Cafe Juanita features Executive Chef and Owner Holly Smith's award winning Northern Italian cuisine prepared using the freshest Northwest ingredients and complimented by an award-winning wine list.
Cafe Juanita serves prix-fixe multi-course tasting menus with optional wine pairings, and many other tempting possibilities to embellish your meal. Current menus can be viewed at www.cafejuanita.com. We are happy to modify dishes for dietary restrictions; please advise when making reservations. We offer four tasting menus from which you may choose: omnivore, pescatarian, vegetarian, and vegan, ranging in price per person from $150-$190. We have a supplemental a la carte menu, and tasting menu items can also be ordered a la carte.

    I was excited to try out the tasting menu concept. Though I’ve had the great privilege to eat at Cafe Juanita multiple times, I got to try more dishes. I always arrived intending to try other things but ended up getting the foie gras and the rabbit as they were so good Well, the food blew my mind. The foie gras was amazing as usual. The croccante was not what I expected in presentation but it was stunning. The risotto was literally the best risotto I've ever eaten. I was intrigued by the tajarin as there's nowhere to hide with such simplicity and again the genius of your cooking made it so delicious. The Iberia presa was packed with flavour and I loved all the accompaniments. Another stunning meal backed up by great knowledgable service

    We have been wanting to try Cafe Juanita for years as adults as we both grew up in Kirkland. We were never able to secure a reservation so excited we were finally able to give it a try! It was a lovely experience! My favorite was the special wine pairing from Northern Italy!

    What can I say that hasn't already been said by many others? Everything is perfect, food, service, surroundings. These dishes are meant to be savored and you are not hurried through them. The ONLY caution I offer is they do tell you up front there's a 4% charge for the back of house staff, but there isn't an included one for the front. Which may be a little different than somewhere like say the Herbfarm. So remember to tip well! The 4% charge is called out and listed, then included with Sales Tax as "total taxes" so it can be a little confusing depending on how much of a food and drink stupor you are in!!

    Exceptional anniversary meal for our first time at Cafe Juanita. The pescatarian tasting menu was well-balanced and packed with flavor. A playful presentation for each dish made it exciting to anticipate - from the yellowtail cruda with avocado, garam shallots and pumpernickel crisps, to the sweet corn risotto with blackberries and 30-month old Parmigiana-Reggiano, to the heirloom tomatoes with avocado and squash blossom fritter. My favorite dish by far was the olive oil poached Alaskan halibut with eggplant, cherry tomatoes and olives - the halibut melted in my mouth and the preparation of the eggplant was bright and delicious. The server was attentive and detail-oriented as she noticed I didn't touch one of the amuses-bouches and brought over another thing for me to try instead. Nice touch! The only sour note was the louder than expected conversation from the table of four nearby, who were less than gracious. First-rate dinner, attentive service - highly recommend.

    A wonderfully holistic dining experience. My wife and I, celebrating her birthday, both ordered the pescatarian tasting menu and could not have been more pleased. The food: freshest of local seasonal offerings; unique and creative combinations of ingredients; and all exquisitely presented. Our primary server, Kristen, is an eighteen year veteran of Cafe Juanita. Her charm and grace were a perfect complement to each and every course. The kitchen and dining room are afoot with with a staff who not only know their responsibilities, but attentively carry forth with an air displaying gratitude you have chosen to dine with us at Cafe Juanita. Kudos to Holly Smith and her team. A simply perfect evening! Thank you.
