Bricco has garnished superlative reviews from food writers in Boston and around the country – Best Guaranteed Meal in the North End and Best Pasta in Boston just two of the most recent accolades.
The talented kitchen team creates “boutique” Italian food, so-called because it is unique, personal and created for a select and sophisticated diner. The food is complemented by an enoteca (wine bar) with an exceptional selection of all-Italian wines.
Bricco also offers a sophisticated late night scene. The chic and energetic bar serves up great one of a kind cocktails as well as brick oven pizza with gourmet toppings such as prosciutto and fresh mozzarella from Italy in addition with appetizer selections.
Good food, nice atmosphere. Tables are a little too crowded next to each other. Nice for that real Italian culinary experience.
The food was great as always but the second floor room was so loud with a very noisy group at the next table that our dining experience ended up being negative. There should be something done to control that kind of situation either by finding a way to cushion the sound or gently telling guests to keep the noise level down. It’s a shame that we couldn’t enjoy the dinner.
Service was impeccable. Friendly and professional. Her recommendations were very welcome.
The tomahawk was huge and cooked perfectly. The stuffed zucchini flowers were delicious
The food is always superb and the bartenders make the perfect martini! Love being able to count on an exceptional dining experience each time we go.
Excellent food, great service. A little noisy but other than that, I would highly recommend this restaurant.
It was a beautiful summer evening and we were seated upstairs in the dark, back of the room, between two families with small children. I was extremely disappointed. Service was wonderful, as was the food.
What a great experience! We went for my boyfriend's birthday and we had such a great time. Our server was fantastic and let us take our time and enjoy our courses. We will definitely be back soon!
Food was average. Wish they had more traditional Italian food.
Calamari wasnt cooked to order, neither was the octopus. Pork tenderloin was overcooked and took about 60 seconds just to cut through one bite sized slice. It was obscenely loud and the price you pay for this mediocre italian food is highway robbery. Clearly Bricco is catering to uneducated tourists who have no idea what properly prepared food tastes like or feels like in your mouth. Bricco step up your game for the educated foodies in the north end, I expected better.
The steak and lobster were both outstanding. My wife got the chicken and we shared a side of the pasta. The pasta was great but the chicken was extremely dry.
We were seated upstairs and the ambiance was average at best. Also, the service was subpar unfortunately. Both our drinks and waters were not refilled, we had to ask for refills, and we although she was nice, the service was definitely not up the standards of a high end restaurant.
The food was great, our server Patty was great and the over all experience was great. Delicious drinks and the pasta was amazing. Its a little pricey but still worth a go!
Have enjoyed Bricco's over the years. This time, while the food was as good as usual, the service was just okay. We do like the restaurant, but the waitress seemed to have way too many tables to give the proper attention, and she forgot to bring our dessert.
Enjoyed our evening at Bricco. It was a great way to celebrate our anniversary and meet up with some great friends. Delightful night at Bricco
Everything was good.. nothing was GREAT. Probably not worth north end prices/ crowds.
We live in Boston and frequent Bricco often. The Veal Valdostana is amazing.
We were fortunately seated upstairs, where it was quieter, more spacious and less hectic. Food, on balance, was very good, and the wine list is impressive. Service was OK. For a restaurant at this price point, they need to train the people busing the tables to be less aggressive about clearing plates, etc. Overall, I would come back.
Place is trash manager shut me off for no reason
Once again Bricco did not disappoint. Branzino is our go to favorite. We had guests from Texas - very much into beef, and they loved the entire meal. All the traditional Italian is fabulous as one would expect. Upstairs tends to be quieter if you find the ground level of the North End too noisy. Servers were a great balance of being attentive and not hovering. Definitely make a reservation!
When we showed up to the bar, the staff were very rude to our group . It was like we were a nuisance . My fiancé and I are moving to the area and are trying out new spots. We like to be regulars . I can say this will not be the spot for that after our bartender didn’t poor vodka in the OJ and cranberry juice that our friend ordered and then instead of an apology that she misunderstood, she argued that vodka wasn’t stated in the order . My friend clearly stated Tito’s cranberry and OJ I heard him order myself. Then after she poured the second one (which had vodka in it ) she put the plain juice on the tab that was clearly her mistake . Poor customer service, over salted food, rude bartenders . Many reasons to never return .
Very friendly wait staff and great food! Not too noisy for a North End restaurant.
I was recommended Bricco by a friend from Boston. She knows what I like and nailed it. The waiter did a great job pairing wine with our meals. I had Osso Buco with risotto. Awesome.
Great food, great service, and great servers Nice table window on a beautiful day
Always a great experience!! One of our favorite places in the North End!!
Delicious visit to Boston! A MUST. Pastas are no-brainers. Can’t pick one over another. The best!!
Amazing dinner! Shrimp scampi is a awesome.
Ate upstairs for the first time, little noisier up there with families but still the best meal I’ve ever had in Boston. Request to eat downstairs if you can
Cold food and it sucked so much
It was the first time we’d ever sat in the side room. Def prefer main rooms please!
We had trouble understanding our server’s accent! She wasn’t Italian and we had to have her repeat herself so many times it was embarrassing. She understood us perfectly, however.
2 odd experiences in the dozens we’ve eaten there! Still love you
Staff at reception were very accommodating. Bartender was great, made a very good margarita. the food was fantastic and wait staff was "top notch".
Awesome spot, had a great experience, food was amazing! Service was great until she left right before we cashed out which was strange. Overall amazing as always
Awesome restaurant. Seated upstairs which was nice, but not the same as the main first floor. I wish they would have pointed that out in advance.
We end up traveling to Logan at least twice a year to take our grandchildren back to the airport after their time with us. We have tried several of the restaurants that can be reached by water taxi, but Bricco's has become our favorite. It is pricey, but worth every penny. This year, we rode Codzilla shortly before our scheduled reservation. We got soaked. I was heartbroken, because we will not see their dad - or them - for a year and they love it. We called and they kindly adjusted our reservation so that we could go back to the hotel and change. I had the Ahi Tuna and my grandaughter had the Gnocci - which we shared. My son had a pasta topped with Wild Boar. My husband had the filet and my daughter had a pasta...I forget which one...but all of them were delicious. Did I mention the appetizers? Beet salad, MEATBALLS, cheese and crostsini....and all were wonderful. Did I mention dessert? Tiramisu, Bread Pudding, and a trio of Gelato. Did I mention service....IMPECCABLE. Not all restaurants pay attention to young children. Our servers have always gone out of their way to make it an enjoyable time. The final praise is that the Old Fashioneds are the best we have had anywhere. Thanks again, Bricco's. Love you! See you soon.
Birthday. Food and service was great.
Everything you could wish for in a quality Italian-American dining experience. Wish I lived in Boston so I could come here for every birthday!
Excellent food, steaks perfectly cooked. Friendly and efficient service, great with a table close to the sidewalk with the sides open in the nice summer weather. Will come back next time in Boston.
Our hotel concierge recommended Bricco. We left completely underwhelmed. First, the restaurant is LOUD. There was no way to have a conversation. Second, the tables were nearly stacked on top of each other. A customer should not need to worry that they will pull the tablecloth off the adjoining table when passing. Finally, the foot was lackluster. The appetizers were ok but not memorable. Our entrees were just ok. My pasta was overcook and dry as could be - Not even the sauce could help. Our server was hustling his butt off but they sat 5 tables at exactly the same time. The last table to be seated took 15 minutes to get any attention at all. They actually said that they wanted to order food when he was finally able to take their drink order because they weren't sure they would ever see him again. YIKES.
Place was excellent. Service was great and food was super. My only complaint was that is was very dark and seeing the menu was hard for my husband. He had to use the table candle and his reading glasses to see the menu.
Nice ambiance but quite loud. We had several very high quality dishes. We most enjoyed the ricotta pillows, gnocchetti and the zucchini flower. Glad we had reservations as it was super crowded.
Unbelievable. Best Italian in Boston!!
