    This restaurant was recommended by a family member and was the perfect place for dinner in all aspects. The wine menu is vast and the food was great withy many options. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a classic place to have dinner.

    We had a wonderful birthday dinner, all courses outstanding, but were disappointed that there is no a la carte option in the main dining room. It was far too much delicious food for us.

    One of the best restaurants in San Francisco year after year. Friendly receptionists, excellent wait staff, and every course was top notch. Very deep wine selection and excellent cocktails too. Good choice for anniversary celebration.

    We are long time patrons of Boulevard. Our service was impeccable. Decor, holiday trimmings, cocktails and wine service were spit on. Starters were amazing. Loved the Lobster Bisque with Crab Toast Points served in an antiques tea cup and saucer. Perfect presentation and temperature. Our only criticism is the entrees, Lam Loin chops (yum) and the Sea Bass and vegetable was cool. Plates weren’t even warm. We felt like it affected the pleasure of the entree.

    Always excellent. I had the pork chop for the first time. The accompaniments were AMAZING. I would personally have requested it be left on the heat just a tiny bit less, had I known, but I understand the concerns about pork that some people have. We love dining at Boulevard. The atmosphere is the most cozy, special and romantic, the food is incredible always, and the service is classically perfect. Swoon!

    The place has aesthetic sensibility of a speakeasy, but we went for food, not for marvels of interior design. The food was very good till we got to main courses, something that I'd characterize as elevated comfort food, very nice. The wine list is solid and incredibly well-priced, with a markup uncommonly modest, and clearly well under 100%. Both of the main dishes (and you have to order one as part of prix-fix menu, the only option available at dining tables) were below par, the lamb loin and scallops. The cheese plate was disappointing too. My impressio: one can have a nice meal of starters (the portions are quite sizable) at the bar, an enjoy this restaurant that way.

    Boulevard remains one of the finest restaurants in the Bay Area. The chef’s usage of texture and flavor always compliment the main ingredients resulting in surprising and delightful bites. It’s an elevated experience but doesn’t feel stuffy. The staff and ambience are lovely. We always look forward to eating here!

    We picked Boulevard for my wife’s birthday and it did not disappoint. We were greeted and seated promptly after arriving and the serving staff was also on point. Always there when needed but not hovering. There was a birthday card for my wife signed by the staff which was a nice touch. Our food and drinks were terrific and we enjoyed the experience thoroughly. We will be back.

    Ambience and service were great. The food however was not hot. Steak and scallops barely warm. It seems that these dishes may have been sitting for a while before arriving at our table. Also, the martinis were barely shaken and not cold. Disappointing for the price.

    We may be back, but it is hard to declare this meal a value. Both of our starters were truly outstanding - lobster bisque and Dungeness crab. Both our mains were quite good, but fell (well) short of spectacular (pork chop and halibut). Both of our deserts were ordinary. The chocolate that came with the bill was spectacular! We would both have preferred more of that to our actual desert. The service was also spectacular, couldn't be better. We would prefer an option of '2 courses, no desert' with a lower price.

    We so wanted to love this dinner since it had been a long time since we had been there. Unfortunately the quality just did not live up to its reputation. Several of us had the abalone and squid app. Creative, but you could barely find the abalone. Again several of us had their signature dish, quail. It was tasty but lost on a huge plate with an unrecognizable side. The scallops were lovely as was the filet. Then the deserts…the Affogato coffee was cold , and the cheese platter was terrible. The brie was not ripe, cold and tasteless. The swiss was uninteresting. However. The wine was wonderful as one of our party was an expert wine enthusiast. Also the service was stellar. Overall, we will unfortunately not be rushing back any time soon.

    The service was excellent! The fixed price menu offered a wonderful selection of choices and each course was excellent. Some of the items were somewhat too complicated I felt. But overall a wonderful dinner.

    Swift, professional service. Gina, our server, deftly managed my tricky allergy. Food was flavorful and beautifully presented. Wine list was an embarrassment of riches. The distinct character of the interior is a fun departure from the usual. Looking forward to going back. (Especially if Gina is our server!)

    Boulevard is a beautiful restaurant. We were in the "lounge" area which felt like a bit of a down grade to the dinning area. The food was very good. The scallops were excellent, which made up for the pork chop that was over cooked. It was a mixed experience for us, but we will try it again with better knowledge of reservations and menu items.

    A lovely anniversary dinner where we were made to feel like kings ! Totally pampered and well fed! Incredible lobster bisque and seared scallops to die for! The sommelier, John, knew just the right wine for us from our description of what we wanted. Gina was our fabulous server who took great care of us. Thank you, Boulevard!
