Connie and Ted's
Enjoy one (or two) of 24 California craft beers on tap, while sampling from our large variety of oysters, clams and shellfish, shucked to order, at our Raw Bar. Wind down the day with a classic cocktail at the bar, or enjoy a warm lobster roll outside on the covered, open-air patio overlooking Santa Monica Boulevard.
Connie and Ted’s is a charming and lively place that just happens to have serious seafood. Highly recommended.
$29 for fried clam bellies - clams were overdone and the dish was 25% clams and 75% french fries. Extremely overpriced for what we were served. Definitely would not order that again. Questionable as to whether or not we will return.
This is the second time we’ve dined at Connie & Ted’s - in LA on business. Both times were great. Food reliably good, atmosphere conversational & service appropriately friendly & attentive. Will go for a third the next time we’re out here from NYC!
Mom’s birthday. Great dinner.
We hadn't been here in over a year. The last time was good, but really noisy. This time, which was for a friend's birthday dinner, was just as good, but a little less noisy. Both my partner and the birthday boy had the boiled dinner, which they loved, and I had the clam strips (my favorite) which were to die for. Great service! We definitely won't wait another year before returning.
Great food. Great service.
Return visit was as good as the first time. Yummy oysters, lobster rolls, hot buttered rolls, and chicken sandwich. They have this great fresh ginger juice plus spirits which is divine! We enjoyed Ethan and were happy to see our server from our first visit Janet. She was phenomenal! She remembered us and bought us dessert. So kind! This is our go to in LA for great fresh seafood and delicious sides and drinks at an affordable price.
We celebrated two birthdays and it was fantastic!
Fun place, nice for casual meal and socially energetic vibe. Food was ok, Lobster was $65 for 1.5 lbs and barely any meat. Peeled chilled shrimp were very small for the price. Everything tasted good though. Service was very good and friendly
My third time there and first time I found the service dismissive. I felt we were on her schedule. We said bring the food as it’s ready but oysters coming third course is not ok.
It was great and the sword fish was delicious.
The food was great and so was service. Would definitely return next time in LA
I keep giving this restaurant a chance because I love the atmosphere, but the food is always excessively bland. It has never improved. A totally dull eating experience.
Great seafood but thought the side of onion rings were a little greasy on the stomach.
Excellent choice for seafood in West Hollywood
Always a great meal here, always freshest quality seafood here. Never disappoints
Have been here numerous times before, but it had been awhile. Food was better than ever, but it was noisier than I remembered. My husband, sitting across the table from me, had to shout.
Great food! Lovely server let us stay as long as we needed to catch up. The prices are a little high, but the food is great and that Indian pudding was delicious.
Always good always fun
Food was great. Wasn’t so much into the special side of squash but everything else was perfect, except the chowder but I’m picky. And those rolls! So good. Drinks were strong. Prices are high. And we had a reservation but they sat us at this high table that wasn’t ideal. Servers were friendly. I walked out of there happy and stuffed
Service was poor at best. Nice server but probably had to many tables.
Food was very good but spoilt by the slow service and apparent lack of interest in serving our table. A smile would have helped!
Really a bad server sat at the counter. Very expensive dinner for not really good food this time
Even though we were there at our reservation time, and they were at only about 30% capacity, we were told we'd have to wait for a table. It took them 20 minutes to get us to our table even though no one else had been seated during that time.
Great meal! Great service!
Everything was delicious! One of our very favorite places
The food was excellent, the wine list fairly priced, and sitting outside was a pleasure. Service was helpful and prompt. We will return again and again. Quality made the place a worthwhile time spent!
So fun and yummy dinner for my daughters 12th birthday, the oysters are tops!
Hands down the best seafood in LA. Connie & Ted’s is our favorite local treat. Service is always excellent, as is the food.
Wasn't as noisy sitting outside, though next time I don't want to sit next to a table of 6 or more. We had a couple serving problems and I don't know whose fault it was. Our drinks were forgotten twice . Our waitress compted mine. The food is really very tasty and nicely plated and served. They are interesting ly flavored! Many thanks
Quality and service has definitely gone down. Use to be a lot better.
Small menu (other than 12 kinds of oysters)
Very noisy not = “ambience”
Great time out. Loud but delicious
Wish our server had been more attentive to our wine service and parsing out our courses.
I've been there before and like this place. First thing I got in an argument with the valet guy who told me to pull up where the curb was high and I said no the door will hit the curb...you pull it up.
Sat down next to a table that had the brilliance to bring a screaming toddler into this expensive place. Ordered the clam chowder (New England). It was thin and watery with too many potatoes and not enough clams. It was much better a year ago.
Ordered the black cod and it was way undercooked. I had asked for it to be almost well done. Sent it back, still undercooked so I said to either burn it or get ma a lobster roll. That came and it was OK....but $200 (with tip) for a really disappointing dinner. The people are very nice and the wait staff is great. Too bad the food is not what it used to be.
Our server ignored us, didnt wait on us for over 49 mins and when we ddcided to leave the host didnt care either.
Not going back again
We have lived here for almost 3 years and have never had such slow, inattentive service. We had to ask for virtually everything a second time.
As close as one can get to an east coast seafood joint.
Steamers? Yes! Fried belly clams? Sweet & juicy & crunchy.
Manhattan and Boston clam chowder (also something called Rhode Island clam chowder that I have never seen elsewhere.
Noisy inside, but moderate on the patio.
Service was extraordinary (usually, just good)
Fabulous deal on oysters after 9PM.
Went with NY'ers who stay in LA in August and eat in tony places...they adored it and chastised me for never bringing them before.
