Clipper Lounge - Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong
Clipper Lounge has a timelessly elegant feel with mink, taupe and mandarin furnishings enhanced with subtle Oriental accents.
While popular for breakfast and dinner buffets, as well as our Sunday champagne brunch Hong Kong locals love, Clipper Lounge is best known for afternoon tea. Elegantly presented, the spread includes delicacies such as finger sandwiches, sweets, scones and our signature homemade rose-petal jam. We also offer extremely popular seasonal themed teas.
Brilliant free flow brunch would highly recommend!!
Food was pretty terrible for the price you pay
very good!
Order took long and when done it was missing items and cold
It is always a pleasure to come back here! Everything is good and the food is very tasty. Nice choice for wines and champagnes. Hope to stay here soon. If you’re in Hong Kong you must come for this fantastic buffet!
Excellent service, but very standard and boring buffet options
A very nice place to have an extra nice meal out in Hong Kong. The selection and quality of items (in particular...the seafood) on the Dinner Buffet was more than satisfying and the service was wonderful. Will definitely go back the next time we are in the area.
Excellent seafood and service. Save room for the dessert!
Afternoon tea at the Clipper Lounge was decadent! The rose petal jam, a signature of the Mandarin Oriental, is not to be missed.
Tutto perfetto.
Found the lounge by googling. Many people recommended me to go have a afternoon tea.
It was nice to have warm scones and Chinese tea. But sandwiches were a bit staled after a while tho.
However I have enjoyed the atmosphere, had my own time fully.
It was very noisy, the staff talked with customer loudly (I think they are friends). At least three of staff were surrounding that customer. When I wanted to make order, sorry, no staff. They were laughing with their friend.
We had a lovely afternoon tea at Clipper Lounge, the staff were courteous and helpful, and the atmosphere pleasant without being too stuffy or over-the-top. The tea selection was large and the staff able to make good recommendations. The afternoon tea itself was lovely, with a nice selection of sandwiches and also small hot croque monsieur, which was a nice touch. The pastries were beautiful; both in taste and appearance and the scones served hot with lots of clotted cream and gorgeous jam/preserve. Definite recommendation for this part of Hong Kong, came to about £60GBP for two people, and well worth it.
