would've been nice for others at the restaurant. It was extremely awkward at times, and there seemed to be an effort to placate the couple since it was a tense situation. I get that it was kind of awkward to deal with, but for a $200+ meal, on a holiday, you'd like to expect more.

    HANDS DOWN ONE OF THE WORST DINING EXPERIENCES I’VE HAD IN A LONG TIME. Zero attentiveness from the waiter, cold food, one bathroom for a packed restaurant, cheap and cliché decor, no glasses for wine (that’s not exaggeration, when we ordered two glasses of red the waiter said he’d have to see if they had any wine glasses available because they ran out!) This restaurant has been open for a year and half, and I can’t wait til they close and get replaced. No one should have to be subjected to the tortuous night that we had and then have to pay $150 for the experience. Also, when they give you the tip options, the tax is included in the tip amount so say your meal was $80 and with tax it’s $88, they suggest tipping 20% on $88 ($17.60) not $16. I never tip on tax as that’s just the cost of doing business.

    The only downside was only one bathroom for so many customers and at certain times of day you are looking in direct sunlight. Beware.

    I had the steak au poivre. Delicious. My wife had scallops but they were undercooked and cold. When the brought back we’re delicious Hence they made right. I’d give a 5 if weren’t for that misstep on scallops. They were busy that nighfor Seinfeld concert. Service was good. They were just super busy.

    We found this spot whilst staying at the Pendry hotel in the Wharf DC development. We proceeded to have dinner at Bistro Du Jour on Friday night. Then we came for breakfast the next morning (Saturday). Needless to say, we returned for Sunday morning brunch, lol. 3 times in 3 days. I think that speaks for itself!

    As usual a good experience for lunch with a friend. We ate on the enclosed patio which was a bit too warm on a very cold day. However, the view of the Washington Channel and The Wharf was spectacular. The Croque Madam was much too cheesy and the bread too soft almost soggy with too little ham. The taste was good however. My lunch partner said both the French onion soup and salad nicoise were the best she’s had.

    Restaurant Week lunch at Bistro du Jour was outstanding. The French Onion Soup, Coq au Vin, and dessert were all delicious. What made the experience outstanding was the care and attention of the entire staff - especially our server Astrid -she was kind, efficient, and attentive. We will be going back!

    Fantastic! I had the salmon, and it was cooked to perfection. The sides and sauces all complimented it perfectly. The best French cuisine I have had in America, and possibly one of the 10 best meals I have had in my life. I've talked about that salmon so much in the past week, my wife is tired of hearing about it.

    My sister and I had a wonderful dining experience. The ambiance, hostess, waitress, and most of all, the food were excellent! We felt like we were in a Parisian cafe without having to actually jump on a plane to Paris! I can’t wait to return!

    Nice cocktails and entrees. The macaron with fig jam and mousse was fantastic but tiny for $8. The mousse appetizer was great as was the fluke, coq au vin and lamb stew. Champs elysse cocktail was great and French 75 was good. Good wine by glass but $21 for 8 oz pour is steep. Service was ok.

    Overall the ambiance is good. Food is tasty and portion not too big. The pastry is very good too but ran out quite quickly. Only drawback is that there’s only one washroom and hence always a line up.

    We had a fabulous New Year’s Eve dinner here - this is absolutely one of my favorite French restaurants in DC! This was my second time dining for dinner - can’t wait to visit again. It’s clearly a great spot for any meal!

    Delicious food and delightful setting. We came mid-day on a weekday over the holidays, and they seemed a bit short-staffed relative to other times we have been there. But still was lovely, and great brunch. Also, waitstaff were so kind to mention that the breakfast menu was about to close so helped us order in time to get crispy waffle. Very nice overall and will be back.
