Cafe La Haye
Lively atmosphere, great people, food and wine!!
It was just ok. Limited to no menu selections for those with food allergies- especially salads!!! Nothing without cheese or onions and not too creative or open to make accommodations.
Keep going back to Cafe La Haye because of the food and service. Have never been disappointed; always exceptional. Our server Esther was friendly and attentive, never intrusive. This team knows how to treat their customers. We’ll go back again and again!
We haven't had a meal this good in literally years! Everything was outstanding. We had the little gem salad, beet/orange salad, scallops, and two amazing desserts...the lemon cheesecake and the chocolate cake. I can't think of anybody in Sonoma or even Kenwood that can be so consistently good.
Saul, the owner, came by a couple of times (not at all intrusive) to say hi and he hoped everything was good.
My only minor (very minor) concern was that the coffee was $5 and served in a small cup. Of course we could get refills but that didn't fit with how everything else was.
They serve delicious bread only if you ask but that was OK.
Highly recommend Cafe LaHaye! We're locals and this will be our go-to restaurant especially for special occasions.
Another wonderful evening at La Haye. A flavorful soup to start, incredibly tasty double cut pork chop and filet mignon - perfectly prepared. And an equally amazing chocolate dessert. Great service, too. Short but sharply focused wine lust at very fair prices. All presided over by a hospitable and gracious owner. It’s always worth a visit!
We did an early Valentines dinner. My wife had the risotto which was rich and had a hint of truffle oil and she loved it. I did the pork chop with a potato cake as a side. The pork chop had a wonderful seasoning that had a nice bite to it and it was cooked perfectly. Great atmosphere and a good vibe. This is a true Sonoma gem.
Great food - great wine!
Another outstanding meal and service. Saul runs a tight ship and was very accommodating.
Outstanding Uncomplicated Menu,
Low Key local ambiance,
And Wonderful Memories of Our Early Valentines Dinner ❤️
We love coming to Cafe La Haye whenever we can as the food is innovative and delicious, the service is efficient and friendly and the experience is always great. It's a marvel what comes out of that small kitchen! This night i couldn't resist the sausage and spinach lingini dish and my husband had the wonderful pork chop. We started with the curry and coconut milk mussels and the beef carpaccio with the fried oysters. What a lovely dinner! This is our neighborhood favorite especially with Esther as our server and Saul at the front door!
Everything is spectacular. The best place to dine in Sonoma.
Great birthday celebration. Very romantic. Great service. Completely unpretentious. Food was superb
Not to be missed when in Sonoma. A true staple of the community and never disappoints. Incredible food, great wine, and amazing atmosphere. Could not give a higher recommendation.
Excellent food, minimal service, lovely room, atmosphere, decor. It feels welcoming but not overly attentive which is refreshing.
Cozy, intimate place. Limited menu and great food! Owner so warm and welcoming. Our service was outstanding. Looking forward to visiting again soon!
After 23 years, Cafe La Haye is better than ever. The room is simple but lovely and right off the Sonoma Square. The owner greets you every time and is a wonderful host.
A 10 for sure! Amazing food, service and atmosphere. Highly recommended
Great spot and the food was amazing as always. Great service as well.
Awesome little gem in Sonoma! Will go there again. They are probably close to a Michelin star with amazing food and outstanding service
My husband and I celebrated his birthday at Cafe La Haye and were thrilled with the experience. Everyone made us feel welcomed and the service was stellar. The food was delicious and artistically presented. We feel confident recommending this restaurant to friends and will return whenever we are in Sonoma.
We love this restaurant! Delicious food. Friendly staff. Nice ambiance!
Excellent service, amazing food! We had a fist class experience. Absolutely a must to eat at when in Sonoma. The Soy Glaze Pork Chop was absolutely delightful.
One of the best restaurants we've been to in several years. Complete package!
Saul the owner runs a top rate restaurant, always makes people feel welcome! The restaurant atmosphere is cozy and romantic. The food is carefully and deliciously prepared. Extensive wine list, truly a gem here in our little town of Sonoma.
Food was great. Service very attentive without being intrusive. We showed up early for our reservation but we’re still accommodated and given a nice table. We’d definitely go again!
Very nice place!
Polite & careful treatment of his diners, plus attention to detail, great service and delicious food resulted in a wonderful evening.
Café la Haye never disappoints and almost always amazes. The hospitality is peerless, as is the service. The food is absolutely first-rate, with never even a minor slip-up. As a regular patron, I continue to be impressed and amazed at the service. Was bringing a friend who is a strict vegan for dinner and gave the restaurant the "heads-up"...but expected we would just order judiciously off of the menu. Nope! They had prepared a special vegan entrée specifically for our party. It was absolutely delicious and my friend could not have felt more well taken care for. Major kudos.
We've been going to CLH regularly since moving to Sonoma 11 years ago. To me, it was the best restaurant in Sonoma then and it is still today. A farm fresh little gem right off Sonoma Square. Don't miss it.
Always good, great for special occasions. Friendly staff, great wine choices, excellent food. Not easy to get in, plan ahead. Our favorite place in Sonoma for the last 20 years.
Best food in Sonoma. Consistently well done. Thoughtful wine list.
Very nice restaurant. A smallish menu, but very well executed. Nice wine list, too.
One of our favorite restaurants. Food and service are always excellent.
We definitely recommend it, only problem is that its not easy to get a reservation, very popular !
This is our favorite restaurant in Sonoma. The food is fresh, beautifully prepared and presented. All As!
An all time favorite! We’ve never been disappointed with the food or service at Cafe LaHaye. Although the menu is limited, there are always enough choices to satisfy any palate. We shall return !
I wanted to love Cafe LaHaye - the owner/manager could not be nicer and the setting, right off Sonoma square is great. It's a small, quiet restaurant with an interesting menu. But perhaps we just had the wrong night. Our waitress was somewhat oblivious to taking our order, getting drinks etc. The special salad - involving persimmons, greens, seeds and blue cheese - was overpowered by the cheese and the dressing. It was just one note. The house pasta is salty and overly buttery. The fish - a nice piece of sole, done well, was served with boring "smashed" potatoes and a teaspoon of kale. I just had higher hopes for the kitchen. Everything was perfectly tasty but nothing we had was "special." The wine list is interesting and features many small, local vineyards. I think we will give it another try for lunch but the first go-round was nice, quiet, pleasant and good. Just good.
One of the best restaurants I have ever visited. Everything was great, food is delicious and service is spectacular. Had a wonderful time!
