Bricco has garnished superlative reviews from food writers in Boston and around the country – Best Guaranteed Meal in the North End and Best Pasta in Boston just two of the most recent accolades.
The talented kitchen team creates “boutique” Italian food, so-called because it is unique, personal and created for a select and sophisticated diner. The food is complemented by an enoteca (wine bar) with an exceptional selection of all-Italian wines.
Bricco also offers a sophisticated late night scene. The chic and energetic bar serves up great one of a kind cocktails as well as brick oven pizza with gourmet toppings such as prosciutto and fresh mozzarella from Italy in addition with appetizer selections.
Late Night: Friday-Saturday 11p.m. to 2 a.m.
Private dining at Bricco features custom menus formulated by the same talented chef who oversees the acclaimed restaurant kitchen downstairs, as well as a superb Italian\American wine list.
Excellent experience...we had a great time! the food was excellent
Bricco was very romantic with dim lighting and cozy seating. The food was amazing and I would highly recommend for a special occasion or date!
One of the best meals we’ve had in Avery long time. We brought our cousins who were visiting from London and travel all over the world. They were equally impressed with the quality of the food and service. We will most definitely be back!
Third time here. Service was excellent. Food was excellent. Very loud on a Friday night.
Bricco is amazing. Their steak is one of the best in Boston. And if you like espresso martinis you must try theirs. Definitely recommend.
The service wasn’t as good as it used to be but bricco is still our favorite place. I have to say the burrata isn’t that good and it used to be our favorite appetizer. All in all I still love you
Amazing food and service! The Chilean sea bass is amazing!
Bricco is among the hundreds of Italian spots in Boston's North End. Larger than most, it's a mainstay on Hanover Street, with a tried and true approach to northern Italian dining that's stood the test of time. Not so focused on pasta, the menu is more meat-centric than many area spots. There is a bit too much focus on the origins of their beef - it's Angus - but all of their dishes are well-prepared and very tasty. Not a place to try and stretch out, as indoor space is constricted, but it's still possible to dine in comfort and be attended by the very professional and personable staff. A very cool bar completes the ambiance. The only slight misstep on our visit was the bread, which was generic and bland, but the rest of our choices were uniformly excellent. Lots of choices in the North End but Bricco's should be near the top of your list.
My boyfriend and I went to Bricco for dinner on NYE around 8:00. The first floor was very busy but had a great energy - we got seated on the second floor which was significantly more quiet. I was hoping to be seated downstairs for more of a fun atmosphere, but all was good. The prosciutto and speck app was so great and our entrees were good as well! I would definitely go back to sit at the bar or on the first floor to give it a try.
Pricey. Server less then friendly.
Very tight seating.
Food is very good.
We sat on the side with the second bar and it was very noisy and hard to hear. There were also many people standing close to our table
Wonderful experience as always!
Good food but very loud and tight fit in between tables. Overall , better options around town.
Fantastic meal! We visit a different restaurant in the North End every new year's eve, and our standards are high! Definitely the best meal we have had in the North End. Really varied and fabulous menu, and lots of wines by the glass to choose from. In addition, our server was excellent. His name was Wolmar, don't hesitate to ask for him!
wonderful dinner! The only weakness was that the waiter was a smoker and you could clearly smell it on his breath. Not too appetizing....
We had a very nice time celebrating our anniversary at Bricco. To be honest, I was expecting them to make it more special with a dessert or something for a special occasion which they didn’t. So overall, would recommend for a date night but not necessarily a special occasion.
This was our third visit and it was excellent as always. The service, the food, the ambiance are top notch. This visit, I had two concerns........one is minor....and probably specific only to me. I always have the seared tuna and they never have wasabi. I know...petty, petty, boo hoo, I just love wasabi on my tuna. The second could have been a problem, but we were lucky. We had four adults and two children...10 and 6. All of the adults had drinks and appetizers. The dinners for the kids came out with the appetizers. We could have shared our appetizers with them and kept them occupied, but once their meal was gone, they were done. We were just lucky that they were very interested in dessert and stayed on their best behavior. Neither of these are complaints, simply statements. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes great food....and save room for the bread pudding!
Awesome as usual - waiters Ann was fantastic!
Favorite place in the North End. Service and food is top notch.
Amazing food and our waiter was fabulous!
Lamb rack was delicious
Hadn’t been to Bricco for a while, but it is still outstanding !
We had the Ossobuco, and it was on par with the best, ...it was as good as Harry’s Bar in Venice.
And, we scored a 2007 Amarone which was the perfect compliment to the Ossobuco.
This still the best restaurant on Hanover Street !
Fabulous food and lovely atmosphere. Does not disappoint
Too busy waitress on Christmas night. Kept hitting my chair as they were serving other tables. No water refills, hard to understand.
We went on Christmas night. They were out of many menu items which was disappointing but we enjoyed what we were able to order. The pumpkin tortelli were good but not hot enough. My husband enjoyed the salmon but was really looking forward to the branzino. Service was superb.
Went here on Christmas returning from vacation, food came out quickly despite being very busy, presentation was nice, food was good, however server was miserable! Barely spoke or smiled, its Christmas, FAKE IT! Kind of ruined it for us...
We went for a special family dinner and all loved it!
Came for Christmas dinner. Fantastic!
We decided to dine out on Christmas Day and chose Briccos. It was fabulous! We had a great table for 4 by the window. Service was attentive, we did not wait or want for anything. The menu is exquisite and every appetizer and main dish we ordered was simply delicious. The wine list is great for both bottles and by the glass. Dessert was heavenly and sinful, as it should be. Would highly recommend you give it a try next time you are in Boston!
Came here for Christmas Eve dinner. It was fantastic. We were seated ahead of schedule. We were next to a rather large party so hearing the waiter was tough, but it’s too be expected on a holiday. The food was delicious and our waiter was great.
Don’t let them seat you next to the bar. Too crowded to enjoy your meal
Food was great but noisy
This restaurant is a favorite of ours and it did not disappoint.
Food was fabulous which trumps all, but the Restaurant was uncomfortably loud and the tables were too squished together. Also leftovers were improperly packaged together. No validated parking at Parcel 7 garage and valet service was slow. But back to the food, it was exceptional.
My fiancée loves this place. I took her on one our first dates here. We fell in love with the place. She loves the creme brulee. Service is always great food is awesome. I called ahead to see if the app had worked n it did perfectly. They received my special request. Roger which was our server He was awesome.Ty Briccos team for making that night memorable. Which was my fiancées BDay and the day of our engagement.
Emilio the server is awsome!!!!!
the food was inventive; the service was attentive. Good experience. Perhaps a bit loud.
When visiting Boston we often meet in the North end and make Briccos our choice. There were 6 of us and all but one dish was excellent. The veal chop was overly breaded and fatty. There are less expensive choices but $49 for the veal was too much. One of our meals came about 10 minutes after the others because another server took it and they had to remake it. The tortelli pumpkin was excellent when it arrived. The atmosphere is great but be prepared to shout if you want to be heard on a busy night. Server, Bonnie was great but obviously very busy. We’ll probably be back.
Excellent North End restaurant. Had the wild boar pappardelle and the Caprese Salad with a glass of Barolo. It was all fantastic.
I’ve been to Bricco on a previous occasion and we had an amazing dinner. I decided to take my parents when they came to visit the city and while we all enjoyed the food very much, the service was seriously lacking. Our server never greeted the table, never introduced himself and was relatively inattentive throughout the meal. I was so surprised based on my previous experience which was exceptional, that this was a real turn-off. Not sure that I would return if this is the type of service to expect.
