Situated in the Haymarket Hotel, Brumus offers glamorous brasserie style dining and serves sophisticated cocktails in the chic and cosmopolitan Brumus bar. Afternoon Tea can be taken in the restaurant or the unique hotel conservatory all day. Afternoon Tea embraces creative sweet and savoury treats that join an impressive selection of speciality teas and infusions. Brumus has a strong emphasis upon using seasonal and locally sourced ingredients. Brumus offers Restaurant Seating, Bar Seating and our new outdoor terrace adjacent to the theatres. In times of inclement weather, we will move reservations in to our indoor areas.

    Please come and savour our Traditional Afternoon Tea which includes a selection of finger sandwiches, plain and fruit scones served with an assortment of homemade preserves and a plate of pastries from £40 per person or £52 per person with a ‘Tiebreaker’ cocktail. A Champagne menu is available upon request. We can cater for a Vegan afternoon tea. All dietary requirements must be communicated to the restaurant within 48 hours of the reservation in order for us to cater for allergens and special requests.

    Lots of places in the west end- pass on this one. Arrived for dinner before book of mormon with my 18 year old son. We don't fit the mold of fine dining folks. Service was oft putting. Food was medicore and over priced.

    Simply beautiful! The restaurant is gorgeous and we were amazingly taken care of for the entire experience. We had the three course set menu with a glass of champagne and it was amazing value! The food was delicious and I had the BEST gnocchi I’ve ever had!! Highly recommended, especially if you are going to Her Majesty’s Theatre - literally across the street!

    The rye bread was the smallest I had ever seen. Tasted great but very small portions. Also no toast with full English and we were not asked if we would have wanted any.

    The manger was great, he made everything right but the wait staff was horrible, other than taking our order and bringing us our food, which they got wrong, not a single person checked on us! They completely forgot about us, would walk by our table and make zero eye contact! We didn’t get an item we ordered and too even get our check I had to go ask the greeter to speak to her boss! We noticed we were the only ones in the restaurant being treated that way which made it seam like they singled us out! The manger I spoke to was great and made everything right but his staff was awful!

    Charming young staff who were professional, friendly and efficient. Lovely surroundings, no loud music to kill the conversation and we felt under no pressure to leave once we had finished eating. We had the set menu which was delicious and decent value considering quality and location. Absolutely excellent all round.

    Love the ambience, good service ,full with pre theatre diners. Nice corner table .The lamb shank was fine . Could have done with more attention , garnish ,flavour . Pesto doesn't really go with lamb

    My partner was gifted an afternoon tea for his 50th birthday. The decor, ambience and staff at The Haymarket Hotel were lovely. The afternoon tea was absolutely delightful. We will definitely return and recommend the hotel to friends. Thank you. 🙂

    Good quality food but the portions are small and expensive. Mostly convenient since it's within walking distance to many theaters.

    Won't be going there again. Very slow service for what was overly priced food and drink - £24 for a piece of chicken breast with no accompaniments and £10 for a non-alcoholic cocktail!

    We visited the Brumus Bar late afternoon/early evening on a Thursday prior to our theatre booking. It was quiet, our table was ready and our reception friendly. We tried three different cocktails (one each) all of which were 'delicious. We had a burger, the salmon and a chicken Caesar washed down by a bottle of a very nice chilled (and left in an ice bucket) white wine; all very pleasant. Our service was attentive with regular visits to our table during a period in which the bar was becoming busier and nosier. (We even had a small, unexpected birthday cake, fruit and candle presented as it was a birthday treat for two of our party.) In the bar there was a party of some 5/6/7 people, various groups and couples all being looked after well. We had booked but some appeared as if they hadn't, were made welcome and tables found. If there was room available at the bar, that was offered too. We would certainly consider returning and perhaps dining in the restaurant on our next visit. All in all, a great pre-theatre venue. Thank You.

    My friend & I enjoyed a relaxed lunch prior to our visit across the road to see Phantom of the Opera. The staff were helpful & the food very good as was the champagne!

    Lovely, lovely food and super friendly staff who were pretty attentive. The bar staff did appear to forget about moving us from the bar to the restaurant area and I did need to remind them a couple of times on this but beyond that all staff were super friendly. The decor is of high quality too and really helped create a chilled ambience. Great location too. I hope we go back.

    Valentines evening before a show , we had the two course set menu, which was perfect for us. Soup and salad starter very nice , my fiancé and me both had the steak on offer, it was delicious! The glass of bubbly included was a complete bonus and polished it off very nice indeed. Gladly go back in fact we plan too…

    Service was excellent, food was good but very pricey for what you get. Also a bottle of water cost more than getting a pint in a pub which baffled me but there you go.

    We we’re celebrating my birthday and had a fabulous time from beginning to end. The waiting and bar staff were charming and I really felt as if we were valued customers. The food was delicious.

    Theatre Service and ambience great Food very disappointing. Soup was tasteless and no bread offered to the table Steak was chewy and came with nothing extra so chips etc were on top making the fixed price menu expensive Shame as location service and ambience good

    Our second visit , this one post covid and new refurbishment. Warm and cosy and ideally located for the theatres around. Just one main course ( Calves Liver ) cooked perfectly as we asked . Then puddings that were top notch . Drinks could have been served earlier and the red a tad too warm ( probably kept behind the bar ) Prompt service, relaxed

    We ordered the two course set menu with a side order of chips. The food wasn’t great however our waiter went above and beyond to rectify this. We received complimentary puddings which were to die for! Overall a nice experience.
