BRIO Tuscan Grille - Hallandale Beach - Gulfstream
We have come several times to this restaurant and it was great. Something changed and the menu is different and I would anticipate that is the first disappointment for returning customers. On our visit last Sunday Jan 13th, we went for my son's birthday and the food took almost an hour to arrive.
3 Children pizzas 45 min, the rest of the plates (Salmon Salad, Roasted Chicken and Pomodoro Pasta) took 60 minutes. I don't know if this was a one time issue but there were several customers complaining about. Waiter was courteous but the general experience was not good at all. Not coming back unless there is a formal confirmation this situation will change.
Horrible food and service. We have been coming here since it opened years ago. They changed the menu and options were horrible. Starting with white peach sangria, which was an extremely sweet pink drink, not like before. Sent it back and they would not remake. Food took forever to arrive even though the restaurant was half empty on a Saturday night. The pasta was so hard it couldn’t be chewed. No parmesan offered and had to wait 10 minutes to finally get someone to bring it. Asked to speak to manager, but was told no manager available because they were in a meeting?
After many years of loyalty, we will not be returning.
We have been going there for ten years regularly. Last Saturday was desastrous and disappointing. New management and new menu. Higher prices and much smaller portion. The kitchen was out of control last Saturday night, it tools one hour and half to get our entries. People left their table because of the wait and by 8:30pm the restaurant was half empty, in prime winter season. It was one of our favourite restaurant and it will not survive if they can't get their act together when regular customers are so disappointing. The previous great value in terms of quality and value is no longer there with those higher prices, smaller portion and poor service. Instead of our monthly visit we may give it a try again in six months, if they are still in business.
been a regular customer for many years, but not any more. The last three times I was there, service was very bad, the front desk hostess looked mad, my reservation (which was confirmed via e-mail and also via telephone), they couldn't find in the system and worst of all, food was way beyond par. Thanks for the memories Brio, but it's now time to move on and find another Italian restaurant.
the service was ultra slow.....but the server was very polite and the manager comes to apologize and she order a 20% off on the bill,
Worst service ever! We went to Brio on Saturday 12th for dinner (party of 8). We had to complaint to manager because server was not doing her service properly; not removing plates, glasses, not respecting to bring plates first for our kids, we had to ask 3 times for a chicken soup for our grand daughter! Not bringing ice bicket for our white wine, not offering psrnesan or pepper for our meals, not serving our wine...All was pitched on the table!! Manager was fighting with her servers in the back where kitchen delivers.
We will never be back!!!
unlike last time we where there, we had a very good server and that made all the difference between a mediocre dinner to a very good one
Completely disgusted with the food , service and management.
I would never go back or recommend to anyone.
I made reservations for my mother’s Birthday, the night was a disaster from beginning to end.
Just to give an idea :
We ordered a Carpaccio, it got to the table before water , drinks or bread...
Carpaccio came dry .... no dressing
No waiter on sight to bring olive oil or vinegar....
We asked for bread , many times ....
After we were done with the dry Carpaccio we finally got the bread and dressing....
Marguerita served in a tall glass , mostly ice.....
Lobster bisque, extremely thick....
Pasta over cooked, no seasoning....
Dirty dishes on the table the entire night ....
During the whole dinner, the waiter never checked on our table....
After explaining to the manager all the mistakes made , he thought that giving us a discount would solve the matter....
No discount or money can make up for the horrible experience!!
all was fine we had a great time. food was excellent!
Always a great meal. Nice service, easy parking
Food was good overall. Some things were alittle bland. Service was ok. Had to wait a while for waitress to return. It was a Wednesday so not a really busy night.
Toute les fois que je viens en Floride, je me doit de venir faire mon petit tour au Brio. Superbe ambiance et bonne bouffe.
On dec 31st my wife ordered the grilled chicken . The chicken was burn and dry. She didn’t complain because we know that at new year eve it is very busy. On jan 6. She ordered the same plate and we specify to the waiter to make it not burn. But it was the. That time we mention it. My wife was little disappointed and it ruined her diner for the second time on the row. Also the waiter didn’t apply the credit to our diner on dec 31st.
we returned to Brio after several months and we found the the food sizes where much smaller, the service wasn't good. The food was still tasty and very good
Since we like to go at Brio (for special occasions with friends or just for a casual lunch or dinner), my husband and I decided to have dinner there for a special reunion with family from France and California (It was a reservation for 11 people).
We were really disappointed!!!
My husband and I ordered spaghetti carbonara and GF pasta carbonara, the dishes were so small that they could have been kid menu portion. Some of our relatives ordered Angus ribeye, and the meats had a bad taste and smelled. They informed the waiter, who took the meats back and asked if they want a filet instead. Since most of us finished our dinner, they asked to go.
The worst part was when the check showed the prices of the filets!!! Really???
At the end after mentionning this disappointment regarding the charge, the waiter removed the prices of the filets...
My husband and I were ashamed to bring our guests at Brio!!!
We will think twice before to go back there!
Beaucoup trop bruyant. Nourriture très salée dans l'ensemble. Rapport qualite-prix très élevé.
Ownership and menu has changed! Service is still great but it is not as busy as it once was, and I think it is because the portions are smaller. Still the same price but not the same amount of food. Lots of negative talk from customers
Happy hour drinks are still good 🥂
Server was terrible.
The service was very slow. The server forgot to put in our appetizer salad. Meals came out at different times. She gave us the Desert menu and did not come back for 15 minutes which we had to flag her down to take the order.
Last year the service wa better. Son for souper serveur jeep Coffee spoon, we have tout as Waterloo. Hé don't as us for Coffee or désert. Thé foot was ok
They took 1hr to bring our plates when there were only three parties in the restaurant. My pasta came without a main ingredient. The new menu is nothing special. Miss the old menu. Service was terrible. Had to wait for everything. Very disappointing.
We were not happy with our waiter.
Jour de l’an
Overbooked! Did not honor a reservation time set up weeks before date specified. Waiters took care of too many tables and could not properly take care of everyone. Too many restaurants in Gulf Stream to have to put up with the aggravation again. I will eat somewhere else next time!
I have been coming to this restaurant frequently from the day it opened and did notice decline in service level and food quality but never had too many complains but last two New Year's celebrations at this location have killed my desire to ever come back: absolutely horrible experience, dysfunctional and rude management, poorly prepared tasteless food and service. I understand New Year Eve is the busiest day of the year but strongly believe that management had all the previous years experiences to prepare for this day accordingly to avoid more than an hour waits considering all reservations done online and in advance. Never again and will not recommend this location to anyone. Very sad...
Brio have change but not for the best. Food is less good for highest prise...
Very busy night. But the service was still reasonable. Everyone was pitching in even managers in suits
Brio is always pretty good and this time went well. They had to seat us outside because of our party size; however, it was fine since we had kids with us. The service was above average. The only issue was that I think the portion size of the pasta brio decreased. It could have just been that night but I definitely received less food than I typically get. I still like Brio and will continue to eat there.
Très bonne nourriture et très bon service, très bon rapport qualité/ prix.
Enjoyable dinner. We go for happy hour all the time but the dine in option for dinner was a nice change. Portions are a not very large but they are adequate. Food was all tasty.
Love the Lamb Chops, best around. Service was very good.
We had reservations but had to wait 30 minutes to be seated. It took them another 30 minutes to get drink and food orders. An hour in and we still did not have food. They forgot to bring one appetizer, a second appetizer was wrong but the waiter said we already had plenty of food so really did not think he needed to bring the correct order. One of the main dishes [pasta] came cold. Another dish did not have the ingredients described in the menu. A huge let down. This is the 2nd time there where we were terribly disappointed. We will likely not go back.
I have frequented Brio for many years, and in the past I have always given it an Outstanding review. As in the past the service remains Outstanding. However, they recently changed their menu and some of the really good options are no longer being served. Some have also changed slightly and aren't as good as in the past. I still recommend it for a nice ambiance, wonderful service and good (not outstanding) food.
We have been here for a number of years. The change of ownership is noticeable, but the restaurant remains an attractive place. Disappointed by the shrimp, the recipe has changed. the pasta was excellent, as well as the strawberry salad. the service was slow but it was already so. it's still a nice place and the dinner was satisfying.
Previously, it was our favorite restaurant. But for a while now, it's really disappointing. Very bad service. The menu has changed and we don't have our favorite food anymore. Hopes much better.
Portions are very small. Salad has a lot of lettuce nothing else. I think 2 little tomatoes. Salmon was so small it looked like a fillet cut in half for someone else. Had to wait 40 minutes at the table for one terrible meal. Ate a lot of bread.
This was the third time we tried this restaurant. Guess we are gluttons for punishment.
Learned our lesson 3 times and your out.
the menu has been recently changed & simplified with overall less choices available--
sides have been eliminated--
wine list has a slight improvement--
Ridiculously slow; took 90 minutes for food to come out. Food was cold and not good. It was also really loud inside.
