   Great place but small portions for the price. A cup of berries was $13. I was expecting a large portion of fruit. Yogurt and granola should come with the meal. Plus I had to pay extra for toast to go with my eggs and bacon. Food was great but portions are very small. Overpriced for breakfast.

   Server was great. Bar drinks slow and wrong. Pizza wrong toppings. Out of buns, low on dessert selection and last call appeared early with our 1k tab. Not very positive. Some food items excellent. Server tried hard.

   Very nice lunch last Tuesday. We were the first group in then it got very busy. Server was professional and friendly. We split a salad and a pizza. All delicious. My friend had a very well made cocktail.

   We have been to Brasserie a couple of times and it seems to be hit or miss with the food depending on the chef for the night. Unfortunately, last night was a miss. Halibut was cold coming out and favor/cook/everything seemed off. We also ordered the empanadas, which I took one bite of and did not want to finish. Bummer because the bill for 4 of us was closer to $400. We still had a good time with friends. They had a live band there which was cool- good ambiance. If they worked a little on their quality of food and making sure their waiters are informed about the menu, it would be really beneficial for the restaurant. Our waitress was very nice, but did not seem knowledgeable about the menu.

    Lovely setting, parking was easy. All staff very pleasant and it appeared training and support has been given. Would definitely go back again.

    First time here and loved it! Met some friends for dinner. Salmon was delicious. My husband said his past was amazing. Service was good. Was a slow night so very quiet which was lovely. Good wine and beer choices too.

    What I thought would be a fun and romantic way to spend New Year’s, turned out to be completely the opposite. From cramped seating to absolutely horrible service that took 2 hours to get 2 out of 5 courses served … our fun and romantic New Years Eve dinner was ruined. Our server had no idea what she was even doing half the time. It started off by sitting at our table for 20 (not exaggerating) without anything to drink. No water was offered by the host when we were sat and the server didn’t come to our table for 20 minutes. Once we got water from the host, because I waved him over, the server finally came over to apologize for ignoring us. We picked an early dinner reservation time (6:30) because we were excited to be able to ring in the east coast New Year at 9pm on the roof top. The food was less than par, rather underwhelmed by the entire experience to be honest. Every dish that was suppose to be warm, was pretty cold by the time we got it. Needless to say, we were pretty frustrated that by 8:30pm and being only on course 2 of 5, we had to inform management since every table around us that had been sat after us (later reservations) was already on desert. The manager apologized and guaranteed that he’d push the rest of our food out quickly. He came by to ask how we were and noticed we still didn’t have the next dish, want to know why, because they delivered it to another table. He ended up delivering one of the dishes himself because we were able to walk out. It was a disaster. Here’s how the food went: The first dish - oyster were ok. The second dish - the noodles were coagulated in a sticky cold sauce. Small portion and hardly any mushrooms or bacon in my serving. Husbands serving was a little better visually. The third dish - the Rizzetto was cold and gooey with hardly any flavor. The forth dish - the mashed potatoes were cold and the meat serving was mainly fat. The fifth dish - a chocolate cake that tasted as if it was days old.

    I have been here twice: once for brunch and again for New Years Eve. That particular day the service for brunch was not up to snuff. We were there for three hours (with no alcohol), the service was that slow. That being said, the atmosphere on the back patio was so charming and every place deserves a mulligan, so I gave them another try. New Years was a fixed menu, so not completely representative of the day to day, but the food was very good. The dessert was a bit lacking of flavor, but had a lovely presentation. The evening service was exceptional. I was a bit disappointed in the ambiance inside, due to the long booth with tables that feels too communal for a formal dinner setting. I also hate to be snobbish, but I AM a drink snob, so I was a little disappointed that my Moscow Mule was not served in a copper mug, especially for the price (very expensive). Overall, I would say this restaurant is on the right track, but not quite there yet. It needs a bit of fine tuning.

    Our first time at Brasserie SLO. Food was excellent as was the service and ambiance. The menus is not vast but the selections are all very good. Wine list is amazing!

    We enjoyed everything at Brasserie SLO. Comfortable hanging out at the bar trying the various creative and delicious cocktails as well as beers and wines on tap. Dinner menu had something delicious for everyone and the service at the bar and tables was professional and very welcoming. We look forward to returning.

    We were seated promptly. Waitress was polite and attentive. It took a while to get food which was understandable, ie Christmas night. One in our party had veg. wellington. Presentation on par with Dennys. The dish was so so. Later found out price for veg wellington, a special was 85.00. I ordered chicken fricassee which I shared. I gave some of the chicken and veg. to my spouse. Her response '' its awful ". After tasting the chicken I agreed. Under cooked or overcooked? Maybe from freezer to pan. About 1/2 hr into meal, our waitress disappeared never to return. No explanation. Then another waiter showed up with a duplicate of our order. Oops! No wait staff would claim our table. Finally a waitress appeared. We ordered strawberry shortcake. They were extremely stale. I believe 1st waitress should have warned us about 85.00 price for special. All in all a terrible experience.

    We were told the prime rib was only medium. We received rare. Our waitress was not at the level of professionalism we expected. At 5:00 pm the first special was not available. I realize you are short staffed and it was Christmas day, but we would not return.

    Menu selection limited but daily special helped. Food was plentiful but still may have been overpriced. SLO has ridiculous parking arrangements. Metered street parking until 9 at night, even on Sunday. Fortunately, Hotel Cerro has it's own underground parking and there is no charge if going to dinner at Brasserie. Not very crowed on Sunday night. For awhile we were the only two there. While waiting for entrees another couple arrived and then a family of 6. That was it while we were there. Don't know what that says other than it's slow on Sunday, the week before Christmas. Peach cobbler and lemon tart were both very good, but $12 for dessert? Would recommend if you like a different type of menu. Would advise checking the menu first. Also a surprise..they don't have coffee, only espresso. We asked for coffee with cream and sugar and were told they only serve espresso, black. I mean who doesn't serve coffee?

    SLO Brassiere @ Hotel Cerro was wonderful. From the excellent cocktail program to the amazing food. My wife and I had my Birthday dinner and it was amazing. Delicious food, great service and amazing cocktails! What more could you want?

    Slow service. Bad timing. Disappointing menu and food. Server kept blaming the bartender and kitchen for all mistakes instead of taking ownership of his service. Not a great experience. Been the same the past few visits. But Garden St is pretty.

    Fantastic server! Prompt refills on coffee and iced tea, quick service, but we never felt rushed. The fried chicken was really remarkable -- no bones (nice!), just the right balance of hot/spicy and sweet, and so tender. Flaky biscuits. A great brunch in a lovely space.

    The Empanadas appetizer was good. The entrees: Chicken fricassee came in a hugely under seasoned broth with overcooked vegetables. The Chicken itself was crisp and flavorful. The Beef Bourguignon was a little better but the beef was less flavorful than it should’ve been which is odd because the sauce was good. The kitchen just needs to taste as they go and these issues would be easily fixed.

    Varied menu focused on good seafood and meat, well-prepared with bold flavors. Good value wine list. Excellent service. We enjoyed the outdoor patio on a quirt side street but the indoor space looks airy and comfortable.

    We loved the artichokes (but they are messy to eat) and the empanadas and pizza were also excellent. We came early, so the noise level was low, but I can imagine it gets noisy later. We also received vey good service. We will return again.
