We were there for my birthday, the Valet told us that we can validate our parking if we have reservation there , but unfortunately no one accommodate that and they had no idea what are we talking about and we ended paying them $40 we could park beside them for 1/4 of the price , service was slow to bring drinks, the server didn't know about the menu and the Crème brûlée was awful , brunch was ok , but for Fairmont we expected more, even the cocktails were not that good. we asked them if they can open the curtains so we can see the nice view, they couldn't do that either. Also no one had acknowledged the request for birthday via open table. and nothing was provided by them either.

Absolutely amazing. This stands out as one of the best meals I’ve ever had. My husband and I are vegetarian and there were plenty of options for us without needing to make special modifications which can sometimes be rare at fine dining restaurants. Solid 5 stars- I fully expect the Michelin stars to be on their way.

Wonderful in every way… except the noise level. There isn’t too much to absorb the noise… but the table next to was particularly loud - more sports bar than restaurant. We still had a delicious meal!

This was my first time at the botanist and I would return again on my next trip to Vancouver. We had brunch and with a glass of bubbles and a cocktail included in the price it was good value for money given the quality of the food. Creative dishes prepared beautifully.

Ok, so this has been one of our favorite restaurants in Vancouver for quite sometime. It is now sitting at our Number 1. It has been consistently amazing! We went there again last night for my birthday. From the moment you arrive you know that this is not your typical restaurant. They greet you with respect and immediately make you feel comfortable. The food is completely off the charts when it comes to presentation and of course flavors. Our server Chris did an amazing job of tending to us and explaining everything in detail. I believe we had a least 5 different servers tending to us, one would be pouring our wine, one would be bringing our dishes etc. Amazing! If your interested we started with the Wagyu Beef Carpaccio, which melts in your mouth. My wife had Kurobuta Pork Chop, which was delicious and I had the Striploin. The recommendation for desert was the Apple Brown Butter cake which once again was incredible. Botanist does everything right! This is fine dining at its best. Thank you all for making it an amazing dining experience for my wife and I, especially Chris. We will be returning soon.

It is very noisy, it was hard to hear ; it was very busy Friday night ; but I want to note that the staff were all very patient and repeatedly answered my questions ; Very attentive staff without hovering. Great food

Opting for the Chef’s menu alongside premium wine pairings, we encountered exceptional accommodation for dietary preferences – one of us being gluten-free and eschewing white wines. The server, kitchen and sommeliers provided top-notch service, elevating the dining experience. Despite the considerable cost, the evening was an investment in a truly memorable culinary journey. Bravo!

Server disappeared for the last 45 minutes. Had wanted to order coffee and dessert but gave up and finally found the manager in order to get my bill. Food was very good. Too bad about the poor service.

Lovely brunch and such a great deal. It was our first visit to Vancouver, and as a lover of dining out, especially for brunch, the reviews for Botanist were not wrong. The botany theme, the drinks, the food were all fantastic. Our server was so warm and offered great recommendations. The table next to us was having a terrible conversation, but the restaurant itself was wonderful. Would return!

Food was absolutely delicious! The area was very spacious, decor beautifully done and ambience was great. Our server seemed new and a bit shy and quiet and didn’t talk or engage in conversation, hence my 4 stars due to the service that I was expecting versus what we actually received.

Excellent quality of food. While the food is expensive, the cost is reflective of the wonderful dishes. Service was also excellent with our server being knowledgeable and friendly. Great options for vegans. Would recommend if you are looking for a fancy dinner out in Vancouver!

The best ambiance and service. Food is good. I had the burrata salad but realized there was no greens at all in there. But food didn’t disappoint. Scallops wrapped in prosciutto were good. Dessert we had the apple crumble and it was so good ! The best part of the meal was the dessert.

Decorating food was beautiful but quality of tastes were so so….just salty… nothing special. Just atmosphere was nice but food and drink were expensive. Wasn’t impressed this restaurant so I don’t think I won’t return this restaurant again.

We had the chef’s tasting menu. My husband had the standard and I requested vegetarian. Both were excellent. I was definitely full by the end and each course was inventive with the way different flavors were combined. I also got the blue moon mock tail which was also excellent.

The butter poached lobster is an iconic dish and one that makes it easy to see how Botanist got their Michelin star. Incredible service, creative cocktails. Excellent restaurant and on par with any in the country.
