                                                                                                                                  I rarely review restaurants but this is one experience that was necessary to post about. The restaurant is very warm, welcoming, and beautifully set / maintained. Unfortunately, I wish I could say the same for the staff. They unfortunately, in my opinion, lacked the human element of friendliness / welcoming hospitality. Given this being an Indian restaurant, there is a type of hospitality that is present. Typically warm, gentle, and most of all friendly. Food concept was unique, but highly inedible. My spice tolerance is quite high compared to the typical spice level offered, however we ordered a mild spice level due to the sole dietary request that was asked about. Overall, we felt rushed, unwelcome, and an utter inconvenience for the staff. Most likely not going to go back again.

We came for Mother’s Day and were seated in a booth. Intimate restaurant with great ambiance and small bar area. We had the samosas, eggplant & potato chaat, lamb saag, masala pasta, tandoori branzino, and all were very impressive. For dessert, the pistachio cake and lemon coconut cheesecake, delicious!!! I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. We have plenty of amazing indian style restaurants in montgomery county, but we still drove 40 min to eat here and it was well we’ll worth it!

Overall, would much rather eat at a more traditional restaurant: prices were very high, but quality of food did not reflect the price.

The food was mediocre. The price point did not match the quality nor the portion. The service was the worst part of our dining experience. The service staff seemed to be lost and confused as to what they needed to do. They cleared our appetizer plates and gave us new dinner plates and utensils. They passed out the dinner plates but piled (pretty much threw) the utensils down on the last persons' plate for him to give out. When serving our entrees, the server's thumb was dipped into each of our meals. We mentioned it to the manager as the last dish was being served so he took the only the last dish back to be remade. It was then served with gloves. We ordered 1 butter naan and 1 garlic naan but we were served 2 garlic naan. Not a big deal, but we mentioned it to our server. He looked confused and came back with a third garlic naan. We had to let the manager know and he said we can keep the naans and he'll bring us the butter naan free of charge. Then he took the 3rd garlic naan back with him. So overall, price point was too high for the quality of food and the service was buffet style quality. We expected more from an upscale restaurant in Columbia.

                                                                                                                                  Clove & Cardamom may be tough for those who are hard-of-hearing. It is cavernous and all the noise is amplified. While the servers were very professional, it took them a very long time to get to our table to get our drink order, our food, and our check. They are a new restaurant, and it is only fair to give them some time to get into the service routine, though. The food was great!

We tried the cauliflower 65000 bites asking about the heat level and were assured that the heat level had been brought down after many complaints and still inedible for us. The chili shrimp had my friend an upset stomach; clearly we can't handle the heat level they offer. The Bollywood fries were yummy though. It's a small restaurant and the closeness of patrons tables was uncomfortable for me during a pandemic so I do not plan to return.

They allowed a patrin w a lap dog to come in and sut at the bar while I was having dinner. I'm allergic to dogs and identified this n my concern. He wasn't immediately asked to leave. The fact he was let into the enclosed restaurant is a sign that management needs to reevaluate their guidelines abd training!!!!!

Its a small restaurant so there could be a wait for tables as some guests were obviously enjoying the ambiance I would come again and would recommend this restaurant.

Loved my mule drink, my girls had smoothies they loved the kids pizza, for appetizers r we got the tandoori wings and eggplant potato chat it was amazing! For entree we got the buttered chicken and the lamb shank both delicious! Dessert was yummy the mango lassi, mini cheesecake and chocolate cake! The atmosphere is really nice and clean! I give it 5 stars.

                                                                                                                                  I decided to bring my family here for a nice delicious lunch. I did a random Open Table search and found this restaurant. I'm glad I chose to eat here. Jeeva (sp) was an awesome host. He explained everything to us about the various dishes and my son enjoyed the wonderful mango and pineapple drink (it was very tasty). We ordered several small plates and in honesty, they were quite fulfilling...I didn't start or finish my samosas. The chili shrimp had a wonderful aroma to match the delicious taste. Just the right amount of heat and a wonderful flavor. The wings and crab cake were equally delightful. My son had the lamb as an entree and the meat was so tender it actually fell off of the bone. I enjoyed the lobster in a delicious curry sauce....so flavorful. And yes, even with all the leftovers, I still took home a slice of pistachio cake.

Nice ambiance, hip vibe, wide range of adult beverage choices, friendly and helpful service and the food was truly delish. Enjoy the spicy (but not overly so) and save room for dessert!

                                                                                                                                  We used OpenTable to make dinner reservations. When we arrived to the restaurant our reservation was not noted with the host. Apparently this restaurant uses a paper system vs an electronic system and reservations made after 2pm the day of are not honored. We were able to be seated after being put on a waitlist with several others who had the same issue. The food was good but overall operations needs some improvements. If there is a cutoff for reservations the restaurant needs to turn off the ability to make reservations after that time on OpenTable.

We also celebrated my nephew's 14th birthday. I really enjoyed it. The food was great and the drinks were delicious. The restaurant is small so I would advise making a reservation versus walking in. The service was ok but I think it was because they were very busy due to restaurant week. I would definitely go again.,

Space is very nice - modern, but not sterile. Ample distance between tables. Nice booths for parties of 5-6. Food was mostly excellent, although a couple of dishes were only average. Lamb is particularly good. Menu has considerable variety, and portions are generous.

We love the owner's other restaurant - Rangoli, so we went in with high expectations. The ambience is great. We are vegetarians - there was enough on the menu, though there could've been more. Some of the dishes were really great - we loved Cauliflower 65000.

We have been 3 times now and have taken out of town guests and family visiting. The menu is Indian but with fusion and creative dishes that we love! Favorites include the paneer street tacos, the samosa chaat pizza, and the masala Alfredo pasta! The paneer tikka masala is more traditional but delicious - a hit with our kids as well. The naan was moist, very well made. The strawberry mango lassi is a favorite with the kids and we have enjoyed the Indian themed cocktails. The staff are very polite and accommodating, though some days seem a bit short staffed. This will be a regular for us!
