Love the atmosphere but the service was pretty bad and the food wasn't great. I was disappointed because I really enjoyed it the first time I visit. However, this visit was underwhelming.

Our experience was nothing short of great. We were greeted nicely, shown to a well lit table in a section that was not too loud. Our server, Josie, was attentive and very sweet. She brought and refilled drinks ( they have an innumerable drink menu), took our orders correctly, and checked on us frequently. I asked for their Gluten free menu, which I had seen online, and she brought it expediently. {A SHOUT OUT to whomever made the decision to be an extremely GF friendly restaurant....They have quite a few GF options in each category of appetizers, entrees, salads, and sides} When asked for more condiments she brought them in short order - by herself. Our appetizer, ten spice wings, was fabulous. It was flavorful, not greasy at all, and a good portion for two. My husband ordered a salmon flatbread, and very much enjoyed the flavor of the salmon, cream cheese, capers, and onions. His only critique was that the crust was a bit thick and chewy, more like a pizza dough than a flatbread. My Tandoori chicken entree was well cooked and served with both a savory and sweet side, so appealed to all of my tastebuds...overall a wonderful experience, and we will be back (likely for an ATL United game as they are a watch partner!)

It was pretty crowded. We arrived without a reservation and were told by the hostess that it would be an hour wait. We left, went to another bar to have a drink, and I went on Open Table and discovered that I could make a reservation for 20 minutes. We then returned and the hostess told us that a table was being cleared and could we wait to the side. We stood nearby for about 10 minutes before she remembered we were there. She then sat us.

We sat at the table for easily another 10 minutes before a server approached us. Our server was decent but obviously overloaded with tables because her check-ins were scarce.

The food was actually pretty good. Our only complaint would be that everything was a little overpriced.

I think we’ll give this place a second chance. We just hope that things are better next time.

My experience at City Tap was fantastic. Our server Jody was just lovely. I have served in everything from corporate to fine dining for 12 years and I thought she was very engaging and informative. My boyfriend definitely enjoyed his burger but the real value was in the PILE of mussels I got for $17. Not to mention they gave me a nice industry discount as well. I was quite familiar with Gordon Biersch that occupied the space previously and the renovation for City Tap is beautiful. I highly recommend this spot for bite to eat and great drink in Midtown!

A good place before Fox shows. Friendly staff, good service. Don’t think food and drink were a great value. I got the tandoori kabobs and the chicken was well, well done. The other items made it edible but barely. Pork wings sound great, but you only get 2. 3 people with 2 drinking over $150 with tip.

We were a party of 12. Everyone tried different things and it seems everyone enjoyed what they ordered. We all want to come back and try other things. I had the black bean burger with a salad and they were delicious. The place was very noisy but it was Friday evening. People agreed they need some tapestries or carpets to reduce the noise level. The server was excellent. He was friendly and attentive. Overall a positive group dining experience. We'll be back.

Party of 5 living nearby happy to have this space active again. Sadly won't be back, outrageous loud, awful DJ music at dinner hour on a Wednesday night ruined the entire evening. We had to scream to have any conversation, then we order and told no muscles, which 3 of us wanted, but no one bothered to tell us until we orderd. etc... Overall poor service, awful atmosphere, but if that is okay, the food is decent, but overpriced for the poor overall experience.

Eclectic menu. Slightly pricey for portions. Server was attentive but not always in the right ways. It’s awkward to have a place that sells a lot of beer but not brew it and not promote local breweries since they took over a micro brewery spot. Overall it was spacious and nice. Probably will be loud when full. Food was good. Would go again.

Hopefully CTH is working out opening issues. We asked for a booth as all but 1 were empty but were told they were reserved even though we had a reservation. When we left an hour later, half were still open. Our server was super friendly but may need a bit more training on attentiveness to refilling water and drinks. The food was a bit salty. I would recommend the corn hush puppies. Bill was $100 for two so not the most inexpensive option around.

This was my first time coming to the restaurant and it was such a pleasant experience that I was already planning my next visit before finishing my meal. The staff were very personable and accommodating. They made sure we had everything we needed and made sure we were content with the meal and the total visit. I love it when mangers/owners are at the establishment and make their rounds asking everyone how the meal is going. We had several people come to the table to make sure everything was going well.

The food was also very good. I wasn't quite sure what to get but was glad when the waitress told me about the top menu items. I chose the Big Chick. It was so good, seasoned very well, and it was very filling. My table split the Blue Crab Mac and Cheese and that was delicious as well. We even convinced the table next to us to try it and they love it too.

I will definitely be back. Another bonus in the area is that the restaurant offers free parking.

We came to check out City Tap as we live close by and just wanted to try out a new place for dinner. It did not disappoint, considering that they just opened, we were very impressed how well everything is handled. Friendly staff, delicious food, good service. The menu had a lot of options from various appetizers and mains to pizza and salads. We shared a bunch of stuff like corn dip, short rib tacos, pepperoni pizza and the apple Gouda salad. Everything was excellent, good flavors and perfect for sharing. To top it off we got the chocolate cheesecake with raspberry - it was really delicious! The beer list is long and they rotate their taps and they also let you sample. Aside from the beer, they have a large beverage selection in general. We are excited to have this place in midtown and will be back!

City Tap is new to the Atlanta restaurant scene. The thing I enjoyed the most was the beer. So many different beers to choose from and keep the mind wondering. If you’re a beer lover (local or not) this is a great place! The food is also super good!! I had the short rib fried rice and it was cooked to perfection. Highly recommend City Tap Atlanta.

This was the very worst dining experience I have had in Atlanta. We got there at 700(our reservations were at 7:15, we were seated at 745. The attitude from the host was horrible. Be said he really did not care about open table reservations we would be seated when he got a table. We're could leave or wait. Since it was a sat night and er had parked 2 c cars with their valet service(which was horrible too), we decided to wait. Huge mistake. Our waitress Chris, after about 10 min finally came over to take our drink and app order. Well that was the last time we saw Cris. The manager and the host decided to seat a "VIP" party of 9 at the same time. Finally after waiting another 10 min went and asked for the manager. He grudgingly said he would assign another waitress. Waited another 10 min and finally a supervisor from their Nashville branch came over to take our order. She was nice but the damage had been done. We ordered and the food arrived. It was horrible. Not one fifth a party of 5 ordered was even satisfactory. This place needs to be shut down again. DON'T GO FOR ANY REASON. HORRIBLE.

Great food and the energy level was great; lots of TV's with lots of sports on them to watch the games. We have the Pretzels which were awesome, warm up the cheese next time. The steak special was incredibly tender and fresh; excellent service and selection of local beers. Make a reservation or you might have a lengthy wait

Visited the first week they were open. So there were some issues that will probably be worked out as time progresses. For example: we mad a reservation but that turned out to be useless as we waited approx 3o min to be seated. And the Table servers were confused as to where the food went & who ordered what.

My family visited as a party of 6 on a Saturday night. Got seated on time for our reservation. We all ordered a beer and our meals at the same time, which I recommend doing. It took the drinks at least 15 minutes to get to the table and some of them were warm. Once the beers came out the food also took 20 minutes. We made a reservation at 6pm and finished everything including two desserts by 7:30. The food was delicious!! The only other issue was the noise level. It is a very open floor plan so all conversations carried across the room. It was also almost $200 for 6 people. So with everything I would still recommend a visit but definitely not a frequent customer.
