Contemporary Indian
Cinnamon Bazaar is the latest restaurant & cocktail bar from Vivek Singh's range of Cinnamon restaurants, situated in London’s Covent Garden.

We are a dining concept that mixes real Indian heritage with urban London, and our menus have been inspired by the marketplaces that lie on the trading routes that connect the empires of the Old World.

The cross-cultural dining experience embraces the democratic spirit of a bazaar, making us a real cultural melting pot – the perfect place to eat, drink, relax and celebrate.

Our private dining room, the Khari Baoli, is situated on the first floor above the hustle & bustle of the restaurant, and can accommodate 12 – 30 guests in this picturesque dining room, featuring its very own private bar. It is a real democratic place for people to meet, eat, drink, exchange ideas, work and celebrate.

Ambience was good. Happy with the quick service. However, food did not live up to our expectations. Portion sizes were very small. We ordered 5 naans with our curries out of which 3 were burnt. Mango lassi did not taste of mango. We found the food to be costly for average tasting Indian dishes.

My absolute favourite restaurant is Cinnamon Club in Westminster. Everything about it is superb - food, service, ambiance, cocktails... Cinnamon Bazaar provides much of this on a tighter budget. Great service, delicious cocktails and yummy food. Obviously as this is a cheaper venue the decor has to take a hit but this is perfect for a chilled evening out with friends or a fun first date.

Waiters were friendly but it took a long time for someone to take our order, then they brought our starters but forgot our drinks so we had to ask for them again. The place was not relaxing and the table we had was on the end of a row (tables very close together) so the waiters knocked my coat off my seat, so I put it away, then my cardigan was knocked off, then a waiter bumped my head with a tray! The food was tasty and it’s really the only reason I might go back.

Great vibe, good location. Food seems a little on the pricier end and with limited vegetarian options in the 'Bazaar Plate' menu.

We had a wonderful time sharing a lot of different starters and mains, including the really yummy pork belly, shepherd’s pie, biryani, and refreshing drinks. Special thanks to Giedrius for being so helpful and quick!

I eat here whenever I am in London, and cannot recommend it highly enough. The staff are friendly, helpful, polite and efficient; nothing is too much trouble for them. The food is of a very high quality, exceptionally tasty and beautifully presented. The prices are very good value for money when you consider the quality of the service and food. If you are not sure what you want - just ask the staff and they will help you choose. If you try here I am sure you will enjoy it :)

We were at the restaurant for the first time. Based on the recommendation of the waiter we shared several dishes. We were a group of four and so it was possible to try a lot of different dishes. The food was quite spicy but very good and also the deserts were delicious. The service was very good, the waiters were around all the time and were very helpful and attentive.

The Chaat dishes are excellent as were the desserts. Overall well spiced and tasty. The only dish I wasn’t keen on was the aubergine. I think there needs to be one more vegetarian main or side dish on the menu

You should try this swinging Indian restaurant: you will be amazed by the colors of the place first, and by the ones of the plates later. Beware of spiciness!

We (family w/2 kids) were really looking forward to this, and first impression was good. Informal ambience with music, staff was ok, and starters were very good.
However. When the mains came, only one out of four dishes was edible (the rogan josh Shepherd’s pie - bit blend, but fine). The rest were spicy beyond ...well. (And we do eat a lot of Indian food). So: 1) Nobody asked/warned us about the spice level beforehand. 2) as soon as the mains were on the table, the waiters were gone. Disappeared. Never came by to ask how the food was or if we needed anything else. 3) Finally, someone appeared (they had been at the bar) and started to clear the table. Didn’t wonder why most of the food was still on the plates, and when I subtly mentioned that it was way too hot and asked for some naan or joghurt, he bluntly said that the kitchen was about to close. I get that it’s been a long day and you want to end your shift, but come on: Don’t show customers that you really don’t give a damn like this. Don’t let people book a post-theatre table at 10 pm on a Friday if you’re not able to follow through on food and basic service. Our night ended on a low - ripped off for £160 (we went for a curry afterwards).
Sad thing is: The starters were really promising, and I suspect this place can whip up some pretty good food on a good day. But this made for our worst dining experience in London.

Amazing food and service. I took a new client with to dine, and they were very impressed by the quialty and flavour of the food. Having eaten in many of the London Michellin starred Indian restuarants, we discussed that your food is as good if not better! You did a wonderful job once again Cinnamon Bazaar - thank you very much!! See you again soon :)

We had the pre-theatre menu which was phenomenal value for money. £24 for 3 courses including a Bellini- I really don’t know how they do it. The food was scrumptious & very authentic. Each course was delicious. Highly recommend this place & will certainly come again. Delicious!!

Authentic Indian street food of high quality, served innovatively and with a smile. The food choices are an excellent representation of the diverse cuisine and highly recommended for a meal with friends or even a business meal, as the place is relatively quieter than others around for lunch

While the food is very good, the prices for some items are outrageous! £9.75 for half a dozen tiny pieces of grilled aubergine? You're having a laugh! And £10.75 for a couple of pieces of tandoori cauliflower. Appalling.

Great ambiance
Had high expectations for food having been to cinnamon club for various occasions.
Food was at best fair - fish curry very disappointing.
Noise level was very high - we were a party of 5 celebrating a 77th birthday (booked in advance with this info) - a group of around 15 with small children running, shouting and throwing food brought the rating down to a local fast food joint.
Service was terrible; the waiter was very polite but kept on forgetting various items ordered. No waiters were around to order more food. The bill was overcharged. We had to get that rectified.

The restaurant is well decorated and the food was pretty good. The food was good but not authentic indian. Some of the dishes lacked flavour and spice while others were quite good. We enjoyed the chaats and the duck curry. Unfortunately, it was difficult to enjoy our meal because there was a table of ten people next to us who had obviously been drinking and were VERY loud, singing songs and shouting for the whole time we were there. The prices reflect that of an upscale restaurant however the atmosphere was more a drunken pub scene. Not sure I would re-visit.

What a great choice this was for a business lunch. We chose the chaat menu, which offered unlimited quantities of vegetarian Indian street snacks, plus a pot of masala chai. The presentation and quality of the food were both excellent. Everything tasted delicious and, as far as we could tell, properly authentic. The chai, which came in a quirky little painted teapot, was also very good. Refills and top-ups were provided on request until we were fully replete. And the cost of this blow-out? Ten pounds each! It has to be one of the best bargains in the West End.

Service was prompt and friendly without being obtrusive, and the dining room itself is beautifully decorated. It was also almost empty - a crying shame, given how good a place this is, but also the perfect setting for a confidential business discussion. Strongly recommended for a good-value taste of India in a styish and central setting.
