This restaurant and the food is just brilliant, amazing and nothing you probably find anywhere else. What Chef Ramirez and his team serve here is simply out of this world; looking directly into the kitchen while they prepare the dishes - in the most precise and calm and focused way I’ve ever seen - is like looking at a staged performance. Besides the food, service is super super nice, calm, friendly, discreet and highly skilled in their craft.

We celebrated our anniversary and had tasting menu with caviar and uni supplements. Te uni was Devine and the caviar was incredible. All the food was exquisite and the wine pairings were perfect and completely finished off each dish. I’m never going to forget that uni with a black truffle surprise. And Lindsey was a terrific server.

Overall amazing experience . However dessert didn’t match the overall food experience . There was a country fair style strawberry fluffy sorbet that was neither beautiful nor tasty. A really nice matcha cake that they gave my wife and I to share (would you give me half a cake if I were to dine alone ? ) and very very mediocre petit fours to end the dinner. Everything else however was spectacular food and service wise . Just the ambiance could be nicer. The kitchen isn’t very pretty to look at compared to other places and this still is in a supermarket .

Incredible dinner experience. Lasted ~2.5 hours with drink pairing. Courses leaned more into fish than red meat, and drink pairing matched, as majority of drink pairings were white wine. Yes, it was very expensive, but it’s New York City.

I do not think this restaurant would be honored with any Michelin star. Food was good but nothing i would call “experience” You can easily get same caliber food from any good restaurant. If you pay $800 plus per person, you expect way more. One other thing , people looking and paying this amount of money expect more in terms of ambiance and atmosphere. This restaurant is located inside of a grocery store and you get waited fully dressed inside the grocery store while other people shopping. Restrooms are also located inside the grocery store which you need to get out the restaurant and walk inside the grocery store and do business at the prefabricated restrooms. Also service team should now that wine ordered has to be served before first meal, we got our wines after second meal served. Also no way in the word 3 star Michelin restaurant tasting meal should include 4 course desert tasting out of 13-14. It made me feel like they were looking to impress with deserts . While deserts were very decent, who would want to eat 4 course of desert? That is non sense.

Portion is small compared to other 3 star Michelin restaurants. The chef put too much effort on the looking of the food, but ignored the taste. Some dishes tasted really salty.

Everything was perfection. Food was creative and tasty, the service was what you would expect in a restaurant of this caliber, efficient ,understated, and professional. The dining room was set up so every diner could watch the brigade of chefs prepare their food, which added to the experience. One of our best dining experiences ever and that’s high praise.

This is not my first time here but the service on Tuesday night was not satisfying. I wonder why the pace of our dishes was one-course slower than the majority, and the second dish wasn’t even served when the spoon for the third course came (happened twice). I still enjoy the food here but want some explanation for what I’ve experienced.

With three Michelin stars and a USD 400 per person menu, the expectations were of course sky high. It was a complete disappointment on all fronts -- unimaginative dishes, impersonal service that is upselling all the time and the continuous feeling you're in a factory that is trying to milk its three stars while it lasts. We have been to many 3* restaurants all over the world, and of course you will always like one better than another, but we never had a bad experience like here. The problem is that all of it is intentional -- what we've experienced was not the result of bad luck, it were simply management choices to milk the business. Let's start with the food. Until the main course, none of it is freshly made -- all that happens is assembly of pre-cooked ingredients, some heated in a steamer. None of the food is original -- we had everything elsewhere and better, and two days later I can hardly remember what we've eaten. Then the service. It is completely impersonal with different staff serving you all the time, rushing through the explanation of the dish and then moving on. As you are sitting on a long counter, it's a bit like having drones serve each party along the train, each drone saying the identical words to introduce each dish. They only take time to upsell you things. We were explained one dish was going to be so small that we really needed to order an extra portion at USD 56 each. We agreed, only to find out later the dish is not small at all (and also not that great). The wine list is very thin for a 3* place, and no sommelier around that actually knows anything. Our waiter recommended a certain bottle, only to find out later that they don't have the bottle. At the start they asked if we might want a glass of champagne, we said 'yes, what kind do you have'. He said "white and rose". 'Which is your white?' 'Er.... it's white'. He had to open the wine list to find out. In summary: avoid this place, it's a total waste of time and money.

am a huge foodie and I work for Michelin. This place has two too many stars. The service was horrible, it was rushed and we basically got kicked out at the 2 hour mark. Anyone that has been to a 2 start and up set menu, Michelin star restaurant knows 2 hours is not enough. Also when we told the server the seating felt rushed he argued with us and said we actually had 2:15 minutes. I wanted to go to the restroom and got told I could not go because desert was coming. If you want to feel rushed and eat a 12 course meal in 2 hours this is the place for you, it is "good" food, but definitely not and experience, and to pay $800 for food sans experience only deserves 1star. Don't go here, go to atera or per se instead. This place is not worth your money. Not to mention they could not even set the silverware right and didn’t let me finish the bottle of wine I ordered #skipthisplace

This was my 21st dinner at Chef’s Table at Brooklyn Fare and it was exquisite! The cuisine and service remain fabulous! There were several new delicious dishes (sugar snap peas tartlet; ramp custard; lamb chop; frozen strawberry soufflé) from my last dinner 7 weeks ago. I appreciate that Chef Ramirez continues to require both his FOH and BOH staffs to wear masks during service. I eagerly look forward to my next dinner at CTBF!

A truly unique experience - starting with a speak-easy like entrance through a corner market before stepping into the oasis of the elegant and intimate dining room. And that’s just a warm up for an unparalleled dining experience where the depth of labors and presentation is made even better with the theatre of watching the chef staff flawlessly prepare more than a dozen courses all within view of your seat. The menu is with high quality, but too pricy comparing to others. The first two bites were amazing, and the fishes and lamb are just ok. The uni is not as fresh/sweet as the Hokaido unis, and the heavy scent of truffle also covered the original taste of uni. The bean sprout under the lamb was too old (the best season to eat bean sprout is Jan but now end of March). The dessert is very creative.
